It looks like May will usher in a cruel summer as several storylines heat up. Will Elizabeth be the key to Willow’s undoing and Drew’s salvation? How far will Cassius go to protect his secrets? Would he kill Josslyn? Big things are happening, so let’s get into it with an enlightening new General Hospital commentary for the week ending May 01, 2026.
General Hospital appears to be kicking off May Sweeps with some interesting twists and turns that are sure to make for a soapy summer. Jack knows that Carly has another man in her life, Britt dropped a bombshell on Cassius about Josslyn, and then there was all that blinking at Drew’s house which caught Elizabeth’s attention. Let’s start there.
And Then a Hero(ine) Comes Along
Our intrepid scribes were busy moving all the little chess pieces into place this week. It felt like a turning point for many, including Drew who has been a prisoner in his own body — and wheelchair — for months thanks to Willow and her trusty syringe. Elizabeth paid Drew a surprise visit and quickly picked up on his plea for help. Unfortunately, Liz didn’t realize that Drew is in actual danger, so she inadvertently tipped off his captors caretakers that Drew was trying to communicate. Nina panicked, babbled, tried to downplay things, and did everything except reassure Liz.
Fortunately for Drew, Elizabeth isn’t easily dissuaded. She wasted no time in broaching the subject with Willow at General Hospital. Liz urged Willow to look into getting Drew an eye tracking device to help him, but Willow was having none of it.
The Wrong Message
According to Willow, she had looked into it – twice – but ultimately decided against getting Drew help. Willow explained that she didn’t want to send Drew “the wrong message.” Yeah, she actually said that, and more. “I know Drew. His goal is 100-percent recovery, nothing less. An eye tracking device …he would take that as me not believing in him,” Willow went on to say. Willow insisted that she couldn’t “crush Drew’s spirit” like that because he was such a proud man.
The side eye that Elizabeth gave Willow spoke volumes. If only Willow had listened. Liz knows something is off. What loving wife would deny her husband the ability to communicate? I can’t tell you how much I love the idea of Willow being brought down by her bestie – and only friend – Liz. I know Liz. She won’t let this go. At some point Liz is going to find a way to have a little chat with Drew, even if she has to learn Morse code.
A Scandalous Summer Affair
Trouble is brewing on several fronts for Willow. Not only is Elizabeth growing suspicious, and both Kai and Trina know that Willow shot Drew, but now Michael is conspiring against his duplicitous ex-wife. What’s a girl to do? Willow opted to align herself with an enabling mother who can’t seem to appreciate just how dangerous Willow actually is. It’s a recipe for disaster.
On the bright side, we might get a two-for-one payoff. When Willow’s house of cards collapses — and it will — Nina will be carted off to jail right along with her daughter. Even if Willow’s crazy plan to get incriminating evidence against Drew to use for blackmail succeeds, she won’t be able to keep others from talking. Too many know the truth about Willow’s crimes.
Willow’s Champion
This week, Chase showed up at Willow’s office with a huge bouquet of her favorite flowers to thank the congresswoman for her help with getting Phoebe placed with Chase and Brook Lynn. Willow did nothing, but he was grateful for her willingness to help. Did he thank Michael for suggesting it? Nope. Chase insists that Michael was never good enough for saintly Willow. Chase is such a sanctimonious jerk.
Michael realized that he could use Chase’s infatuation with Willow to his advantage. He intends to fan the flames of the spark that is already there. Michael hopes that by exposing Willow as an unfaithful wife, cheating on her tragically stricken husband with the cop who defended her, will not only tarnish her image, but create enough of a scandal that it would hurt her in court if she should try to sue Michael for custody of the children. A threat that Willow recently made after a confrontation with Jacinda.
But What About Brook Lynn?
