How much longer can Willow keep her secrets buried? Was Marco honest with Lucas, or was it just another lie to keep Lucas from walking out? How will Brook Lynn react when Chase takes the fall for the planted key on Michael’s keyring? Let’s discuss that, and the beautiful tribute to Anthony Geary in an all-new General Hospital commentary for the week ending February 20, 2026.
If General Hospital had a theme this week, it was lies, lies, lies. The lies we tell ourselves, the lies we tell others, and the lies that we get caught up in. Then there’s Nathan, a man with more questions and secrets swirling around him than answers. What happens now that Maxie is awake and reunited with her loved ones — and Nathan?
Reunited, and it feels so …
The moment many of us Naxie (Nathan and Maxie) fans have been waiting for has finally arrived. Maxie woke up from a six-month coma, sprang (literally) out of bed and rejoined the land of the living. I was so happy that I didn’t mind just how preposterous it all was. No feeding tube, no catheter, no monitors of any kind, and no muscle atrophy. Just a simple black shirt, a pair of light-colored jeans, and socks.
My husband was in a coma for three days back in 2020 and he needed two weeks of occupational therapy just to sit in a chair unsupervised. Aaah, the magic of soaps. 😉
Family first
I wasn’t selfish enough to expect Nathan and Maxie’s reunion to happen right away. The writers did things the right way. Maxie was greeted by her two eldest children and her mother. Loved that for Felicia, Georgie, and James. I was even delighted for Spinelli when he walked into Maxie’s room and saw that his lady love was awake. I might want Nathan and Maxie to get back together — provided he’s the real Nathan — but I didn’t begrudge Spixie (Spinelli and Maxie) their reunion.
Later, Maxie returned home where she shared a heartwarming reunion with Mac, Bailey (who squeezed in a visit with her mom between naps), Brook Lynn, and that jerk Chase. Even Lulu stopped by to say hello. By this point I was getting rather impatient because it was Naxie’s reunion that I most wanted to see.
At last
As Thursday’s episode drew to a close, both Nathan and Maxie ended up at the cemetery where inexplicably there was still a headstone for Nathan’s empty grave. Creepy. I’d want that sucker filled in and the headstone destroyed. But I guess it works for dramatic effect. Unfortunately, our General Hospital scribes love a little emotional torture, so they are making us Naxie fans wait until Monday for everything to unfold. Grrr.
I would love to see Nathan and Maxie run into each other’s arms, share a passionate kiss, and pick up where they left off. But this is a soap not a fairytale. Nothing is ever easy, and happily-ever-after is never lasting. Nathan and Maxie were living that life when Nathan was shot by his diabolical father.
My endless love
To say things are complicated would be an understatement. The General Hospital writers have made sure to make this as soapy as possible. Spinelli loves Maxie, and together they’ve created a wonderful life as a blended family. Meanwhile, Nathan is the man on the outside, trying to connect with his son while Maxie lingered in a coma. He found an understanding ear in Lulu, whom he developed feelings for and kissed a couple of times.
But all the reasons that Nathan grew close to Lulu are now true for Maxie too. Maxie has the same insight and understanding into Nathan’s seven-year hiatus from life that Lulu has. Will his feelings for Lulu fade now that Maxie is back in his life? I hope so because I really can’t ship Nathan and Lulu, even if Maxie ultimately decides that her future is with Spinelli.
But first, I’m going to need some answers. Real answers.
Maxie knows best
Is Nathan really Nathan or is he and imposter? I don’t know, but Maxie will. No one knows Nathan better than she does. I realize there was a DNA test, but never in the history of DNA tests have they ever been reliable on General Hospital when shenanigans are afoot. Nathan suddenly returning from the dead a few months before a villainous WSB director who is blackmailing Nathan’s back-from-the-dead sister, and reviving their megalomaniac father’s work definitely qualifies as shenanigans.
If it turns out that Nathan isn’t Nathan, I want Maxie to take him down. This is her story, not Lulu’s.
