Family loyalties were tested when Ronnie kicked Tracy out of the mansion, Dante questioned Michael about Drew’s shooting, and Chase made it his mission to clear Willow’s name. Trouble is brewing, and it’s not just the tea that is dangerous. Buckle up for a new General Hospital commentary for the week ending October 24, 2025.
Dearest readers, when Ronnie Bard told Cody Bell that she had always had weakness for cowboys, I smiled ear to ear and saw the entire Buchanan Clan in my brain. Asa, Clint, Beau โ oh, what a sexy, soapy cowboy clan Erika Slezakโs Victoria Lord once belonged to. That was a lovely wink from the General Hospital writers to all the former One Life to Live fans throwing Cody and Ronnie together and letting us daydream about ghosts of cowboyโs past.
Cowboys and Quartermaines
I canโt tell you how happy I am that General Hospital brought Ms. Slezak out of retirement and back home to ABC — and Port Charles. Watching Ronnie and Tracy, played by another formerly retired soap diva Jane Elliot, dance together is a thrilling sight. Two masters of the genre playing together delights this AARP-aged heart. Next up, letโs get Robin Strasser to come and play, too. Last week I wrote a column about how many General Hospital actors are currently on The Young and the Restless, but I maybe someday I will do another about how many One Life to Live alumni are on General Hospital!
I know my opinion means nothing, but I genuinely think that Ronnie is an innocent. I believe that she was shocked when the will revealed that Monica had left the house to her. I’m certain that she came to town exactly for the reason that she said she did; to pay respects to her sister and to try and learn about Monica’s life.
The true outlaws
The change in the will has Drew Cain and Martinโs fingerprints all over it. Maybe itโs Martin’s way of getting even with Tracy for siccing his ex-wife on him. Maybe itโs Drew’s way of teaching Tracy a lesson for kicking him out of the Q house or perhaps I am wrong and Ronnie is a con woman. But I hope not. I hope she is exactly what she seems, a lovely woman trying to pay respects to her sister.
I loved Ronnieโs interactions with Gio, Brook Lynn, Michael and the rest of the family. Sheโs the kind of person they need in their lives; a Lila-like character who listens and doesnโt judge. Perhaps, eventually, Tracy and Ronnie can be friends? Iโm not holding my breath, but itโs possible.
A scallywag’s bad offer
Drew stopped by to try and pull Ronnie into his web of lies and offered to buy the Q house from her by trying to bond over the two of them being outsiders. She might have been falling for it until Danny came in with both guns blazing demanding that Drew get out of his house. I can hardly wait until Jason discovers that Drew is harassing Danny again. I really want Jason to pulverize Drew and drop him in the Pine Barrens like all the other people Jason and Sonny have made disappear over the years. There’s no pathway to redemption for Drew that I see. Why would Drew even want the Q house other than to stick it to Tracy and Michael?
It cracked me up that Tracy packed up all the Q valuables and has Luluโs house stacked with boxes. I truly donโt think that Tracy drugged Ronnie. Her, โWhere would I get the drugs?โ question rang true. I mean itโs not like Tracy is out on the street buying drugs. I think instead it was Martin when he went over to introduce himself.
No matter, the truth will come out eventually. It always does.
Supermax Prisons and Bad Wigs
Ask Carly. Jason caved and told his BFF Josslynโs deep dark secret about being in the WSB — as we knew he would. But what followed next was jaw dropping. Carly did NOT confront Joss, and she did NOT confront Jack. I was stunned! Instead, Carly bought herself an Elvira wig at Spirit Halloween and busted into a supermax prison posing as Valentinโs lawyer. You know, the same high security prison that took special maneuvers from the WSB to get Charlotte in for a visit with her dad. (So sad heโs no longer “Papa.”) I knew Spinelli was a hacker, but I didnโt know he was a forger, too. How did he get Carly papers overnight that looked real enough to fool a supermax prison? Who cares?
I am happy to suspend my disbelief for a plethora of reasons. For one, we get more Valentin scenes. I adore James Patrick Stuart, and I want him on my TV daily. Secondly, Carly and Valentin making peace and agreeing to work together. Thirdly, and donโt hate me, but I can see that connection turning into something. If Valentin helps Carly take down Jack and he is ousted at the WSB, and a new WSB chief pardons Valentin of his crimes, that will bring Valentin home to Port Charles. Sure, Valentin still loves Anna, but if Annaโs truly done with him, I wouldnโt mind Valentin and Carly having a little celebratory fling.