I don’t have any issues with Michael’s plan. Carly asked how Michael justified hurting Brook Lynn, having gone through something similar when Michael caught Willow stepping out with Drew. “As awful as that was, I’m better off now because I know the truth.” Michael told his mother. He conceded that he had never really known who Willow was. Not really. “Just like Brook Lynn doesn’t really know who Chase is.”
Michael was spot on when he told Carly that Chase was someone who was thoroughly convinced of his own moral superiority. Michael was careful to assure Carly that he wouldn’t force Chase to cheat on Brook Lynn, but he would “construct circumstances that were favorable to an affair.” If Chase cheats, that’s on him. I wholeheartedly agree with that.
A Black Heart
I loved what Michael said about Willow too. He pointed out that she was alone right now, and Willow doesn’t do well when she is alone. “She needs someone with her. Someone to reinforce her belief in herself,” Michael said. He’s right. “And Willow desperately wants to be the person that Chase thinks she is.” I see that too.
Willow’s heart is black, and I really detest the idea of her being around sweet Wiley and Amelia. I don’t care what it takes. It’s time for Willow to pay for all of her crimes. If that means Chase loses everything and hits rock bottom for it to happen, so be it. Brook Lynn is better off without him anyway.
A Fall from Grace
It’s obvious where General Hospital’s writers are headed with Chase. He’s currently sitting on top of the world with a loving wife, a new baby, a career that he managed to hold onto by the skin of his teeth, and he’s got an unshakable belief in his keen instincts. It’s a perfect set up for a spectacular downfall. Pass the popcorn please. I’m so down for this.
For months, Chase has put Willow ahead of his own wife and career. It happened time and again despite the evidence against Willow. The gun, her lies, the video footage of Willow at the scene of the crime – which mysteriously vanished during the trial– were all dismissed by Chase simply because he couldn’t fathom Willow doing anything like that. But Chase didn’t stop there. He went a step further and accused Michael of Willow’s crimes. Chase went to great lengths to try and get the crime pinned on Michael too.
A Happy Homelife?
I think Chase has been unhappy for a long time. His father died, his brother and niece moved away, God knows what happened to Jackie Templeton, and then he learned that he could not father children. It was a lot. Then along came Gio, his wife and best friend’s secret love child. It was too much, and it seemed to me that was when things shifted for Chase. Suddenly, he was in Willow’s orbit. There are no coincidences on General Hospital. I knew there was a reason for it.
Now, trouble is brewing, and Chase’s marriage will be tested once again. I can’t see Brook Lynn keeping the secret about the night of Jordan’s accident from Chase for long. Brook Lynn has a terrible poker face and a guilty conscience. On top of that, Dante is looking for the driver of the other car, which means she might soon end up in the hot seat.
Will Chase tamper with evidence to protect his wife? If that happens, will he resent Brook Lynn for putting him in that position and go cry on Willow’s shoulder – and in her bed?
From The Frying Pan Into The Fire
The irony is that Brook Lynn at her worst can’t hold a candle to Willow’s messiness. Willow is diabolical. Brook Lynn makes poor choices, but she would never try to take someone’s life. She certainly wouldn’t inject anyone with a paralytic and play with her victim like a cat does a mouse before it devours it. Chase is in for a rude awakening, and it can’t get her fast enough as far as I’m concerned.
I Spy Trouble
General Hospital’s resident junior spy has landed in a heap of trouble. This week, Josslyn seemed to be everywhere, not-so-subtly asking questions about “Nathan’s” mysterious return and relationship with Faison. It put everyone on alert, except Cassius who saw Josslyn as a harmless “ditzy” college student. Britt was forced to put her brother on notice. She warned him that Josslyn was a WSB agent working for Jack.
Cassius realized that Josslyn could blow his cover, so off to Josslyn’s apartment he went. Friday’s show ended with Cassius warning Josslyn that it was too late to leave as he grabbed her arm to keep her from going to the door. Wouldn’t you know it, Josslyn left her duffle bag filled with weapons and ammo stashed in another room.
What Will Cassius Do?