Sisters before misters
I know it’s a soap, but Lulu is absolutely breaking the best friend code. If any of my best friends developed feelings for my husband – even if I was dead – I would be livid. I swear I’d come back and go full poltergeist on them. My husband is off limits. Period. End of conversation. Lulu and Nathan aren’t in love. They are lonely. A true friend would step back, let Nathan and Maxie work things out for themselves, and move on. Sisters before misters!
The best thing that Lulu can do right now – besides not going to her enabling mother for advice – is focus on her kids and maybe create a profile on a dating website.
I’m sorry, so sorry
Lucas learned the truth about Marco when he overheard Sidwell and Marco plotting. Lucas doesn’t know everything, but he knows enough, and that Britt’s life is at risk. When Lucas confronted Marco, I had a moment or two of concern because nothing good ever comes of arguing on Wyndemere’s parapets.
Luckily for Lucas, Marco panicked and quickly promised to drop his vendetta against Sonny. I don’t believe Marco for a second. I think he said what he needed to in order to keep Lucas from walking out. Marco would have promised Lucas the moon if Lucas had asked for it. I have no idea why Lucas believes Marco’s promises when he’d just caught Marco in such a massive lie, but he did and here we are.
Love will keep us together
When did Lucas become such a schmuck? Did he learn nothing from that disastrous marriage to Brad? Someone who can look you in the eye and lie to you day after day is not someone who truly loves you. It’s a betrayal. As they say, when someone shows you who they are, believe them.
The very fact that Marco blames Sonny for Natalia knocking back scotches and accidentally overdosing on pills shows us who Marco is. Vengeful, delusional, and borderline sociopathic. Natalia’s death is merely an excuse. Marco barely tolerated his mother and accused her of being messy and a drunk on more than one occasion. He went a long period of having absolutely nothing to do with her because of her homophobic views. He has loved her more in death than I ever saw when Natalia was alive.
Why is it so impossible for Marco to see that Natalia died by her own hand? The idea that Sonny would run away with Natalia and live out his life far away from his children and grandchildren is something that Natalia invented in her own crazy mind. For Marco to blame Sonny for not being there for Natalia at the end, when Marco wasn’t either, is beyond hypocritical. Marco ignored her calls and text messages that night too – and he was her son.
To the catacombs!
It won’t be long before Carly and Lucas team up and hit the catacombs to find out what Marco is hiding. The question is what will Marco do when he has to choose between Lucas and Sidwell? And he will because this is General Hospital. The only reason Sidwell and Cullum would be working on a cold fusion weapon is if they are planning world domination. That’s how these soap plots work.
If Marco does manage to escape this evil plot alive, his life will be in shambles, and he will likely be headed to jail.
The key to Chase’s ruin
Chase might land in the same boat as Marco because Chase is about to have his world turned upside down. It’s almost a certainty that his latest attempt to take Michael down will cost Chase his career, marriage, and possible freedom. As it should. Chase has been stubborn, blind, and completely wrong from the start. He doesn’t deserve to be a detective, and he certainly hasn’t shown a smidgen of fairness or loyalty to his family.
Shame! Shame!
I still don’t understand why Chase is so adamant that Willow could never shoot anyone. How many times has she lied to him over the years? Betrayed him?
This is the same woman who was in love with Michael, but married Chase out of pity and then stayed by his side because she was too afraid to be honest. A woman who kept her cancer a secret. Someone whom he’s caught on several occasions defying a court order and sneaking onto the Quartermaine property. Chase likes to point to Michael’s lies as proof of Michael’s guilt, but Willow lied too. She was on Drew’s street at the time of the shooting, and the gun was found in her bedroom.
Chase has been trying to prove Michael guilty rather than following the evidence, and now he will pay a price for that. I have no pity for him. If there was any doubt that things are about to go very badly for Chase, Brook Lynn’s sudden decision to adopt and immediately call Alexis to get the ball rolling sealed Chase’s fate.
It’s all about the key
Chase’s first mistake — besides not being objective — was taking Michael’s keys and going over to Drew’s Willow’s house. His second was in not asking the obvious. Why would Michael keep the key all these months? Instead, Chase put the bug in Nathan’s ear to check Michael’s keys then sat back and smugly watched as Michael handed the incriminating evidence over without hesitation.