And then there’s Faison
Also, while I know mentally that Faisonโs brain is in a jar, I canโt help but think that he or his clone is going to show up in Port Charles. Even worse, his most hated offspring Peter August. Valentin has to be in town for that, doesnโt he? I want Charlotte reunited with her dad. I want Sidwell out of Wyndemere and the Cassadines back in. Heck, bring Nikolas and Valentin home at the same time and let them duke it out over the house. Better yet, make Wyndemere like the Q house and have Nikolas, Ace, Alexis, Scout, Charlotte and Valentin all living in that creepy castle raising their kids together. I need more Cassadines on General Hospital.
With a Family Like This…
I have a question this week. What happened to family loyalty on General Hospital? Dante accused Michael of framing Willow, all of the Qโs have sided with Ronnie, while Tracy was kicked to the curb, Chase sided with Willow over Michael and the Qโs, and Alexis and Kristina had Mollyโs dad chained up in the basement. The word of the week was treachery.
The heated fight between Dante and Michael was absolute fire. I cannot say enough times how happy I am that Chad Duell quit. No offense to him or his work on General Hospital over the years, but Rory Gibsonโs dark and fiery version of Michael is the Michael we need right now. He reminds me of Tyler Christopherโs brilliant portrayal of Nikolas Cassadine — tender and dark, romantic and lethal. Tyler contained multitudes and Rory does, too. Dominic Zamprognaโs intense questioning of his brother led to Michael screaming in Danteโs face, โDo you think I wouldโve sent Sasha and Daisy away if I didnโt think they were real danger?โ
Michael and General Hospital viewers know the truth
Michael knows in his gut that Willow was the one targeting Daisy, but he does not have proof. But we do, because we saw her do it. She 100% knows how to sneak into the Q house. And if Chase thinks really hard, he will remember that he saw her in the house, too. Chaseโs blind loyalty to Willow right now has me nervous. Are they going to break up Chase and BLQ? Willow cheated on Chase with Michael before, and he seems to have forgotten what a great liar she is.
Alibis and Accidental Attraction
But back to Michael. Jacinda is more loyal to Michael right now than his own brother is, but of course Michael is paying her. Michael made a Pretty Woman proposition to Jacinda, and I thought, โI wish Michael would pay me to fall in love with him.โ But then I remembered that Iโm a married Nana and not a hot 20-something escort, and my hopes were dashed.
Imagine if Jacinda and Michael actually fall for one another and then Daisy and Sasha come home. If Michael dumps Jacinda, she will have no incentive not to tell all of his secrets, but if he stays with her, he loses Sasha and his daughter. That would be soapalicious, no?
I wonder what job Michael going to give Jacinda that pays under the table, has health insurance and isnโt connected to ELQ or Michael? Maybe he will ask Lulu to reopen the Haunted Star and make Jacinda a club owner. Maybe Michael will make Jason hire her to fix motorcycles at Brandoโs old garage. Perhaps Sonny will hire her to make spaghetti at a new restaurant, Mob Pasta. Maybe Carly will make Jacinda the towel girl at the never before seen but suddenly open Metro Court Steam Room. Did they build it on top of the pool for winter? I mean, we do need a place where people can be scantily clad.
Who shot Drew?
Readers, what do you think? Did Michael plant the gun at Lizโs house? Possibly. Did he see Willow shoot Drew? Also, possibly. If he planted the gun because Willow did the crime and she was trying to frame him, then I canโt be that mad at him. Willow used to be such a sympathetic character, but not anymore. Now sheโs Undercover Nelle.
Willow grows more like her evil sister daily. She knows that Drew planned to frame Michael and is fine with it. She knows that Drew told Wiley that his daddy didnโt want him anymore. Willow knows Drew let her fly all the way to Germany and lied to keep her from seeing Michael and working things out. What on earth does she think she needs from Drew? Or is she playing him? I think she is manipulating him and using him to get what she wants, so I refer back to Nelle.