I don’t think General Hospital has any plans to kill off Josslyn. That would be cruel to do to Carly. She lost Morgan to a madwoman’s evil plot, so I don’t want to see her lose another child to a madman. It would also mean that Cassius is beyond any hope for redemption, and I’m not sure I want that. He might not be as good as Nathan was, but I suspect he’s not as bad as Peter.
My best guess (I try to avoid spoilers) is that Cassius will kidnap Josslyn and stash her in a secret location. If he takes Josslyn to the catacombs on Spoon Island, Pascal will recognize Josslyn from the Five Poppies. Britt mentioned that Josslyn was at the resort, so Cassius would know that he would be signing Josslyn’s death warrant if he takes her to Wyndemere.
The Beginning of The End?
It finally feels like we’ve reached the beginning of the end for Sidwell’s reign in Port Charles. Britt keeps mentioning that they are very close to completing the cold fusion project, and now Cassius is on a WSB agent’s radar. An agent who made sure to throw her own mom under the bus earlier. People are going to be looking for Josslyn, starting with Carly.
Your Cheatin’ Heart
For the life of me, I couldn’t understand why Josslyn would betray her mother the way that Josslyn did Carly by telling Jack that Carly was seeing someone else. There was absolutely no benefit to telling him that other than to hurt Jack.
That was dirty. Carly didn’t deserve it, and it was pretty short-sighted. Did it ever occur to Josslyn that she might be putting both her mother and Valentin in danger if Jack caught them together?
The Spy Who Shagged Me
Jack has no room to act like Carly owes him anything. Not only did he recruit her daughter under her nose, but he has been lying to Carly for months. He also conspired with Nina to get rid of incriminating evidence against Willow, which made everyone suspicious of Carly’s eldest child. Jack has been a terrible boyfriend, who repeatedly betrayed Carly at every turn.
It was not cool how Jack broke into Carly’s house and stormed up to her bedroom when he saw the two glasses of wine. They aren’t married. He doesn’t live there. Come Monday, I really hope Carly tosses Jack out and tells him not to come back. It’s not like Carly has kept it a secret that she’s been struggling with their relationship because of the lies she’s caught Jack in already. Carly has been slipping away for months, and Jack knows it.
Free Valentin
It’s time for Valentin to stop hiding in Carly’s attic. I want him and Carly to enjoy an evening without Valentin having to duck out because Carly’s place has turned into Grand Central Station. Let Valentin earn his get-out-of-jail-free card. Maybe Valentin can clean up Jack’s mess and rescue Josslyn from the enemy’s clutches.
Port Charles Potpourri
Some quick thoughts about other things going on in and around Port Charles.
Rosen Up Your Bow
Can we please give Gio his violin back? I want Gio to forgive and move past his resistance to play the violin. He’s only punishing himself. It’s time for him to pick up the instrument he loves so much and play. His solos are missed.
You’re So Vain
I’m so deeply disappointed in Jordan. She always struck me as a badass, not this shallow crybaby who thinks a scar will somehow hold her back. Why has no one reached out to Michael for help?
A Wildcard
So, reading between the lines, I’m starting to suspect that Isaiah might have come across Curtis and Jordan’s accident, but left the scene without rendering aid. Was it because he had helped Rocco? Perhaps if Brook Lynn had looked in the rearview mirror, she might have seen a third car on the road. The plot thickens.
O Brother
I couldn’t help but chuckle when Nina was waxing poetic about “Jay” and how well she knows him. Wait until she finds out that Cassius has been fooling her for months. These days, Nina couldn’t catch a clue if it fell out of the sky and landed in her hands.

Willow’s priorities
I’m so done with Willow using her kids to justify her behavior. It’s pathetic and cowardly. Willow needs to take responsibility for her own actions. — Ryan
I quite enjoyed Jacinda standing up to Willow and giving as good as she got and maybe even a little better.