It looks bad for Chase. He sat on the witness stand and admitted that he’d been secretly investigating Michael because Chase believed Michael had shot Drew. How reliable could that key have ever been when Chase had the means, motive, and opportunity to plant it on Michael’s keyring? Now, Chase’s cries of innocence will fall on deaf ears because Wiley witnessed Chase being shady with the keys. Out of the mouths of babes.
Willow is going to hate that her efforts to frame Michael were foiled by her son. Love it!
These boots are made for walking
Will this be the final straw for Brook Lynn? Chase might not be loyal to the Quartermaines, but Brook Lynn is. When someone goes after one of their own, they close ranks. As I said earlier, the writing is on the wall. Brook Lynn’s sudden change of heart about adoption was a bad omen.
I would love for Brook Lynn to be free of Chase. I’ve lost all respect for him, and he’s repeatedly put Willow’s interests ahead of Brook Lynn’s. Brook Lynn asked Chase on several occasions to drop the investigation. She warned him that it might cost him his job, but he continually ignored her. At some point, Brook Lynn is going to wonder why Chase is willing to risk everything for Willow.
Third time’s the charm
Sadly, Willow’s secrets are likely to remain buried a while longer. Chase will be fired and possibly given the boot by Brook Lynn for his shifty behavior, but I won’t be satisfied until he knows the truth about that little viper Willow.
Of course, it wouldn’t be General Hospital if there was a twist or two in the wings. Will Chase end up on Willow’s doorstep looking for a place to crash and learn the truth when he overhears another revealing confession to Drew? How far will Willow go to keep her secrets? Would she kill Chase? Third time might be the charm for Killow.
People love it when you lose
My first reaction when Sidwell approached Willow with the idea of taking Drew’s place in Congress was to laugh. How is she going to keep Drew drugged if she’s in Washington, D.C.? Then I realized that Drew spent very little time in Washington, D.C., so Willow is good. Willow would be a fool to agree, but that wouldn’t be very soapy of her.
The same is true for Alexis.
They love dirty laundry
Both Alexis and Willow have plenty of dirty laundry that they can’t afford to get out. Alexis embezzled money from Ace’s trust fund, and she not only covered up an attempted murder (when Kristina tampered Ric’s car brakes) but Alexis also kidnapped and held Ric hostage. And that’s just in 2025. Not to be outdone, Willow has attempted murder twice, she’s actively keeping Drew drugged and locked in his body, she messed around with baby Daisy, and she is trying to frame Michael for a crime that she committed.
Alexis is the better option of the two, but Willow has Nina who fancies herself a political guru when she’s not busy being a fashionista. What will Alexis do when she learns that her political opponent is the would-be killer that she just secured a not guilty verdict for? Will Alexis go to Willow and advise her blackmailing client to drop out because several people know Willow’s dirty little secret? Willow might not face charges because of double jeopardy, but I can’t imagine it would play well with voters that she got away with attempted murder.
Winners and losers
I really don’t care who ends up taking Drew’s seat, but I hope this election is a countdown to Willow’s comeuppance. Wiley and Amelia need to be far away from her until she faces justice and spends some time behind bars. I don’t even care if that jail is Shadybrook because Willow desperately needs therapy. Is she redeemable? She hasn’t killed anyone — yet. I don’t even blame her for shooting Drew. My issue has always been what she’s done to Michael and Daisy, and how she failed to protect her kids from Drew.
If Willow gets help, atones for her wrongs, and genuinely turns her life around, yes, she’s redeemable. But I’m going to need to see her downfall first.
A final goodbye
Now, let’s talk about Friday. It was a standalone episode and tribute to Anthony Geary and Luke Spencer. It was beautifully written with so many wonderful flashbacks of past decades.
The early flashbacks of Luke and Laura took me back to my childhood when I’d sit in the living with my mom, who’d take a break from her many duties, to watch General Hospital. I was supposed to quietly be doing my homework, but I was completely captivated by the adventures of Luke and Laura. Eventually, my mom just accepted that I loved General Hospital as much as she did. These days, she gets a kick out of being the one who introduced me to something that I’m still passionate about.
