General Hospital Commentary: Secret Agent Man

General Hospital Commentary: Secret Agent Man

Dear readers, I will ask for your forgiveness in advance, because I know I am in the minority here, but I feel sorry for Jack Brennan. Don’t misunderstand, I am ALL IN on Carly and Valentin – it’s the most sizzling pairing General Hospital has had in years! But damn if Chris McKenna’s heartbreaking portrayal of utter shock and betrayal didn’t make me feel sad for Jack.

Sure, Jack recruited Joss into the WSB. Certainly, he is guilty of all the things Carly accused him of, like leading Joss to Cyrus. But this man, a closed off secret agent who accidentally fell in love with the force of nature that is Carly Spencer, still broke my heart.

And The Emmy Goes To…

These three amazing actors, my beloved James Patrick Stuart, the soap goddess Laura Wright and the aforementioned heartbroken spy Chris McKenna turned in powerhouse performances all week long. They should gather up all of these scenes on a flash drive, pop them in an envelope marked “Emmy reel for your consideration” and start planning what outfits they want to wear to collect their trophies.

I am not alone in my assessment. The online soap community went bananas over these scenes, and I haven’t seen this much engagement in eons. It makes me so happy when the writers write solid material, and the actors take it up five notches with their performances. I have been a soap lover for decades and this week will be one of the weeks I remember.

Your Cheatin’ Heart

When Jack asked Carly who she was sleeping with and she slyly smiled and said, “Turn around.” And Valentin was standing their grinning with a gun pointed at Jack’s chest; I squealed with delight! It was Magically Soapalicious.

I assumed that Valentin would high tail it out of there – but Carly and Valentin decided to come out of hiding and taunt Jack with all of their intricate betrayals, from Carly being Valentin’s fake lawyer at Steinmauer, to watching Jack’s face as he realized that Carly manipulated him into getting Val released back to the United States. As each new revelation and accusation came out, we knew we were finally going to get the payoff we have been waiting for all these months!

It’s Over

As Jack spat out his explanations and excuses, Carly’s face didn’t soften. She was having none of his back pedaling. Carly’s truest line was about how Jack took her sweet, beautiful, kind daughter and turned her into a lying murdering spy like him. Ouch. I cannot begin to express how much I am in love with this storyline.

The funny thing is, when General Hospital recast Charles Mesure, I was sure I would hate the recast because I loved Charles so much. But Chris McKenna made me care about Jack even when I hated what he was doing. The one thing I can say about Jack is that I think he’s a genuinely good guy – he’s on the right side of things, he’s not a treacherous double agent. He is sincerely trying to uphold the law and protect the people under his jurisdiction.

Rooting For The Anti-Hero

But like all of our anti-heroes on General Hospital, it’s Jack’s methods that sometimes fall short. Jack truly loved Carly but in spite of that, he still recruited her precious daughter. And now that Cullum replaced him as the head of the Port Charles WSB field office, all of Jack’s promises to protect Joss are out the window.

Jack’s week went from bad to worse. After losing his lover, discovering she was sleeping with his arch enemy, and lying and manipulating him for months, having one of his agents outed, and being pushed aside as bureau chief by Cullum, then comes Valentin with a gun and Nina with a needle! OMG! How can you tell me you feel no sympathy for this character? Poor Jack. The previews for Monday look like Valentin may help Nina cover up Jack’s limp form after being injected with the serum used to keep Drew locked in. I don’t like that either, because I don’t want Valentin committing any further crimes.

A Shocking Turn Of Events

When Nina kept hesitating to give Drew his shot, I thought Drew was going to knock the needle off the table and jab Nina with it and roll away in a desperate escape. But I never considered that Nina would jab Jack with it!  The turn of events this week on General Hospital has been mind-blowing. So much action in one week!

Side note, this week I walked into the living room to find my husband — who pretends he doesn’t watch General Hospital — sitting in his recliner blinking furiously. I asked, “What’s wrong with you?” He was pretending to be Drew. LOL He cracks me up! Just when I think he’s not paying attention, I find out he absolutely IS.

A Sublime Romance

But on the other side of this equation, the romantic part, which I love as much as the mayhem, the love story between Carly and Valentin. It’s sublime. I enjoy their flirting, teasing, and their passionate, “pin me up against the wall baby” style of love making. OMG, I could watch them all day. It’s hot. It’s romantic. And it’s their power couple origin story.  Valentin was right. Carly does have a type, but he may be the best partner she has had in eons.