Willow was definitely jealous of Wileys’ relationship with Jacinda. It was another moment where we see that
Willows top priority is herself, not her kids. — JDF
Does Liesl know — or suspect — that Cassius is posing as Nathan?

Another great post. I will add that it’s not like Brooklyn has shown much loyalty to Michael lately. A couple of months ago, she told Chase it was “chilling” how Michael kept the kids from Willow and conveniently ignored everything Willow had done to him prior to that.
Good point. So many in Port Charles owe Michael an apology.
Brooklyn is not alone in underestimating how wacko Willow is. I have this life opinion that goes like this: if there’s a problem with one person, that’s on the person. If there’s a problem with a lot of people, there’s something bigger going on. It’s an interesting question as to why so many people are misjudging both Willow and Michael. They’re not real people so you can always blame the writing. But aside from that, I think it’s mostly that people can’t grasp how Willow can go from doting mother to homicidal nutcase. With an additional bit of confusion because Michael seems (understandably) harder since he came back from Germany.
Anyway, my point would be Brooklyn may have some erroneous ideas, but she’s doing exactly what you should when there’s drama that’s not about you–staying out of it. As opposed to Chase. As opposed to Elizabeth who lined up nurses as character witnesses for Willow’s custody case and testified in court that Willow was a “good mother” and “good person”.
One more point about Brooklyn: she got her throat slit when she caught Nelle in mid-plot to kidnap Wylie. She risked further vocal chord damage to inform Michael how he could use the tracking app on Nelle’s phone to find her and Wylie. If not for Brooklyn, Wylie and Nelle could very well be living incognito wherever Nelle intended to take off to. Michael has been a good cousin to Brooklyn, but he has not done anything that comes close to paying off that debt. Perhaps he should think of that when he schemes to, not just torpedo Brooklyn’s marriage, but do it in a way that would inherently involve highly public humiliation and could affect Brooklyn’s ability to adopt Phoebe.
Nina saying that Josslyn was “insane” and “unhinged” was such a joke. Those words should never come out of Nina’s mouth unless she is talking about herself and/or her family.
I don’t believe Joss betrayed Carly. As angry as Joss is with Carly it is based on the fear her mother will get caught and thrown in prison for harboring an international criminal or worse, get killed. It makes no sense that Joss would deliberately set up her own mother to be caught by Jack because she is well aware of the danger it would cause Carly. No, I think when Joss went to see Valentin in the attic while Carly was gone, they came up with this plan to bring down Jack. When Carly and Valentin had just gotten into bed Carly told Valentin she was scared, not because they were going to sleep together but because she knew Jack would probably be there soon. We don’t know where Valentin went but we know Joss was probably on her way there when she told Cassius she had to ‘go on her run.’ She had packed her bag with guns and ammo and had already told Trina she couldn’t go to the Savoy because she had something important to do. We all know that wasn’t studying! Joss knew what was going down at her mother’s house and now Cassius has screwed up those plans. Can’t wait until Monday.
I would believe it was out of concern if Joss had gone to Carly’s to tell her what she did. Instead, Joss went home and got her guns. Now, look at where things stand.
You are probably correct in that Joss did NOT tell Carly what she did. I just read an article in which Laura Wright and Chris McKenna discuss their confrontation. Looks like I am completely wrong because Laura said she didn’t know Jack would be there. If Joss had warned Carly about telling Jack she was cheating on him or if Valentin and Joss had come up with this plan, I’d think Valentin would have filled Carly in on it. Obviously not. I must say I am very disappointed in Joss betraying her mother like this.
I can’t figure out if Brooklyn knows that she was the other driver in Jordans’ accident or if she just thinks that she was the other driver. All the focus has been on Brooklyn and now Isaiah while conveniently forgetting
Charlotte and Danny. If you think about it, Val showed up to help Charlotte and wound up helping Curtis so those two cars were in the same vicinity.