But I donโt think either Willow or Michael shot Drew. I think it was Sidwell or one of his flunkies because Drew had become a thorn in Sidwellโs side.
To Tell or Not to Tell
Sidwellโs employee Jordan accidentally stumbled on Portiaโs pregnancy secret. There are a lot of strong opinions on what Jordan should do. Some are in the โMind your own businessโ camp and others are in the โCurtis deserves the truthโ camp. I lean towards the second one. If one of my friends was going to be a dad and didnโt know it, I would totally tell them.
The part that Jordan does not know is that Portia also slept with Isaiah, so the baby might not be Curtis’ child. Which frankly, I am not feeling that relationship at ALL. I was way more interested when Isaiah and Jordan went out for a minute, or when Jordan dated Portiaโs brother for another minute, but Portia and Isaiah donโt really have a lot of chemistry in my humble opinion.
I Get So Emotional, Baby
You know who does have chemistry? Nathan andโฆ everyone on General Hospital. I love Ryan Paevey and every one of Nathanโs scenes have been deeply satisfying to me. I especially loved his scenes with Lulu on Friday when the two of them compared notes on being in a coma and waking up to find that your kids have grown up without you and the world you knew had changed. That made me tear up because I have not been in a coma and yet the world as I knew it is becoming less recognizable by the day. Nathan and Liesl. James and Nathan. Nathan and Dante. Itโs all so touching.
I was also moved by Spinelli seeking out Jasonโs advice on how to share parenting with Nathan. Spinelli loves James and he loves Maxie, but he knows there is a chance that he will lose them both.
And I full on cried during the Brook Lynn and Lois scenes at Sonny’s house. Iโm an only child who was very close to my late mom, so those mother/daughter scenes always choke me up. I am glad that before Rena Sofer left the show, they let Lois and BLQ have a moment of reconciliation. Rena Sofer is moving to NYC and is leaving the show, but since Lois didnโt die, I am sure she may be back someday.
Of course, even if Lois had died, she might be back anyway, as we see with Britt and Nathan walking around.
What will happen tomorrow dear readers?
Will Ronnie curtsy for Cassadine royalty the way she did for Felicia? Will Brooklyn give up throwing tea parties since the last one went so terribly wrong? Is Ronnie going to hand out full size candy bars at the Q mansion for Halloween?
Will Michael make Jacinda the new Q mansion cook? Will Lois come back from Blazeโs tour with Brenda to thank Sonny for accepting Lois apology? Is Chase going to get a lower back tattoo of Willowโs name and drink her Dawn of Willow tea? (Credit to Liz Masters for that name!)
Will Britt pay the bill that Anna drew up for all the money they wasted trying to solve Britt’s murder when Britt’s not dead? Is Mayor Collins going to work with ADA Turner to wreck Congressman Cutthroatโs career as they both know that he is shady? Will Emma and Gio get in over their head with Dalton and need Student Agent Jax and Janitor Vaughn to save them?
Are Chase and Michael going to have more shirtless arguments in the steam room? Will Danny and Rocco be the ones to outsmart Drew and bring him down?
Finally, will you please check out Dan J Kroll’s latest Beyond The Gates commentary? This week’s column is called “Broken Hearts and Broken Penises.” I can’t wait to see what that’s all about.
Only tomorrow knows dear readers and I will tune in tomorrow as long as there are tomorrows. – Tamilu

Love your commentary. I must say though Lulu can’t reopen The Haunted Star without buying a new yacht. Victor took it when he kidnapped Spencer with Trina on board. The yacht was blown up in Greenland with Victor and Spencer, but Spencer survived.
Jordan needs to mind her own business.
Wasn’t Jordan supposed to be “under cover” working for Sidwell? This aspect hasn’t been explored at all and I think it would be much more interesting than this junior high schoolish competition over the undeserving Curtis.
If Jordan finds out Isiah may be the father of Portiaโs baby, I can understand her having a dilemma. But at this point, itโs completely unnecessary for her to get involved. No one is planning of leaving town. Curtis and Portia share a daughter and will certainly continue to see each other. Curtis is eventually going to find out
Iโm usually on Jordanโs side, but if she runs to Curtis, it would only be to one up Portia. Jordan keeps saying she wants to stay out of it, so stay out of it
Tracy brought up a very good point. Why did Monica never invite Ronnie to come to PC for a visit? The “letters” thing has many red flags. Why no phone calls or emails? Monica hadn’t left her bedroom for months. She could not have mailed her letters, someone would have had to mail them for her. Monica certainly did not pick up the Quartermain mail. Someone else would be doing this. So how come no one else was aware that Monica was getting letters?