Days gone by
I recalled each and every one of the scenes they shared. Luke meeting Sonny, Luke and Tracy’s antics, and how Tracy had been shaken to her core when Luke had suffered those heart attacks. I remembered Luke, Laura and Lucky naming Lesley Lu, and that time Laura watched Luke with their daughter through a window. Like all the other record number of viewers, I was riveted when Luke and Laura married, and shocked when Scott tries to derail the wedding. I loved it all and went through quite a few tissues.
Friday’s tribute episode transported me to a time when things moved fast on General Hospital, and there were always exciting twists and turns. Maybe it was because spoilers weren’t as readily available as they are these days, but you never knew how things would go. Oh, you’d have your theories, but the writers would inevitably take things in a direction that you never saw coming. Luke and Laura’s storylines were often that way.
I cried as I listened to Laura talk about the impact that Luke had on her life. Through much of it, I heard Genie talking to Tony. It breaks my heart that we will never see him again except in flashbacks. He made such an incredible contribution to General Hospital and the soap genre as a whole.
Port Charles Potpourri
Some quick thoughts about other things going on in and around Port Charles.
I’ll take “Things we never saw” for $100
On the February 16, 2026 episode, Felicia told Maxie that Anna had Nathan’s coffin exhumed and it had been empty. Except, that’s the first that many of us had heard of it. There were a few who were certain it had happened, but no one was able to provide me with a date or episode for reference.
Welcome back, parapets. We missed you!
I was so glad to see the parapets make an appearance when Lucas tracked down Marco to confront Marco about his lies. I just wish Lucas had shoved Marco over them. Regardless, welcome back our beloved gloomy castle and treacherous cliffs.
Love means throwing hatchets
I found it hilarious that everyone headed to the “hatchet range” (as Molly called it) on Valentine’s Day. Nothing says “I love you” like getting liquored up and throwing axes.
Sending out an SOS
Drew has a secret weapon that I don’t think Willow considered. It dawned on me when I saw him blinking at Alexis that he does have a way to communicate. Drew is an ex-Navy SEAL, which means he knows Morse code. How long before someone figures out that they can chat with Drew in Morse code?
Hey there, Georgie girl
I’m seriously gobsmacked at how much Lily Fisher looks like Lindze Letherman (Georgie Jones). Are we sure General Hospital doesn’t have a secret lab somewhere in the studio where they are cloning actors? I swear, casting always does an incredible job when picking family members. Viron Weaver looks like he could be Chloe Lanier’s son, Alexa Havins Bruening and Julie Marie Berman (ex-Lulu Spencer) could be sisters, and both could easily pass for Genie Francis’ real life daughters.
What General Hospital Viewers Are Saying
We love reading what other fans have to say about the show, so please scroll down to the Comments section and share your thoughts. It’s at the bottom of this (and every) column.
Anna resurfaces
How did Anna get to France? Did they remember that they have the GH Transporter? Here’s a clue that everyone seemed to miss, if Anna was working for the WSB, why was she arrested in France and why didn’t the WSB know about it? Mac and Felicia should have picked up on that. — JDF
How did Anna get to France from Wyndemere’s Catacombs? Ah, the TARDIS!! Why do I think this detective Rousseau or whoever it is that they say they spoke to is actually Pascal? — Missez Premise
Wiley saves the day!

Laura offers Lulu some advice

As annoyed as I am with Chase, I hope he doesn’t die. Chase isn’t a malicious person and I know that good guy is still in there somewhere.
I don’t want him to die, but at the same time, this is a soap. I think the writers are setting him up — for what, I don’t know, but it feels big. Just how far is Willow willing to go to keep her secrets?
I could see Chase going either way. There’s no question he’s in a precarious position. With no family on the show anymore, he could be removed without affecting many other characters. But when Chase sees the light, he has proven himself to be a committed adversary. So there may be a chance for him to redeem himself.
I would prefer the latter if for no reason other than we’ve already had Drew turned unrecognizable and Willow diabolical. Do we really want to see another character go down? The couples issue on GH is also problematic–why do they keep spending so much time on certain pairings only to tear them down in short order?
And GH does not have a good recent history for characters post breakup. The worst example being killing Franco off so they could play musical pairings for a number of characters. Which gave us the dullsville Maxie-Austin and Elizabeth-Finn. I’m not sure I can think of one great couple that came out of a reshuffling. Maybe Sam and Dante, but we all know how that ended. Mostly we have a lot of characters who are single right now.
