General Hospital Commentary: You got a fast car

General Hospital Commentary: You got a fast car

There wasn’t a shortage of suspects when Jordan swerved to avoid a collision with another car and crashed. Will Jordan survive? Sidwell is on a mission to avenge Marco’s murder, but will someone point him in the right direction before an innocent life is lost? Buckle up for a new General Hospital commentary for the week ending April 10, 2026.

Dear readers, it’s never a good omen when multiple people take to the highway on General Hospital. The moment I saw canoodling Curtis and Jordan, tipsy BLQ, angsty kissing’ cousins Charlotte and Danny, and Dr. “I still make house calls” Gannon all on the road, I 100% knew a car crash was coming. When Danny said to Charlotte, “I just want to go fast.” I worried he’d end up changing his name to Danny Q and becoming a doctor, reversing Jason’s path. Ha.

I did a poll on X (formerly Twitter) and as of now, 78% say it’s Boozy BLQ. If so, that will put baby Phoebe in foster care for sure. Or Chase will dump BLQ for Willow and let Phoebe be fostered by a nightmare dressed like a daydream as Taylor would say.

General Hospital is so magically soapalicious right now. My notes are so long there is no way I can cover everything that’s happened on General Hospital unless I write a General Hospital novel.

The suspects

Just this one storyline encompasses so much drama! Danny wanting to join the mob and vowing revenge on Sidwell, Charlotte acting as his getaway car, Valentin who is supposed to be in hiding, and Carly who is harboring a fugitive out on the road and running into Curtis. Carly using Sonny’s mob connections to fix and hide Charlotte’s wrecked car.

Then there is Dr. Gannon going to treat Rocco outside of the hospital since Lulu asked and he’s Lucky’s bud. (I like that edgier version of Isaiah we first met so much more than the current version catering to whiny Portia all the time.) He treated Rocco’s infection, but eventually when it all comes out, and it will because — as Vivica A Fox reminded us on The Young and the Restless this week — secrets always come out!

Jordan’s fate

Jordan’s plan to take Curtis for an elegant night out got derailed, and it has me worried that Jordan may not make it. I saw a rumor that said, “Jordan confesses a secret to Curtis before she dies.” And I am wondering, could they be rewriting history and making Curtis TJ’s dad?

Mind you, as of today, Jordan is still alive, but if Jordan dies, Curtis will be leaning heavily on his baby mama Portia, and I predict they will eventually get back together. That would free up Isaiah for Britt or Liz or maybe someone else? And rumors are not spoilers. I have zero indication that Jordan will actually die. She came through surgery okay, so as far as we can see as of Friday, she is on the road to recovery. I wonder if Curtis will ever mention to anyone that Valentin helped him, or will he keep Valentin’s secret as thanks for saving his wife?

If Jordan does die, then I may give Sidwell’s suspicions more credence. Did Jordan’s association with Sidwell end her life? Maybe none of the suspects mentioned above did anything. Maybe Jordan was intentionally run off the road by Pascal on Cullum’s orders, or someone else in Sidwell’s orbit?

Cullum’s messy trail

Jordan investigating Marco’s murder would be detrimental to Cullum since he’s the killer, so he would have motive to end Jordan’s life and get her out of the way. It’s clear he has no issue with killing anyone who isn’t useful to him. If I were Josslyn, I’d watch my back, too. As Cullum woke up, he saw her hovering over him with a needle in her hand!

People warned Sonny not to attend Marco’s funeral. He didn’t listen of course. Sonny was running on the “mob has a code” rules. He told Sidwell that Sidwell’s biggest problem is that Sidwell has an enemy out there who hasn’t revealed himself yet. Sonny assumed that by going to the funeral and looking Sidwell in the eye and saying, “Hey man, it wasn’t me, don’t let your son’s real killer go free by focusing on the wrong guy,” that Sidwell would know Sonny was on the up and up. But Sidwell doesn’t have a code, and he didn’t buy Sonny’s declaration of innocence. He is still convinced that Sonny had Marco killed and is pulling every string in town he can to get Sonny convicted.