Why is Tracy going to Lulu to investigate Ronnie? She’s not a PI. Oh yeah.., she’s an “investigative reporter”, but Spinelli is the guy to go to. Tracy may think that Ronnie is a fraud, but Tracy is too smart to think that Ronnie could have pulled off forging a will.
My suspicion is that Marty contacted Ronnie by impersonating the deceased Quartermain attorney. He may have even sent Ronnie the letters that were supposedly sent by Monica and somehow intercepted Ronnnies’ letters to Monica. This would explain why there are no phone calls or emails between the sisters. Then Marty forged the fake codicil to the will.
Why is Jordan going to Anna to whine about Portia? Why would Anna care? Why does Jordan give a hoot about Curtis. They were married and he was a jerk of a husband. Besides, does anyone care about this love triangle?
It didn’t take long to ruin Dr. Gannon. First, he’s all in on Jordan. Now it’s Portia. He could have been an interesting character, but now he’s just a “bird dog”.
I found it odd that “Nathan” has not asked about his “death”, especially when Lulu told him how devastated Maxie was when he died. Shouldn’t he be curious? That is the one thing in the last seven years that he doesn’t
“remember” that someone could tell him about. He says that he doesn’t remember anything from the last seven years, but he doesn’t ask. How does he even know that it’s been seven years.
Anna told him in the hospital that he’s supposedly been dead for seven years.
Not to mention Jamesโs age and the date
Nathan is clearly not behaving as you might think though. Aside from the lack of interest in where heโs been, he hasnโt gone to see Maxie and isnโt making much of an effort to spend time with James. Itโs like he says some of the words about loving Maxie, etc, but itโs superficial. His actions donโt back it up
The one thing that got his full attention is the same motivator he had when we first met himโNinaโs problems. If heโs not Nathan and came to Port Charles for nefarious reasons, I wouldnโt expect him to spend so much effort on Nina. He would have bigger fish to fry. So he seems to be either Nathan or someone who thinks heโs Nathan but with a muted emotional response to everything from his last stint in Port Charles
Next, on “Hypocrite Junction!”
Monday and Tuesday’s episodes were a Bit Disconcerting to say the least.
Between the Quartermaine Mutiny and Jordan doing her Best Mrs. Kravitz imitation, calling Anna down to the Brown Dog to Gossip about Porthole,
Then EwDrew using Scout as an Extortion Bargaining Chip with Alexis.
When called out by Alexis he sez, “I Don’t Care!”
How Awful can these folks really be?
I’m sorry (NOT Sorry), but The Character of Ronnie gives me Agita.
Yes, Tracy was being Pretty Awful, but I’m pretty sure it was Marty who Slipped Ronnie the Mickey.
That’s why he made up the Phone Excuse.
And what’s with the rest of Tracy’s Family?
ZERO Support.
Yes, we all know Tracy was Wrong, mostly.
But still.
Nice Family.

Ninny and Wallow’s Day In Court was Pretty Amusing.
Wallow had only just recently denied Ninny “Walking in the Rain” with her when EwDrew was shot, so why is she Blubbering now that Ninny has recanted in Court??
First , she “Doesn’t Want” Ninny’s Help, now she’s a Traitor because she told the truth, which is what Wallow insisted is what she wanted ?
And why isn’t Congressman Jazz Hands arrested for Contempt?
Then there was the Lulu and Lucas Judgment Luncheon.
I just want to Smack ShrewLu’s Judgmental Face.
Even if she is right.
But she isn’t.
I guess ShrewLu doesn’t have a Guest Room.
She truly deserves to have Tracy camp out in her Living Room for a while. With her Boxes.
Do them both some good.
~~~
What the Hell is Carly doing at Steinmaur?
Yeah, that Costume is Foolproof.
Omg those Glasses.
That Wig is Awful.
She buy it at Dollar General?
~~~
Anna’s hair looks a little better this week.