As much as I loved Anna and Valentin, I don’t want Val to go back to Anna when she comes back. Oh hell no. He belongs to Carly now. They are a much better fit. Carly is not above dancing on the wrong side of the law and scheming with Valentin. She’s the Laura to his Luke. She would go on the run with him, damn the consequences. I hope the General Hospital writers see the potential of giving these two adventure storylines.

Thank You

Whichever writer decided to pair Carly and Valentin deserves a big raise. Tell me their name so I can send them a thank you card.

But this storyline isn’t the only one that blew up this week! Baby agent Joss asked too many questions about Nathan, ended up in Anna’s old jail cell meeting a menacing guy named Cassius Faison! What a shock!

Don’t get me started on more rewritten history. Cassius said Liesl thought he died at birth because Faison kept him and let Liesl keep Nathan. But the original story is that Liesl let her sister Madeline raise Nathan because Faison didn’t know about him or that she was pregnant with him, or am I imagining that? (I’m not.)

Kudos To Eden

Eden McCoy has been bringing it this week, too. That one tear that rolled down her face when she realized she wasn’t with good guy Nathan, but his evil twin Cassius, broke my heart. Imagine Joss truly believing that Nathan was in there, just a victim of some sort of mind control she thought she could get him help and overcome it and bring him back to the man he used to be and then to be hit with “Nathan died eight years ago.”

I could feel Joss’s sudden fear in my own body. The way when you suddenly realize you’re in over your head and the panic travels all the way down to your toes.

A Spark of Chemistry

And readers, don’t hate me for saying this, but Cassius and Joss had a little chemistry. Yeah, yeah, Ryan is twice Eden’s age in real life, but so what? They are still riveting onscreen together. As Cassius told Lulu, ‘Don’t see me as your captor, think of me as your partner in staying alive,’ or something to that effect They are going to have to work together — and with Britt — to get out of the mess the three of them find themselves in. I liked that General Hospital posted photos of the stunt doubles that did that ass-kicking fight scene. That was fun.

Mama Bear Mode

When Carly can’t find Joss, it won’t be like when Anna went missing and everyone believed some random text about Anna being on assignment. Carly will scour every inch of Port Charles until she finds her daughter.

It seems odd to me that Cullum is up and walking around and back at work so soon after his gunshot, but you know, suspension of disbelief. If he ends up at Wyndemere and finds Joss in his basement jail, I really will fear for her life.

Time For Cullum To Die

The one thing I don’t want to happen is for Jack to die saving Joss, I want Cullum to die, and I want Pascal to die. But leave Jack alive for future WSB storylines. I’m ready for Sidwell to be put in jail or killed off, too – mostly so Valentin and Charlotte can go home to Wyndemere. Since it seems Nikolas will be in prison for eight million years, at least a Cassadine will be on Spoon Island.

Free Nikolas

It really does bother me that Laura never visits Nikolas or even mentions him, nor does Lulu. Nikolas Cassadine was one of the most interesting characters on General Hospital. I know Tyler Christopher is gone, and that saddens me, but we have had several Nikolas recasts over the years and any of them would be better than no Nikolas at all, in my opinion. But I digress.

Britt is working on the mystery research project, and it makes zero sense to me. What is it that the villains are hoping for? She’s working on a bomb of some sort it seems. For what purpose? To blow up Port Charles? Why? What do they want or hope to gain that they couldn’t get anyway with their ridiculous wealth and influence? I would be more engaged in this if I had some sense of what they were planning to do with Faison’s research and why there is no other way to get it.

You know what else doesn’t make sense? Saying Ric and Sonny were close as kids when they didn’t grow up together. The reason Ric came to town hating Sonny, was that Sonny’s mom Adela raised Sonny and ditched Ric to grow up with his father Trevor. Ric blamed Sonny for taking their mother away. Ric’s father blamed Sonny for Adela falling down the stairs while she was pregnant with Ric. If memory serves, Trevor accused Sonny of pushing her because Sonny was supposedly jealous of the new baby or something like that. At any rate, Ric and Sonny did NOT grow up together, period.

When Ric first came to town, Sonny didn’t have any idea that Ric was his half-brother! That’s why Ric was always so jealous of Jason. Sonny called Jason his brother when Ric was his actual half-brother. So, to go back now and rewrite the story that Ric and Sonny were close as kids negates all of their past history.

What is Ric Really Up To?