A sticky situation for Ava

I am also worried for Ava. She’s snuggling up to Sidwell and he’s so volatile. I wish she would just say, “No, Sonny would never kill your son.” Why can’t she just say that? Sonny is no angel, but he would never go into a room and stab someone twenty times, nor would Jason. I understand why Sidwell would jump to that conclusion since he’s blackmailing Sonny and Laura, but seriously, Willow would be more likely to kill someone that way than Sonny would.

Did you see the rage on Willow’s face when she jabbed Drew in the neck? Yikes.

Sonny is vulnerable now without Jason, but he does have Ric by his side. I loved the scene on Friday’s episode when Sonny told Ric he was having the family protected and that the protection included Ric. Ric asked if it was because he was such a good lawyer, and Sonny admitted (finally) that it was because Ric was his brother.

However, another rumor floating around is that Ric has some terminal illness. He keeps telling people he just changed after his “digital detox” aka being kidnapped by Ava, Kristina and Alexis. I can’t imagine what would happen to Sonny with no Jason, no Max and Milo, no Ric, and I think Brick is only a part time contractor. Ha. Who will be on Sonny’s side? Maybe he will have to reconsider Danny’s offer to join the family business.

I also worry that Kai is not long for this world, since Willow overheard Trina and Kai talking about how they know Willow shot Drew. I keep wondering how long this is going to go on. How long is poor, sweet Cameron Mathison going to go to work every day and be strapped into a wheelchair? And who will be the person who finally gets that he’s being drugged? Michael? Wiley? Alexis? Drew is a total asshat, but even he doesn’t deserve what Willow has done to him.

I liked it this week when Michael and Willow talked about the kids. I hate that the writers have turned Willow full psychotic because Rory Gibson and Katelynn MacMullen have such palpable chemistry together, I thought Willow and Michael might reunite one day. But now, I can’t in good faith wish that lunatic on my precious Michael. I like him with Jacinda, but I honestly don’t see Jacinda being on General Hospital long term. Why? Because she is spying on Charlotte for Jack Brennan and if Val finds out Jacinda is a danger to him and his daughter, we will never see her again.

I can’t even remember the names of Michael’s other former hooker girlfriend. (Googled it, her name was Abby.) I still think Willow and Michael are endgame, but is there a way back for Willow after these past few months? What do you think?

I’m also excited to hear your take on the latest Faison child, Cassius! For months we have suspected that something was off about Nathan, but we couldn’t decide if he was an imposter, or a brainwashed version of the real thing.

Now we have our answer! Cassius is Nathan’s twin. Note I didn’t say “evil” twin. I don’t think Cassius is Peter August 2.0 and I don’t think he’s rotten to the core. I think he’s an opportunist, a con man. But at heart, I think he’s a con man like Cody, or like Sam at the beginning – good at heart underneath the shadiness.

Things come into focus on General Hospital

We finally know the truth about Britt and Cassius. They have been working together for two years, she knew when he showed up in town that he was Cassius and not Nathan, but Obrecht 100% does not know. Liesl believes this is her son Nathan. I wonder if she even knew that she gave birth to twins. I can hardly wait for Kathleen Gati to come back and discover that this man is not her angel boy Nathan. God help him.

I believe that Cassius genuinely cares about Lulu and he loves James. I think he’s trying to keep his sister Britt alive. But he’s also working with Sidwell which is a dangerous place to be. I disagree with him on one thing. He should let Britt tell Sidwell that Cullum is the one who shot Marco. I don’t understand Cassius’ reasoning for staying quiet about it and allowing Sidwell to go after Jason and Sonny.

The right thing for the wrong reasons

Right now, Cassius is helping Lulu to keep Rocco safe, he is trying to keep Britt all stocked up on meds, and he is falling into Nathan’s life so easily. I read a lovely interview with Ryan Paevey, and he said that Cassius never had the love and support of a family before like Nathan did. Now that Cassius is living Nathan’s life and people are treating him like a hero, and loving and welcoming him, he kind of likes it and he won’t want to give it up. Paevey said Cassius took over Faison’s work to make money to become a millionaire. So, I see him as a con man, more like Sam and Cody, and less like his evil dad.