Tracy’s? Not so Much.
Sleeping on ShrewLu’s Couch does not agree with her.
~~~~
Has Chase taken over as the New Village Idiot from Cody??
Cody’s Character has been toned down so we can enjoy his Shenanigans, and now Chase is Acting the Fool and Doing the Most, Stalking Mikey in the Steam Room.
And how did he get to Pentonville so fast?
I’m guessing they’ve Fired Up the Port Charles Tardis because Alexis sure is getting around Port Charles at a Rapid Clip, too.
You’d think these places were like, right next to each other on a Sound Stage or something.
~~~
Next, on the Bobbin Ronnie Home and Garbage Network:
Well.
She likes Cowboys.
Isn’t Cooty Lucky.
And now Congressman Jazz Hands turns up to Manipulate Bobbin Ronnie.
~~~
Now, “Nathan”
What The Actual….?
He sez to ShrewLu, “…Now Maxi is GONE and James is Grown Up….”
James is SEVEN.
And Maxi is in Boston!! Go see her!!
Who is this “Nathan”?
If it was Peter/Heiney, then he’d be losing his mind to see Bailey Lu!
So that can’t be it.
Plus,
Has no one has even mentioned to “Nathan” that Maxi has an Invisible Daughter with his Dead Brother??
~~~
I do hope Gio picks up the Violin again.
Bye, Lois! Have fun with Blasรฉ!!
Hey, how come Blasรฉ wasn’t at Mami Dearest’s (Natalia’s) Funeral?
Well, pretty much Nobody was.
But I Digress.
~~~
I kind of like Mikey with Jacinda.
Too bad she’s probably going to get killed off (like Abby).
~~~~
I really wish a Giant Acme Anvil would fall from the Great Beyond and flatten Congressman Jazz Hands where he stands.
I DO think Willow tried to kill Drew. She lost her temper and assaulted Lucas at work. If Lucas had reported it, she could have lost her job or been put on suspension at the very least. What she did to Daisy to terrorize Sasha and Michael for payback was sick and that tells me she is more than capable of shooting Drew.
I am hoping that despite Chaseโs empathy toward Willow, he will investigate and be the one to prove Willow is guilty, not only of shooting Drew but that sheโs responsible for what happened with Daisy and Sasha, just like Michael told him.
All the men who have a motive for shooting Drew wouldn’t have snuck up on him and shot him in the back. A man would have confronted Drew about everything he’s done and shot him point blank in the chest or head. Drew would be dead, just like Michael said he’d be IF he had been the one to shoot Drew. Not to be sexist, but a WOMAN would be more likely to shoot Drew in the back, except for Carly or Nina. They WOULD have the guts to confront Drew face-to-face and shoot him dead with one shot.
It makes MORE sense for Willow to be guilty than Michael or anyone else. Willow has said many times she will do ANYTHING to get her kids back. Lucas even said the other day that Willow is obsessed with her kids and he’s not wrong. Willow mainly blames Drew for losing custody. Plus, Drew made a fool of her when she learned he’d been sleeping with Nina at the same time he was kissing her, and she was falling in love with him. When she dumped Drew at the altar, she had another meltdown and went to Carly’s that night. Because she did as Michael demanded and left Drew, she really believed Michael would let her see the kids again. When that didn’t happen, she felt Michael had lied to her, not realizing he wouldnโt let her see Wiley and Amelia because of her mental instability. Thatโs when she decided to get rid of him by killing Drew and framing Michael, killing two birds with one stone, er gun. Within a few days after her almost wedding, Willow snuck back into the Quartermaine’s and took Edward’s gun. Since she had lived in that house, she knew (as Michael said) Edward’s study is hardly used. She knew the missing gun would probably not be noticed before she had a chance to return it. I think she only got back with Drew so everyone would think she’d forgiven him and would have no reason to kill him. Willow told Elizabeth she decided to get back with Drew because he has the power and influence to get custody of her kids. “He’s so powerful he reached across an ocean…” It would be further ‘evidence’ she wouldn’t want Drew dead. Then, she finds out the judge was murdered, and that pushed her over the edge. She went to Drew’s, let herself in with the key and hid in a closet when she heard Trina and Kai come in. She saw them go to the back of the house and a few minutes later Drew came home. When she didnโt hear Drew confront Trina and Kai, she realized they were hiding somewhere and knew it would be safe to carry out her plan. She shot him when he went to the fireplace and took a sip of his drink. Just as she does, Scout calls her, and she has the same ringtone as Drew does for Scout. She had to get out of there quickly before Kai and Trina might rush out to the living room and catch her. Willow tried to return the gun by sneaking back into the house the day she brought Scout by to see Monica but was caught by Chase. That’s why the gun was in her room at Elizabeth’s. The show is trying too hard to make us think poor Willow is being framed. I don’t believe for one minute Michael would do that. He has a conscience, unlike Willow, and he wouldn’t do that to HIS KIDS, letting them believe their mother is a would-be murderer. Willow needs help and the only way anyone, but Michael is going to see that, is if she gets caught for shooting Drew and for what she did to Daisy and Sasha. Besides, what BETTER PUNISHMENT for Drew than to realize the woman he loves really HATES him so much she wanted him dead?