But at present, Sonny had Ric followed, because all those years of suspicion still live in his heart. Ric lied about his whereabouts, but I am not 100% convinced that Ric IS betraying Sonny. I almost forgot that Cody knows Ric was kidnapped until Cody flashed back to it this week. I wonder when that bombshell will come out?

What sort of shenanigans are Ric and Ave up to? We don’t really know yet. We saw Ric give Ava an envelope full of money, and we also heard Ric and Ava discussing the fact that Sonny wouldn’t be happy that the two of them were working together. But it appeared that they intended to tell Sonny after whatever deal they made was done. I mean, maybe Ric is buying Sonny a work of art he’s always wanted to cement their truce. Or perhaps, just like Lucy Coe, Ava is working Sidwell for information. Ava is not above working both sides, and Sidwell’s goon Pascal threatened Lucas! I just hope that Sonny doesn’t shoot Ric before Ric has an opportunity to explain. I really want their brotherly truce to hold. But I’m a dreamer.

Reckless Driving

Back to rewriting history. Although this history just happened last month. We all saw Jordan and Curtis making out like teenagers and swerving while she was driving, so the entire Curtis and Jordan accident investigation is making me mad.

The PCPD is wasting valuable resources trying to find another car that did NOT cause Curtis and Jordan’s accident. The person that caused the accident was Jordan, who was driving while distracted by making out with her ex-husband instead of focusing on the road. If the cops pick up BLQ she should counter-sue Curtis and Jordan for the cost of her car repairs where she had to swerve off the road to avoid them driving into her lane. “Oh wow, thanks officer, I was wondering who ran me off the road!”

Watching Curtis and Jordan whining every day about the other driver when they both know damned well, they were the ones canoodling behind the wheel is making me nuts. I have rolled my eyes so many times I lost count.

Isaiah’s Secrets

As to Isaiah, he might be the one that Charlotte and Danny crashed into when they had their accident? Who knows. It’s just clear that everyone in Port Charles should take Ubers.

Hey, There Delilah

Another big reveal this week is that Ethan Lovett knew Delilah, the mystery woman who gave birth to Phoebe. Is Ethan Phoebe’s daddy? Is she a Spencer baby? Ethan burned Delilah’s photo and tearfully told her he had seen the baby and that he wouldn’t’ tell anyone. Tell anyone what? Certainly, BLQ and Chase can financially provide for Phoebe, but if Micheal’s plan falls into place to have Chase succumb to Willow’s temptations and sleep with her, then what? BLQ will dump Chase, and then Willow will probably try to get custody of more babies that aren’t hers…

Or, in another soap trope, Chase and Brooklynn will adopt Phoebe and she will have some rare disorder where they need a match for her and Ethan will have to get tested and discover they are related? It’s hard to say.

There have been so many soapalicious plots this week that my notes are 4 pages long. Next up, Liz and Dante. Liz and Dante have been spending time together recently and I am enjoying their dynamic. It’s very easy and natural. Not sparks like Val and Carly, but warm and comforting and familiar, which is also very nice. Liz is dating Ric, but if he is double crossing Sonny, that relationship may be short lived

Against her will, Liz had to tell Dante that she suspected Rocco might be the shooter. I watched with an ache in my heart as the look of sad realization washed over Dante’s face. We watched him construct all the pieces together in his mind. That scene with Dominic Zamprogna and Rebecca Herbst was so tender and sad – knowing Jason is in jail covering for Dante’s son seemed to make an impact on Dante.

Rocco On The Run

Meanwhile, Cassius in Nathan-mode is trying to push Lulu into forcing Rocco to leave town. She’s not having any of it, and I think by the end of the conversation she noticed that the man in her house did not seem like the Nathan she has always known. I feel certain she will distance herself from him. So now what? Will Dante and Lulu come to blows, or work together to protect their son?

How long will Cassius be able to keep up his cover if Lulu is on to him? Will he lock her in a room with Joss? Readers, Monday can’t come fast enough for me! There are so many loose ends!

We Need A Little Controversy

This may be a controversial take but hear me out all the way before you come at me in the comments. I’m growing weary of cross promotions on the ABC/Disney networks. And I’m a Disney girl who has had a Disney annual pass for decades. Even so, I don’t want Disney things popping up on every single show I watch on ABC.

I am not saying that I didn’t enjoy the music with Michael James Scott, of course I did. He is phenomenal! But the thought that a Broadway star would come to some little bar in upstate New York is absurd. It reeks of desperation. I doubt this is the case, because Disney musicals usually sell out, but it appears like Disney can’t sell tickets to Aladdin, so they said, “Hey let’s put that Genie guy on General Hospital and drum up a little business.”