Even though Cassius is not Nathan and is conning characters I love, I am still rooting for Cassius to eventually have a Cody-like transformation. One day Cassius’ true identity will be revealed, and I hope our General Hospital writers will write him a beautiful redemption arc. I love Ryan Paevey as an actor, so I make a point of watching all his Hallmark movies too because he’s just so likeable to me.

Cassius’ unwitting sister Nina is also in danger. Jack Brennan is pushing her to get info from Charlotte. Nina has refused and it seems like Dark Willow is plotting a way to force Nina into giving Jack what he wants. When Willow said she was going to eliminate Nina’s objections to helping her, I tried to fathom what evil scheme she was conjuring up, but I’m not that dark and I can’t come up with any good schemes.

The way Willow sits with Drew and brags about all her accomplishments in Congress in her blue rubber gloves while injecting him with drugs to keep him paralyzed is just chilling! It makes me wonder if any of our real Congressional representatives have some dark devious secrets, and let’s be honest, they probably do.

Oh, my dearest readers, nothing in Port Charles has given me as much pure glee as Carly and Valentin. I have seen multiple couple nicknames for them, but #Caradine seems to be the most used one, so let’s go with that. Laura Wright and James Patrick Stuart are steamy, dreamy, and all the other things I love in a sudsy super couple. And that is what I think they are. I cannot take my eyes off of them.

I was getting giddy on Thursday because it looked like things were just about to get carnal with them until stupid Jack showed up at the door.  He informed Carly that he had discovered where the WSB has Jason holed up. The two of them fought and for a minute I thought Carly was going to blurt out that she knew about Joss. But she didn’t.

Torn between two lovers

What Carly said to Valentin is right. Jack does genuinely love her. But she doesn’t love him back because he recruited Joss and “turned her into a killer” to quote Carly. Carly told Jack she could live with him having to lie to her about his job right up until it started affecting the people she loved, like Jason being imprisoned and Vaughn vanishing out of Joss’ life. Side note: Do we think Vaughn will ever reappear, or is he gone for good? Not that I miss him. But sometimes I miss Joss’ other two ex-boyfriends, Cam and Dex. Note that I didn’t say Oscar.

Before Jack showed up, Valentin told Carly that he didn’t want her pretending to be in love with Jack anymore and that she should break it off with Jack. When Jack showed up and wanted to make love to Carly, Valentin was absolutely sullen when Carly pretended to be into it and led Jack upstairs. Valentin was pacing and drinking and then he just left as if he could not bear to see or hear Carly with another man. His intensity thrills me.

Valentin’s confession

Valentin has fallen hard for Carly and admitted it. Carly has fallen hard for him and not admitted it. She asked him, “What do you want me to do when I see Jack, glare and hiss?” He replied, “No, but you don’t have to enjoy it so much.”

The entire speech Valentin gave Carly — “Only you brought me my daughter on Christmas Eve…” — made me weak in the knees. Carly proclaimed it was a mistake that they had slept together. She called it Stockholm Syndrome. They agreed not to have sex anymore and to keep it professional, but as soon as Valentin left the room, she was thinking about his mouth on her neck when they made love. I am deeply committed to them breaking their promise and falling into bed together again. I am as smitten with this fiery coupling as they are with each other.

Time for General Hospital to set Valentin free

But before this can be a real relationship, Valentin needs to be exonerated, or pardoned, or whatever WSB fugitives get. When it comes out that Carly has been hiding him all this time, it will be fireworks galore all over town. I’m excited to see this unfold over the next couple of months.

Meanwhile, across town, Kristina had her grand reopening of Charlie’s Pub. I thought for sure when she was all dressed up looking like a supermodel, Ethan would walk in, their eyes would meet, and her teenage crush would spring back to life. But not so far. It seems his start date will be next Friday on 04/17, and I don’t think she will still have that dress on, so my fantasies will not come to pass.