The show mentioned which mile markers Curtis and Charlotte were at and they were close, but not identical (maybe 5 miles apart.) How is it possible that NO CARS drove by who could have stopped to help Curtis and Jordan? Curtis has guessed they were stuck there for close to an hour. Only Curtis/Jordan, Charlotte, Isaiah and Brooklyn drove that road in an hour? No likely.
It was so gratifying seeing Dante put Josslyn in her place and she can’t seem to understand how he could see through her which is funny in itself. Joss is a walking, talking, disaster that gets bigger by the day. She is also the most insubordinate employee ever! Why Brennan just doesn’t fire her is a mystery.
I don’t know how others feel but I’m getting downright angry with this Jordan/Curtis accident story and how Curtis is desperately trying to make it someone elses fault. Even Jordan is now lamenting about how they could have gotten help sooner. They got help pretty quickly and if Curtis hadn’t wasted time trying to open the drivers side door instead of just pulling her out through the passenger side he could have gotten her away from the car even sooner.
When Jordan had the flashback of the accident, I realized that it was Curtis’ fault. He initiated the kiss when Jordan was driving.
Odd that Sidwell has not checked on Jordan even once since she’s been hospitalized.
It is long past due that Valentin move out of Carlys’ house. What hss he accomplished by staying in the attic except for having a fling with Carly?
I don’t find Joss a disaster as a spy , but she is now compromised due to Britt, not Cassius’s actions. Why did Britt out her? Jason’s god daughter so to speak, beloved daughter of Carly, and Britt just signed Joss’s death warrant for no good reason other than spite.
Joss is the only LEO who has been looking at the big picture, started with what does not add up and has begun to put the pieces together. She has out thought Cullum, Jack, Valentin and Dante. Thanks to Britt’s betrayal, Joss IS now in trouble.
I FF through every Jordan/Curtis car scene. The worst story in history on GH.
Cassius is acting very unlike Nathan recently, especially with Lulu regarding Rocco. Maybe our investigative
“journalist” will catch on.
Happy May!
Is it me, or is GH Finally On Fire again?
It seems that a Few of us are digging Ryan Paevey as DarkNathan/Cashew.
DarkNathan/Cashew is kinda like Original Recipe Nathan minus The Hallmark Channel.
Much Better.
Next, on “Tool Time!”
Could Agent Barbie be any more Obnoxious?
After her Line of Questioning, I’m surprised Frau Blücher didn’t backhand Joss into Next Week.
Geez.
Then she runs to Dante.
Dante’s like, “Duh, Joss, I’ve known you were a Stupid Agent with the WSB since before your Last Boyfriend got ‘Disappeared’.”
Joss really has had some Rotten Luck with Boyfriends.
No wonder she’s such a Tool.
I’m wondering just what Liesl *does* know about NotNathan/Cashew.

Anyone notice how Loosey entered Sonny’s “Office”?
“Yoo Hoo!!” ::Barges In::, all the while Rubbing her Maniacally Flapping Hands together like a Housefly?
I have no recollection of her conversation with Sonny and Ethan, because whenever LooseLips starts Yammering, I Tune Her Out.

(Val)Carly’s jealous of Our Attic Boyfriend’s Devotion to Anna.
I like “ValCarly”.
I’m Long Done with “Vanna”.
I don’t even like Mash-Up Names.
But anyway.
Carly, your Daughter is an Idiot.
Just Saying.
And yeah, Val probably shouldn’t have called France.

Boy, Liz is just Everywhere, isn’t she?
Yeah, Britt shouldn’t be Roughhousing Rocco in the GH Hallways. It just gives Liz another thing to be High and Mighty about.
I hope Britt ends up telling Liz what’s really going on.
But would Liz Rat Rocco out to Dante?
Most Likely.
~~~
Speaking of Rats.
Curtis.
He used to be a Pretty Cool Dude, now he’s an Insecure, Narcissistic Tool.