Am I being too mean? Probably. But again, I reiterate, I loved Michael James Scott and his singing was wonderful. I would love to go to Broadway and see Aladdin. My sticking point is only that the plot point of how that performance fit into General Hospital was weak.

Much Love For Gemma (Gio and Emma) Too

The Emma and Gio scenes were adorable. I love their coupling and I am happy they got to go on location and have an adventure. They will remember it forever! I was a young actor who toured in a theatre group when I was in my 20’s and now I am in my 60’s and still remember all of my wild tour adventures vividly. I think the storyline could have ended with Emma and Gio having a romantic weekend on Broadway and seeing the show versus him coming to the Savoy. Just my opinion.

Will Joss get the smell of cigarillos on her clothes from ghost Faison’s last visit? When Pascal finds out Cullum is the one who murdered Marco, will he use the fire poker on Cullum and apologize to Lucas? Will Not-Nathan take Lulu a big bowl of moss for her house-cell so she will feel at home?

Will baby Phoebe get too popular like baby Ace did and get shipped out of the country? Are Sonny and ADA Turner going to get busted for their tryst and she will have to get a job running Pozzulo’s? Will the local auto mechanic find it strange that he has to keep fixing everyone’s wrecked cars on the same week?

Will Mayor Collins get so lonely for Kevin that she has drinks and makes out with Ezra Boyle? Is Carly going to remember Valentin’s pickle next time?

Will General Hospital fans tune into The young and the Restless to see Michelle Stafford and Roger Howarth act together again and pretend that old Nina and Franco are back? Are Britt and Emma going to be besties now that Emma let Britt examine her privates?

Will Tracy’s General Hospital stylist tell me where they get all those amazing outfits for Tracy? I want some. Will crazy Willow get to keep her congressional seat after it comes out that she was drugging her husband? These days, probably so.

Will Joss be able to find anything in those plastic bins to MacGyver herself out of that dungeon when Anna could not? Is Lulu going to take Nathan’s suggestion and go to Ireland to see Kevin and Ace, or will we not see Ace again until he’s in Jr. High?

Will Portia get a side job at Home and Heart hawking a new Deception miracle cream that erased all her scars? Will Kai be charged as an accessory because he knows Willow shot Drew and didn’t go to the police?

Only tomorrow knows dear readers and I will tune in tomorrow as long as there are tomorrows.

    Just an editing comment. Several times, you (or an editor) used the name Lulu when you meant Josslyn. It is confusing and should be able to be easily changed asap.

    I guess that MJS can now say he’s hit the big time since he’s played “The Savoy”. What’s next for MJS? The Nurses Ball?
    Hey writers, let’s get back to some semblence of reality .
    It looks like they are going to torture us with Trina having a singing career. As if it’s that easy.

    Who knew that Brennan was so high strung and emotional. They don’t make spies like they used to!

    Curtis’ obsession with the “other driver” is off the wall bizarre. Someone needs to point out to Curtis that he and Jordan could have maimed or killed the other driver and Jordan could be facing charges, especially if they find the other driver. They also don’t know that the other driver hit anything or saw the crash. I’ve noticed that elements of the crash are wrong. We drive on the right side of the road so Jordan had to have drifted to her left into oncoming traffic, which means that she had to veer back to her right and that would have resulted in the passenger side crashing, not the drivers side. Same is true for the other car if it hit a guard rail.
    At least they seem to be backing off of Jordan blaming the other driver or maybe she just doesn’t like Curtis trying to pin the accident on Isaiah.

    The conversation between Cassius and Josslyn did fill in some blanks we were wondering about such as how Liesl did not know that she had twins but there’s still the question of what Cassius has been doing for about forty years of his life. I’m surprised at how Cassius is becoming unglued. I guess Lulu does that to a lot of people.

    One of the reasons that I want to see Willow brought down is that I can’t take much more of this silly work from home Congresswoman who has all this power story.

    Sonny’s sudden paranoia and jumping to conclusions about Ric is another off the wall development. This is how Sonny acts when he is off his bipolar meds. I think we all know that this will lead to Sonny being embarrassed and having to apologize to Ric. Sonny has a realtionship with Ava and even let her live with him in his penthouse to keep her safe since she’s Avery’s mother so how is Ric “betraying” him? I guess Sonny will blame Nathan.

    • Ruthie

      So Jordan crossed the whole left lane in order to crash on the drivers side. That means she could have hit and killed lots more people in her stupid accident. How can Curtis possibly think someone else was responsible for it?