The open mike night with Gio and Trina was a big hit. Tabyana Ali has a gorgeous voice and it’s amazing that Giovanni Mazza can be so good on violin and guitar! I love it when our General Hospital stars have the opportunity to use their other talents on the show. Jacinda on the other hand was a mystery. We heard that she was going to sing, but then she didn’t, so I don’t really know what that was all about.

Gio and Emma have the sweetest little romance going. I enjoy the way they support one another, and they have the most adorable chemistry. But the more times I hear people asking Emma what’s going on with Anna, the more I feel like Emma and Gio are going to get caught up in some drama. Are they going to France to bust Anna out? I don’t know, but I really miss Finola Hughes, so I hope to have her back on canvas soon.

Will Aunt Stella insist on decorating the nursery in baby ducks? Will Gio back up Miguel Morez at open mic night when he finally comes back from tour?

Are Outback and Fizz going to have a playdate at the dog park soon so we can see some furry cuteness? Will Wiley learn any more new words eavesdropping on Willow and Drew, like “Hey Mommy what is a syringe?”

Is Sidwell going to discover that Justine is tipping off Sonny about Sidwell’s questions and make her vanish? Will Rocco’s infected wound make Dante suspicious that Rocco didn’t get it in the kitchen?

Will Molly’s cowboy book make Cody famous? Is Ric going to survive the job that he was given to tell Alexis that Danny wants to join the mob? Will Cameron Matheson get a special Daytime Emmy for his eye rolling? (He should. It’s on point.)

Will Mayor Collins stop trying to appeal to Jenz’s humanity because it just seems to make him meaner? Will Lulu marry Not-Nathan so he won’t testify against Rocco?

Only tomorrow knows dear readers, and I will tune in tomorrow as long as there are tomorrows.

    It would take a lot for me to accept Michael and Willow reuniting. I would need to see a real change in her. She also needs to make amends for everything she’s done, especially to Michael, Sasha, and daisy.

    • Susan

      Sonny isn’t a cold blooded killer like Sidwell, Callum, etc.? Please, he shot point blank the FBI agent for no real reason and it’s never been explained. And Jason? Come on.

      No to a reunion of Michael and Willow. I’m not sure Jacinda is the end game, but definitely not Willow. That’s ludicrous, even for a soap. I’m doubtful that Michael and Jacinda are destined to be together given her weird facial expressions, which seem to indicate she’s up to something.

      It should have been Gio and Emma performing. The actress who plays Emma has an amazing voice. And we didn’t see Jacinda sing,, so what was the point of saying that she did? I’m sure that the Trina actress is a good singer, but it just didn’t work.

    • Kathie

      They’re not going to put Willow and Michael back together. No way. The question on how they’re going to keep Willow on the show long term is a good one though. She’s headed in the same direction as Nelle and Esme at this point.

      I also agree that Jacinda seems like a temporary distraction for Michael rather than a serious love interest. They really need to cast someone new for Michael. Or maybe someone’s got a daughter I’m not thinking of. Serena Baldwin would be an interesting possibility. I gather she’s an activist which would be a contrast to corporate Michael.

      Then there’s Sasha. I’d be fine to let that character go except for Daisy and the family the show went to a lot of trouble to give her. Including the brother who is about to make an appearance. I’m not sure what Sofia Mattson signing with another show means for that whole issue. It does not seem like a difficult role to recast.

    Gio and Emma maybe cute and sweet but they are boring. In fact, GH still lacks in the romance department. Yes, they are showing couples kissing and sleeping together but most lack any kind of appeal.

    • Noelle

      I completely disagree…..I think Gio & Emma are fantastic. I enjoy every scene.

    Enough with the babies! Please! I can’t take it anymore. If I hear “Phoebe” one more time……

    Enough with these car crashes on seemingly deserted highways. I’ve seen driveways wider than HWY 91. It is astonishing that the only two cars on the road in PC always manage to find each other and crash.
    I laughed when Tracy said that she got stuck in traffic on HWY 91 and even more when Curtis declared that he never experienced that much traffic on HWY 91. WHAT TRAFFIC??
    When there’s an accident, the traffic back up starts at the scene of the accident. We’ve all been in enough traffic jams to know that and we didn’t see any other cars near Jordan and Curtis.
    As far as who caused the accident, I don’t know how it could be anyone’s fault other than Jordan.