What did you think of Justine calling Michael cocky? I thought she was out of line since she doesn’t know Michael enough to make that judgement.
Yeah, that seemed a bit out of left field. Sometimes it feels as if Justine is trying to overcompensate because she has softened toward Sonny.
Liz, you are dead on about Marco. I was wishing that Lucas would have pointed all of that out to Marco.
Same. I think Lucas wants to believe Marco is being genuine, but deep down inside he knows that he isn’t.
Alexis replcing Drew in Congress is insane. Willow replacing Drew in Congress is even more insane so I guess that is what is going to happen. I wonder if Sidwell has some leverage over Willow since he is not someone who takes no for an answer.
Now that Willow has quit GH, where is she going to get the drugs to keep Drew catatonic? I assume that she has been stealing the drugs. If she has been buying them somewhere, that can be traced.
I just can’t see how they can move ahead with the Michael shot Drew story line. The viewers know it was Willow and there are too many people who know that Willow is guilty that can come forward. I also researched “attorney-client privilege”. If the defense attorney receives evidence of guilt from a third party , that evidence is not covered under attorney-client privilege. Only communication between Alexis and Willow is privileged. Alexis is not required by law to turn over the evidence but she can since it is not “privileged’ information.
Nathan should have been suspicious the minute Chase presented him with his key theory. Actually, isn’t it strange that Chase never thought of a key when he was doing his off the books investigation? He had to see Michaels’ key chain before he thought of it? Chase is carrying around his own keys every day. You would think that might have turned on the dim light bulb in his head. At least Nathan said that they have no way of knowing when or where Michael got the key. Drew was shot six months ago. Tracy had no reason to have the key made until Drew stole her heirlooms which was months later and that key can be traced by it’s serial number.
Did they really need the forensics lab to confirm that the key fits the lock on Drews house? Anybody can try putting keys into a lock. Forensics should be tracing that key.
Chase to Tracy: “Willow didn’t shoot Drew, Michael did!! Did he sound like a seven year old or what?
I’m thinking of an interesting plot twist with this key story. Now that the PCPD knows that Chase had Michael’s keys in his possession Chase could be implicated or charged with planting evidence to frame Michael.
Chase would have to clear himself and it is likely that he would again conduct his own investigation as to how the key wound up on Micahels key chain. That would lead him to Willow. Wouldn’t it be great if Chases’ own investigation proves Willow’s guilt? I can just see the look on his face when he finds out. He can’t contradict his own evidence.
As we’ve seen repeatedly, Alexis knows how to work around legal issues if she wants to. If Michael is charged, Alexis can find a way to let the police know that they had the right shooter the first time. Too many people know, including Drew who is not bound by spousal privilege since he’s the victim.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who feels so passionately about Maxie and Nathan. These two were a power couple and I remember being so upset when Nathan died. I’ve been waiting for him to come back for years and now that he has I feel like we’re being robbed of a proper Naxie reunion because of Lulu, which is crazy to me because these two are supposed to be like sisters!
Dear Liz – Applause! Applause! Your column is spot on!
Your line “If it turns out that Nathan isn’t Nathan, I want Maxie to take him down. This is her story, not Lulu’s.” speaks volumes to the writers and PTB: It is easy to get caught up in all the machinations going on but at the heart of the storylines, key characters remain the defined victim: MIchael over Willow, Maxie over everyone else.
I must hand it to the writiers on the creation of another (huge) Umbrella Story that is Jenz Sidwell. I thought they had topped themselves with Cyrus Renault, but Jenz is the gift that keeps on giving. Every StoryLine is linked to Jenz. We used to say that about Sonny, but I digress. The problem going forward – what happens when Jenz is defeated? What are the new storylines going forward? We have nothing so far except for the teens and Willow shooting Drew being concluded.