    • Kam

      Sonny went to two people that he trusts to discuss his suspicions about Ric. One was Alexis, who knows Ric really well; the other was Justine, who doesn’t know him that well and is likely going to be impartial. Both of them told Sonny that he is possibly overreacting and should get more information and possibly talk to Ric. However, Sonny then finds out from Ethan that Ric met with Ava, who Sonny doesn’t like. Despite Ethan confirming that he has a bias since he doesn’t like Ric, and stating that he doesn’t necessarily know for a fact what was going on between Ava and Ric, Sonny uses that as proof that Rick is betraying him. When will Sonny ever learn that he needs to think things through before immediately assuming betrayal?

  4. JDF

    I thought Sonny saying that he and Ric grew up together was odd as well and the same is true for the Faison twin sons story. Maybe the writers don’t realize how long many of us have been watching GH. I can excuse a little rewriting of history but not to the extent that they are insulting the long time viewers intelligence.

  5. JDF

    We don’t know anything about Faisons’ relationship with Cassius. Is it possible that when he shot Nathan he thought that he was shooting Cassius? When Cassius explained why he was involved with “Faisons’ final project” he said it was to make millions of dollars, nothing sinister. Maybe Faison considered Cassius a disappointment because he cared more about money than power.

  6. Rita 2025

    I agree with everything in this week’s column except for Gio and Emma. While they’re adorable, they lack depth and are boring. If we’re honest, cuteness and adorableness can only take you so far. The Aladdin scenes were a waste of time and didn’t elevate the characters. The actor and actress deserve a much more compelling story.

  7. Missez Premise

    Random Thoughts, jotted down while viewing.
    Oh. My. God.
    How much did Y’All LOVE that scene where an Enraged, Tearful Droopy Dawg Brennan says to Carly, “How Long? And Who the hell is it?”
    Carly, “Turn Around”.
    And there’s Our Boyfriend Val, Pistol aimed Directly at Brennan.
    I literally applauded.
    Yes.
    ~~~
    Ok, someone wake me when the Savory Scenes, complete with Curtis’s Lynch Mob Pity Party, are over.
    And if anyone else makes it a point to Gush over Trina’s *Seriously, Only Okay* singing, I’m going to Barf.
    I have no idea who this Michael James Whatever guy is, so, wake me when it’s over.
    ~~~
    So NotNathan ::Snagged:: Agent Barbie, huh.
    Ah, but she might actually have said something smart: “What about James?”
    If NotNathan/Cashew is smart, he’ll strike up a Deal with Agent Barbie.
    Yeah, no, I don’t think it would work, either.
    Just an Idea.
    Oh well, so much for that idea.
    Agent Barbie has gotten herself Incapacitated.
    ~~~
    I Absolutely Love Ava’s Leather Dress!
    I wish I could *still* wear something like that.
    ~~~
    Okay, I have to admit I enjoyed MJS’s “Genie” Performance at the Savoy.
    The Band was Actually Quite Good.
    I enjoyed it because I *know* the Tune (My Daughter was BabySat with Disney Sing Along Videos back in the 90’s).
    ~~~
    Oh, How Nice!
    I see Joss has Anna’s Old Suite.
    What Fun.
    ~~~
    So.
    Gannon drives a Black BMW SUV.
    Dante said “Black German Made Car.”
    However, the Offending Car could also be a Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, or even a Volkswagen.
    Just Staahp!
    And Turner is just going along with Whiney Man Child Curtis?
    Oh, Please.

    Are we to believe that Baby Pebbles is Ethan’s “Lovett Child” with Delilah??

    And now Ethan is trying to convince Sonny that Slic Ric is Up to No Good?
    What a Bunch of Hypocrites.
    We were enjoying Ric’s Epiphany.
    I like Ric on the Road to Redemption.
    But No.
    Now Sonny is back to being an Idiot and Ric’s lying, although I can’t even remember what his “meeting” with Ava was even about.
    The Writers Hate Us and We Can’t Have Nice Things.
    I don’t care what anyone says.
    Sonny is a Moron.
    ~~~
    Boy, Agent Barbie sure did a Number on Cashew’s Face.
    Betcha his Nuts are pretty sore as well.
    But I doubt he’s gonna have Gannon check those out.
    Funny how Renowned Transplant Surgeons like Gannon revert to ER Fast Track Physicians at a Moments Notice.
    ~~
    Okay, I Love Long Hair, I love Big Hair.
    Trina’s Hair, however, is WAY too BIG for her Tiny Body!!
    I swear I picture her standing up and toppling over.
    How does she not have Neck Pain?
    Tone it Down, Girl!!
    I keep picturing this one episode of I Love Lucy where she tried to be one of Ricky’s Showgirls and went flying Headdress First off the Stage.
    ~~~
    Wow, Dark Willow is really getting into that Evil Eyeliner!