Digging in the Police Files, trying to blame Gannon for the fact that he was Swapping Spit with Jordan while she was driving?
Whose Fault is that, Curtis??
Yours, You Tool.
Good Grief, he even runs to Mayor Laura looking for her support in Throwing Gannon Under The Bus.
Laura’s right about one thing: Curtis *wants* Gannon to be responsible for the accident.
Cuz Curtis always wants to Blame Someone Else.
Hey! Baby Pebbles look like Karl Malden again!!
I totally agree with what Mikey was saying to Carly.
Willow and Chase Will Bump Uglies in the Near Future.
I Predict, as does Pretty Much Everyone who’s been watching.
So is Agent Barbie TRYING to get her Mother killed?
She breaks into Droopy Dawg’s room to tell him that his Lady Friend (Carly) is Bumping Uglies with Another?
Nice.
So Droopy Dawg goes to Sonny, like Sonny’s gonna give a Rat’s Bottom.
Ridiculous as the Story Lines are, I’m really enjoying this week’s episodes.
Love all the Liesl Scenes, and Kelly T’s Knocking it Out of the Ballpark again.
Ten years ago I couldn’t stand Britt.
Now I love her.
Go Figure.
I love the way Britt spilled Agent Barbie’s Tea to Cashew.
Jordan’s Burn Scars are interesting.
Pretty good job by Make-Up.
Those Burns look like they will heal well, and there’s great makeup on the market.
I maintain the Jagged Scars will look Fierce.
She should keep them. Put Diamond Studs at the Corners.
And Stop the Pity Party.
You know, Val & Carly waste a LOT of Food!!
I mean, that was Nice Choreography there between Carly’s Kitchen Conniption and Val’s Attic Dance.
Break dishes, fine, but DON’T waste Good Food!!
Well the Scenes at the Savoy were a Nice Nap.
I did like Emma’s Dress, though.
This Nonsense about Trina’s Singing being so fabulous was Lame.
Sure, but can she do Phantom of the Opera?
Trina: “I just never thought of, you know, Singing as a Career!”
Curtis needs to Get a Grip.
He thinks if the Other Driver had stopped, Jordan wouldn’t be scarred?
Curtis is the Idiot who couldn’t figure out how to pull Jordan out the Passenger side of the car, which was clear.
He had to do a Stupid Man Thing and insist on pulling her out the Drivers Side, which was jammed.
And it was when Val mysteriously appeared that they finally got Jordan out.
Duh.
Funny, Curtis doesn’t seem to remember Val being there at all.
Speaking of Val, Carly never looked so Intense when she was Knocking Knickers with Droopy Dawg!
And Droopy Dawg looked rather confused at the amount of clothing that was piled at the end of Carly’s Bed.
Time for Val to Jump Naked out of Carly’s Bathroom Window?
This car accident storyline is so boring I can’t stand it. They have sooooo many characters bogged down in it, and it’s like watching paint dry.
And how they have written Joss for the past several months is such a disservice to both us and poor Eden MCoy, a very talented actress who is now forced to play this ludicrous farce of a character who is nothing but arrogance and recklessness topped off with incompetence, who is light years away from the smart, loyal person she was before. We’re supposed to believe that through her life experience so far (which in so many ways has been no picnic) she’s just gotten dumber and more immature? And that her obvious move would be to send Jack after Carly? Please, showrunners, just stop it.
I think that Chase is going to find out that Brook Lynn was the driver of the other car in Jordan’s accident. He will then use the excuse of her not telling him and thinking what she did was wrong to be pushed closer into Willow’s arms.
While Friday’s episode may have made it seem like Cassius is going to do something bad to Jocelyn, I think that was a fake out. I think it’s more likely that he will just say that it’s too late at night for her to be running safely alone, and offer to go running with her. Or he could play up on the fact that Nina believed Josslyn might have a crush on him, and pretend that he might like her, despite the fact that he’s dating Lulu. I was actually surprised that Britt told him Jocelyn is an agent, considering the fact she promised that she would never let Callum find out. She has no reason to believe that Cassius wouldn’t tell Callum despite her asking him not to.