The tribute show for AG was spot on – centering it around Lulu gaining closure was a good idea. I would love to see a dive bar named “Luke’s” appear in the future with Coleman as the manager – maybe one day in PC……
Doesn’t ANYBODY remember that after he was shot Drew had the locks to his house changed? He told Willow on the October 8, 2025 episode. Watch it. He and Willow were in his hospital room and he asked her to move back in when he was released. She tried to get out of it by saying she didn’t think it would be safe there. He flat out said not to worry because he amped up security and changed the locks! Therefore, the key on Michael’s keychain would NOT have opened the door on the night Drew was shot. It only opens the NEW lock. How dumb are the PCPD?
Good catch Sfan. I did not remember that.
They can trace “the key” back to Tracy who had it made. Drew changed the locks after the shooting and Willow is not the only one who knows that. Kai still works for Drew , so Kai would have been given a new key for the new locks and he would know that the key Michael has is for the new lock and not the old lock. Kai could clear Michael without incriminating himself or Trina, or admitting that they were in the house the night Drew was shot. So Willow slipped up… big time.
I don’t expect it to get this far. I think it’s going to stop at what looks like Chase tampering with Michael’s keys. With the fortunate result of ending the investigation of Michael before it goes anywhere.
OMG! You are right! Excellent point about the locks.
Hey Liz! Thanks for the Shout Out!!
Greetings from a Pending Snowstorm!
Where was I when Anna had Nathan’s body exhumed as Fleas told Maxi?
And they discovered there was no one in the casket? I sure don’t remember that.
Then again they can have any grave in that Port Charles Cemetery exhumed and the caskets will probably be empty.
Exactly why is Dante still living at the Quartermaine’s? I know it was originally for the kids but how many of his kids actually live there right now? None? Okay.
You know, why are they making Chase be such an idiot?
I swear to God he’s going to get himself fired and I hope he does.
Maybe he can become a Park Ranger or something. He thinks he’s Dudley Freaking Do Right.
And then NotNathan believing him about the stupid freaking key that Willow put on Mikey’s keychain,
Mikey didn’t even notice there’s an extra key on his keychain?
I would notice.
I would be like what the heck is this?
Why would Willow resign her Nursing position at GH?
Where’s she going to get Drew’s Drugs?
Ah, Sidwell!

I like the Crimson Colored Glassware that Ninny and Wallow were sipping Whatever from during their conversation about Wallow’s Potential Congressional Takeover.
This whole thing is becoming more ridiculous than Real Life Politics!
Sure, Alexis can take EwDrew’s Congressional Spot.
She’s got plenty of Experience!
Her Primary Offenses (in No Particular Order) include stabbing Dante Falconeri (2021), killing Luis Alcazar (2007), disposing of a gun that Kristina stole to Kill Ava (2024), and potential Obstruction of Justice.
Plus, she was Disbarred a few times, committed Perjury, ran down and killed her Daughter’s Abusive Boyfriend (2010), held Slic Ric Hostage with Ava’s help for a Month (2025)…
Alexis is Perfect for the Job!!
~~~
This whole thing with the Keys on Mikey’s Keyring is giving me Agita.
Turner KNOWS he’s not the shooter.
Chase kept insisting on Mikey’s Keys, isn’t that suspicious?
If I were NotNathan and Dante, I would think that Chase planted the key.
But we know Willow did.
Oh, Yay!! Wiley remembered that Chase had Mikey’s keys!
Speak Up, kiddo!!!
I really hope Chase gets snagged and Fired and jailed everything else he deserves for being such a Stupid Vindictive Idiot.
The Luke Tribute Thing was nice, but where was Lucky??
Still Finding himself in Ireland?
I couldn’t help but notice that during the “Luke and Laura Wedding” Flashbacks that Laura looked rather worried as Luke was saying her vows.
Just saying.
I loved the Tracy (Spanky/Sparky) Flashbacks the best!!
I noticed that crimson colored glassware too and loved it. 🙂
I don’t know if Willow has stockpiled the drugs or not, but I don’t think she’d risk going to Sidwell for them. More likely than not, she’ll visit GH periodically and steal them.
If Willow stockpiled the drugs, where did she get them? We all assume it was from GH. But the hospital inventories their drugs regularly and surely they would notice a large quantity missing. I don’t know if this is another hole in the writing or another misstep on Willows’ part that the writers can use later. The number of ways that they can bring down Willow is growing and seems inevitable.