    Is Cullum wearing a Toupee?
    It’s a pretty good one if he is.
    ~~~
    I don’t know about Y’All, but if I was Rendered Unconscious like Agent Barbie and awoke in a Strange Basement Suite, first thing I’d do is look for a bathroom.
    I ALWAYS have to Pee when I wake up!
    NotNathan/Cashew said Faison raised him and Liesel thought he died…
    Actual Nathan was raised by Madeline, Nina’s mother, so Faison wouldn’t know about him or his birth, so how did he raise Cassius?
    Make this Make Sense.
    ~~~
    Boy I think Nina’s the one who’s gonna end up (Back In) The Loony Bin.
    The whole thing with Ninny, Zombie Drew, Jack and Val was Highly Entertaining.
    Did Ninny mean to inject Jack? Or was that meant for Val?
    If she’d just have stopped talking for two seconds and given the Syringe to Drew in the first place…
    The way Drew was rolling his eyes I thought they were going to pop out of his head.
    Quite Entertaining.

    You know who’s NOT entertaining?
    Sonny and his Narcissistic Paranoia.
    When was the last time Sonny had his Meds checked?
    Looks like he’s due for an adjustment.
    Boy, Sonny sure is a Narcissistic Jerk.
    Everything is about him!
    What a Maroon.

    Didn’t Anna leave some type of message on the underside of the coffee table in the room where Jos is being held?

    If Pascal weren’t such a Tool, he could make an Amusing Inspector Clouseau Character.

  8. Kam

    I don’t think Ethan is the father of Delilah’s baby. I think he was helping her with something, probably hiding from the father of her baby

    • JDF

      Ethan being the father would be too easy and the writers wouldn’t be able to drag that story out for months. Ethan was probably protecting Deliah from whoever the father is.

  9. Linus

    Enjoyed the column as always. My random thoughts and questions triggered by the show and the comments here.

    I agreed with the person who noted Sonny’s paranoia seemed out of the blue. To me it gave echoes of when Ava was reducing his bipolar dose (man that story was handled horribly for all characters concerned). I HOPE that’s not where the Ric story is going (although it would sort of fit if the ‘he’ Ava arranged the meeting with was her pharmacist friend from before). I suspect Ric was getting something for Elizabeth and that there’s an innocuous reason that won’t be discovered until Sonny shoots Ric or otherwise overreacts.

    Was anyone else hoping the two spies battling over the gun would result in Drew getting shot and maybe killed? But I will wholeheartedly agree with Tamilu that Nina stabbing Brennan with it was a wonderfully unexpected twist. (On a side note, having Cynthia literally throw up her hands as the boys were fighting seemed a bit ridiculous. She could have at least grabbed for the gun.)

    Still hoping the Brook Lynn as second driver is a red herring but also WAY agree that the hunt for someone who may not even know there was an accident is beyond absurd.

    Also, I suspect Ethan was trying to help Delilah get her baby safe from someone else. Is there an evil blast from the past in our future when a father is revealed? Or is Delilah another Sidwell spawn who was trying to keep her own kid safe from her evil dad? Having a Quartermaine-raised baby turn out to belong to the Sidwell family could make for some fun scenes between Jens and Tracy.

    Is Maxie now a recurring character because of Kirsten’s move? It seems like she was in a few scenes upon her return and has now been notably absent.

    An aside – something in the last couple weeks reminded me of yet another dropped plot line from the past – when Brook Lynn and Maxie were going to work together to oust Tracy. Not a dropped thread I care about that much. I’d MUCH rather know who killed Austin Gatlin Holt, who was gas-lighting Ava, and who the writers originally intended to be Austin’s ‘she’ big bad boss. How great would it be to have a forum where the writers could reveal where they were going (assuming they knew) with dropped plots from the past?

    Finally, a BIG THANKS to Dan and the ladies for creating this site and writing these columns. I love hearing Tamilu’s and Liz’s thoughts on the show as well as those who comment on the columns. I missed the old amcpages but am beyond grateful we have the not-two-scoops here.