Brennan only made Josslyn a sleeper agent because she was no longer needed at the school, and he didn’t want Callum to find out that she’s an agent. However, there are even more reasons why she should not be an active agent. She’s clearly terrible at her job and needs more training. She sucks at following orders, always going off and doing her own thing. She asks way too many questions that a normal person would not ask, making her very suspicious to all the wrong people. She even reveals to her boss that her mom is having an affair, just because she doesn’t like him and the fact that he keeps pointing out that she’s not following his orders. How does she think that Brennan’s going to react when he finds out the truth? He’s just going to break up with her mom and not do anything to her? I wouldn’t be surprised if when all of this wraps up, Carly gets what she wants, not because they find a way to pull her out of the WSB, but because Josslyn gets lucky and instead of terminating her, they just let her go because she was never worth being an agent in the first place and she doesn’t know enough to be a threat to their organization.
I have a feeling that by the time the Nurse’s Ball rolls around, Gio will be open to playing the violin again.
I don’t think that Isaiah had any connection to Jordan’s accident. I think they initially wanted us to believe it was either him or Brook Lynn, until they revealed it was Brook Lynn. As much as I don’t like Isaiah, I think it’s unlikely that he wouldn’t at least stop to help, or at least call an ambulance. His only connection to the storyline is that they wanted him to be a scapegoat for the other driver, to cause more conflict between him and Curtis and Portia.
Appreciate your column and viewpoint as always.
I totally agree that Josslyn’s reveal of Carly’s other man to Brennan made no sense for Joss as a character or in the specific scenario.
In the case of both of the big bean-spilling scenes of the week (Joss and Jack; Britt and Cassius), the pronouncement felt very out of the blue and out of character.
With both I had the impression the writers needed those reveals to move plots forward but could not be bothered to stop and think of decent motivation for the secret-telling to occur.
As for the car wreck, I agree it’s a fairly dull story. I hope that when Jordan gets her bandages off it’s not one of those situations where the scars underneath are somehow much larger/cover more of the face than the bandage did. I feel like that’s been an issue in the past (maybe with Ava and the fire or Spencer way back with his phantom of the opera mask).
As far as the identity of the other driver, I think Brook Lynn will confess but that it will ultimately be discovered that the other car was the one with Charlotte and Danny in it. Focusing attention on Isaiah and Brook Lynn feels like intentional misdirection.
Hopefully whatever the resolution, it will come quickly. The story already feels too dragged out.
I have many conflicting opinions on Michael’s plan re: Chase and Willow. On the one hand, I can’t say I blame him as he’s in a pressing situation and Chase has been an ass to him. But I’m not crazy about the ethics.
More to the point, it seems like a silly plan. Willow is already an established cheater–even cheating on another disabled husband. Is adding another affair to her list really going to make much difference. Hey Michael, you know what gets people kicked out of Congress? If they have an affair with STAFF! I’m not implying Michael should try to push her towards Kai because, well, ick. Surely Willow has other staff members though. Or Michael could pay someone to get a job with her and seduce her.
Plus Michael has other options. He has had enough positive conversations with Kai that maybe he could recruit Kai to look for different kinds of dirt on Willow. Like he did with Dex and Sonny. Spying Kai would be complicated by the fact that Willow is going to be guarded against him because she knows Kai knows she shot Drew. But if Kai has enough contact with Michael, he may not be able to stop himself from fessing up about the ringtone.
Then there’s the gift wrapped option Jacinda gave Michael. I would say he should have taken her up on her offer–and he should have–but that would have been a waste of our time. That route would have been dead in the water as soon as Michael found out Valentine was in his mother’s attic.