  4. JDF

    If Cassius was working on the “project” with Faison, I don’t know why he would need Britt to finish it, unless he was trying to get the medication for her. It also doesn’t make sense why the WSB would be involved in research for medication related to Huntingtons or any disease. But if that’s their story and they’re sticking to it, it stands to reason that the drug Sidwell supplies to Willow to keep Drew “locked in” also comes from
    Cullum. So, if they kill Cullum, it affects Willow as much as Britt. I still don’t believe that Britt has Huntngtons and I really don’t like them making up miricle cures for real diseases.

  5. JDF

    Trina has a nice voice, but that song was awful. I can’t believe that anyone involved with GH could think otherwise unless they wrote the song. Then we had the unseen, unheard, “spectacular” performance by Jacinda. How anyone thought that was a good idea is beyond me and it came out of nowhere. It was worse that the many non singing events they put us through with BLQ.

  6. Shay

    “Hey Mommy. What’s a syringe?” 😆 🤣 😂

  7. SFan

    “I wonder if Curtis will ever mention to anyone that Valentin helped him, or will he keep Valentin’s secret as thanks for saving his wife?” Jordan is NOT Curtis’s wife.

    So, does Nina now have the upper hand with Brennan by threatening to tell Carly he’s the one who made the footage of Willow ‘disappear?” Brennan should have told her if she tells Carly, he’ll have NINA arrested for bribing a WSB official and disappear her like the WSB did to Jason! Plus, Charlotte vowed to go full Cassadine on Nina for betraying her and Papa. When and how?

    If Kai is in danger from Willow, why not Trina? They BOTH know Willow shot Drew. And WHEN is this drawn-out story going to end? Willow AND Nina need to pay for everything they’ve done. It’s time.

  8. Linda Marie

    I’m in the minority but I don’t like Carly and Valentine together. For me, it will forever be Valentine and Anna.

    Random thoughts, jotted down during the week as I viewed.
    Let’s see how many things I got right.

    Anti-Stella is in Full Meddling Mode.
    The Baby Nursery Fiasco.
    Should be fun.

    Trina doesn’t want Daddy Curtis to attend her Open Mic Nite Debut.
    Believe me, she’ll be doing him a Favor.
    ~~~~
    Shock and Surprise!
    BLQ and Chase get to Foster Baby Pebbles.
    Another reason for Chase to be “Grateful” to Wallow.
    ~~~
    And now that Danny heard Ric and Sonny talking about Sidwell, Danny’s gonna go Rogue.
    Maybe Rocco can give him a few pointers.
    ~~~~
    Sonny to Krissy at Charlie’s:
    “It’s gonna be a Great Night!”
    Which, of course, means someone’s going to get Kidnapped, Shot, or Set on Fire.
    Or Perhaps All Three!
    ~~~
    Britt to Nathan, “Out of my way, NotNathan! Or shall I call you ‘Cashew'”?
    ~~~
    I’m typing this three quarters of the way through Tuesday’s Episode.
    Let’s see if my predictions are correct.
    Okay, the last thing we saw was BLQ’s Wine Glass, empty, as she left the house for Charlie’s.
    Then Danny, at the Yoga Center/Gym (What? NO Volvolino’s?) wants Charlotte to take him somewhere “Going Forward Fast.”
    So she offers to drive him. Fast.
    Then, ShrewLu discovers Rocco’s Cellulitis.
    She calls Gannon, who promises to Rush Over (40 Minutes he sez) for a House Call. Because Lulu is Too Obstinate to bring the Kid to GH. Why?
    Who knows. The More People on the Road at this point, the better.
    I’m just wondering WHO’s going to crash into Whom?
    Y’All just know it’s gonna happen.
    Oh, great, now we’re forced to hear Trina sing an Awful Song while Curtis and Jordan get in HER car and drive.
    And, of course.
    ::Screeech::
    ~~~~
    We’re forced to hear Gio play Mediocre Guitar, Trina sing an Awful Song, all the while Jordan and Curtis are Swapping Spit while driving on the One Dark Winding Road that EVERYONE, including Danny and Charlotte go speeding along recklessly.
    Who was surprised there were Multiple Accidents?
    And What/Who was the Cause?
    Obviously, Jordan and Curtis caused their own crash, but how did Charlotte’s Car end up on the Guardrail?
    And how many Vats O Wine DID LooseLips and BLQ consume before BLQ ran out the door?