I agree with everything in this post. Just perfect. I really would love it if stupid Chase actually found proof of Willow stalking baby Daisy and smirking about it and also that she shot Drew. She is basically evil now.
I like a lot of this. The writers may introduce a silly twist, but with Edwardโs gun being in Willowโs room, I donโt see how the shooter could be anyone other than Michael or Willow. No one else would use Edwardโs gun then plant it in Willowโs room. I think the writers are much more likely to make Willow the shooter than Michael
I do not think the shooter knew Kai and Trina were at the house though. To know that and shoot Drew anyway is too risky. They could have seen her in the house, leaving the house or driving away. Most importantly, they would make sure Drew got medical attention. Which they did. If they had not left the door open, Tracy might have turned around and left when Drew didnt answer the door.
I also donโt think thereโs any being โpushed over the edgeโ in this scenario. Itโs all too calculated. If Willow pretended to go back to Drew to throw suspicion off herself well before the shooting, if she stole Edwardโs gun and tried to return it to frame Michael, she knows exactly what sheโs doing. And now if sheโs screaming and crying about being framed by Michael if she is in fact guiltyโฆwow, what a piece of work
Honestly? I would absolutely LOVE IT if Danny and Rocco were the ones to bring Drew down. It’s far past time that someone did.
Dear Liz:
yes – we love our easter eggs from OLTL!
And Yes – I honeslty believe that Ronnie is an innocent, because Martin is just a little too gleeful at Tracy’s frustration. I am hopeful that someone figures it out that the will have been – ahem – amended in the wrong way.
And Yes – I am already tired of who shot Drew. And if it was not Jenz, the preview that I heard makes me wish fevertently that he acts on him musing….When he told Alexis one thing and then told Martin something different, I wanted to throttle the charater through the TV Screen. I am happy for KMacM who has scenery to chew. I am sad for JW – his character has turned into something I have not seen in ages – he is so enamored of Willow, just like he was “JaNelle” back in the day, that he cannot see clearly to be a part of the PCPD any more. The character needs help, or a slap upside the head with a loud “snap outta it”.
I don’t believe Michael shot Drew, but he does know a lot more than he’s letting on. I’m 70/30 in favor of believing he set up Willow though. I’m 60/40 in favor of believing that Willow shot Drew, but I could also believe Sidwell hired someone to take out Drew.
Not sure how Michael would lose Sasha and his daughter if he and Jacinda got together for real. He and Sasha were never together before he left Port Charles. Even if Sasha did want to be with him, she’s not going to keep her daughter from him just because he’s with another woman. As long as that woman doesn’t cause any problems for her daughter, it wouldn’t be a problem.
I am in no way on Portia’s side, but Jordan definitely needs to mind her own business. Even if she was suspicious of Portia being pregnant at the tea party because of how she was behaving, it’s not her business. Maybe Portia didn’t want anybody to know. That’s her prerogative. If Jordan’s concern is that Curtis is in the dark about it, well that’s between Portia and Curtis. Curtis does deserve to know, but Portia needs to be the one to tell him. It’s not Jordan’s job nose around in Portia’s business because she’s acting weird at a party, and after finding out what she’s hiding, decide that it’s her responsibility to tell Curtis.