Thanks for another great column, Liz.
My mind also went to Morse Code when DrEEEWW was blinking away like a fault LED.
And I agree with Missez Premise that Willow will get the locked in drugs from Sidwell. I kind of wondered if that wasn’t where she got them to start with. Sidwell talked about how DrEEEWW was becoming a liability; so helping Willow and then making her his new puppet would be a two-birds-one-stone opportunity.
Was I the only one who thoughts Nathan looked a little panicky for a split second when Liesl told him Maxie was awake? Hopefully now that she’s back they’ll finally make some movement on Nathan’s missing years. My personal guess is that he IS Nathan but has been brain mapped – not sure if it would be Faison or Heinrich – and the car wreck that brought him back to town was tied to an internal mirror-has-two-faces persona struggle.
Thank you!
I’m constantly on the fence about Nathan. Every time I start believing it’s him, he does something that makes me question it. The mix up with broken chain of custody with evidence a few weeks ago, that story he told Lulu about being forced to memorize the periodic table, and his reaction to Dante suggesting that Nathan had been quietly investigating his own disappearance.
And yes, even his reaction to finding out Maxie is awake. Was he worried because of the Lulu stuff — or will Maxie ferret out the truth.
I haven’t forgotten that Maxie was intentionally poisoned.
I would also like to say how disappointed I am in Dante that he is so willing to help put his brother in prison again.
When all of this over, I want Michael to sit his entire family down and tell them that they are all POS.
I would be so incredibly hurt if everyone in my family thought the worst of me.
Dante is overcompensating. Someone needs to explain to him that avoiding bias doesn’t mean thinking the person you can’t evaluate objectively is guilty. It means your judgement can’t be trusted one way or the other.
I was surprised that Alexis didn’t remember how Harmony communicated with Ryan when he was pretending to be locked in. I thought that if anyone could figure out that Drew is trying to communicate, it’s her.
Oooh!! Excellent point!!!
Oh how I miss the days when we did not know or care who represented Port Charles in congress! I hate the idea of taking Alexis out of the courtroom where she really shines (it took so long to get her back there!) And would also love some juicy Diane courtroom scenes, as soon as Carolyn is ready to be back more, I miss her!
I also am fully and completely in the Maxie and Spinelli 4ever camp – they are NOT just friends with benefits who happen to be married. There is real and rich romantic history to this couple and I definitely want them to end up together after whatever Nathan drama that’s obviously headed our way 🙂
Maxie and Spinelli aren’t married. But neither are Maxie and Nathan.
Oh right, I forgot that they aren’t married! Thanks for the correction, still love them:-)
Willow would probably use the threat of Scout and the restraining order again to get Alexis to back down from her bid for Drew’s Congress seat.
Honestly, I’m kind of confused here. Laura made it seem like it’s the governor’s choice to appoint the interim Congress person, but he just wanted Laura’s recommendation to consider for Drew’s replacement for the remaining year that Drew has left in his term. When Sidwell suggested Willow take over, I’m assuming he means as an option to put towards the governor, as it would still be his decision. The spouse doesn’t just automatically take over unless the governor okays it, right? I don’t know much about politics and even less about U.S. politics, so who knows.
I think each state has its own rules about replacing congresspeople; but typically, the governor does name the replacement until the next election or a special election if he/she decides to call for one. I’m not sure why Sidwell thinks he or Willow should decide, but there are real life examples of spouses filling empty seats. Whether they had as few qualifications as Willow, I’m not sure. They at least had more time as political spouse than she does.
The idea of Alexis as a replacement is just as ridiculous considering the number of people she’s killed and/or run over with her car. Though she is lawyer and held public office as district attorney. A long, long time ago.
Liz, I’m so glad I’m not the only one who feels so passionately about Maxie and Nathan. These two were a power couple and I remember being so upset when Nathan died. I’ve been waiting for him to come back for years and now that he has I feel like we’re being robbed of a proper Naxie reunion because of Lulu, which is crazy to me because these two are supposed to be like sisters! I definitely don’t like the direction this is headed. I hope the writers have something powerful for Maxie planned, she deserves a heroine story line!