    Hey! I Wanted to hear Jacinda sing!
    What’s this “Cut to Commercial” nonsense!
    Evidently Paige Herschell sings with a Jazz Group IRL.
    So why didn’t we get to hear her sing?
    We Cannot Have Nice Things.
    Check out her Instagram Page.
    She’s Good!!!
    And she Sings with her Dog!
    ~~~
    Poor Val!
    He loves Carly, too.
    But Droopy Dawg NotBrennan still has “something” Carly needs.
    ::Sigh::
    Doesn’t the Dawn of Drew house have a Kitchen or something?
    After Wallow reminded Zombie Drew what a Lousy, Vindictive Congressman he was and Ninny came running in exclaiming she had to talk to Wallow “Alone”, why couldn’t they have retreated to the Kitchen?
    While I’m enjoying “Silent Blinking Captain Pike Drew”, I’m looking forward to EwDrew regaining the Power of Sleech, so he an Wallow and Ninny can REALLY have It Out.
    I enjoyed the Interaction at GH between Sidwell and Turner, knowing that they (the Actors) just celebrated their 16 Year Anniversary.
    Fun Stuff.
    Carly to Val:
    “…and STAY IN THE ATTIC!”
    Val can stay in MY Attic any time!
    As for Val Mysteriously appearing and disappearing on “Route 91″…
    I think Curtis “Owes” Val this one.
    I think he should keep his yap shut.
    We’ll see.
    After all Curtis is All About Curtis.
    • Missez Premise
      Why can’t we edit on this page?
      I see my typos and I can’t fix them.
      Arrgghhh.
    If there is a secret that Jordan reveals to Curtis, I doubt it would be that Curtis is actually TJ’s dad. Curtis is very big on fidelity, as we know from his reaction to finding out Portia was still married when they were seeing each other. He never would have gotten with Jordan while she was married to his brother. I also don’t think Jordan is dying, or that Cullum had someone cause her accident. She knows nothing about the illegitimate side of Sidwell’s business, and as for Marco’s death, all Sidwell asked her to do is track the police investigation into his death, not investigate herself.
    Josslyn did not have a needle in her hand when Cullum woke up. She was just checking his IV bags. Only Britt had a needle, and she was already out of the room before Josslyn entered.
    I agree that Cassius just seems like a con man, not an evil one.
    Anything between Kristina and Ethan was before I started watching GH, so I don’t know what to expect from his return. However, I still feel that Kristina has developed feelings for Jacinda. Even if Ethan becomes a potential love interest for her, I don’t believe it will get rid of her feelings for Jacinda.
  11. Noelle
    I am just not ready for Drew to be back. That character is so obnoxious. I would be happy if he stayed locked in for another year.
  12. Sue
    Aren’t Curtis and Jordan still married? Didn’t Auntie never mail in the divorce papers?
  13. Kathie
    Odd comment by Ryan Peavy on Nathan. I understand the no love for Cassius part. Aside from being just a bad guy, we know Faison to be a harshly critical father.
    But Nathan’s family had pretty significant issues as well. Nina obviously loved him. But she went into the coma when he was fairly young as I understood it. And the father was already deceased by then, right? So that’s at least half of Nathan’s childhood with just Madeline, and she was a piece of work. I don’t think Madeline was capable of love, too ruthless and selfish. So where was this loving environment Nathan was raised in?
    Maybe it would be clearer if I read the article.
