The streets of Port Charles are littered with sinners, saints, and saviors. Will Cyrus be caught before he claims another victim? Does Nina have the courage to tell Willow the truth about Drew? Whatโs really driving Drew these days? Letโs discuss that and more in a new General Hospital commentary for the week ending January 17, 2025.
Dear readers, when I write a column, I start by creating a document on Monday. I type my thoughts and impressions after each episode, usually just a few sentences each day. By Friday afternoon, Iโll have a basic outline of what Iโm going to talk about. Itโs usually no more than 500 words. Tops.
Not this week. When I opened my document on Friday morning, I had a 1,550-plus word commentary with headings, sub-headings, and references. A lot of those comments were about the mess that is Drillow (Drew and Willow), and most of it colorful words and terms that I canโt use in polite society.
Drewโs metamorphosis from good to evil
Thereโs definitely something different about Drew these days. Weโve all noticed how much he has changed, especially this past year. Even the characters have commented on it.
It started after Drew was attacked in jail. As soon as he was given his walking papers from General Hospital, he boldly signed Scout up for an elite private school without so much as running it past Sam or even Scout. Sam was forced to put her foot down and nix the idea because Scout had no desire to switch schools. At the time, I remember Sam calling Drew out on his uncharacteristic behavior.
Drew continued to shift to the dark side. He set his beady sights on destroying Nina as payback for ratting him and Carly out to the SEC. Drew blamed Nina for sending him to jail, and he vowed to make her pay for that folly. He did so by having hate-sex with her. Repeatedly. Oh, and he used her to pave the way for his political career.
Drewโs rage didnโt end with Nina. No, Drew was also livid that Michael hadnโt run to Drew with the news that Nina was the snitch. Not long after, Drew seemed to be everywhere Willow was, stealing kisses, and whispering in her ear about his deep desire for her and making her feel as if it was them against the world. At the same time, he continued to have sexual relations with Willowโs mother.
Not for a second do I believe that Drew is actually in love with Willow. At best, heโs in lust. At worst, sheโs a means to an end.
A villain in a latex mask or something else?
These days, Drew bears little resemblance to the kind, honorable, and upstanding man he once was. Between the constant plotting, manic energy, and insidious manipulations, he reminds me of more of Shiloh Archer than Drew Cain.
The Drew that we see today is not the same man we saw go into Pentonville. Heโs hyper focused on Willow and using many of the tactics that Shiloh used to isolate Kristina from her loved ones. Itโs not just me who sees this. Thereโs been a growing chorus of viewers who are wondering if the man who calls himself Drew Quartermaine is really the Dawn of Day cult leader.
Long time viewers know that no one is ever really dead on a soap opera. This is especially true for General Hospital. Yes, Shilohโs body was recovered and autopsied, but there are ways around that. Remember, Shiloh was in cahoots with Helena Cassadine when he kidnapped Drew all those years ago. Would one of her associates or even Victor have helped Shiloh fake his death? Absolutely.
However, if Shiloh is truly back, I donโt think heโs running around in a latex mask. Itโs far more likely that Drew underwent memory mapping again. Heโs susceptible to it because heโd been successfully programed with Jasonโs memories years earlier. Was the attack in Pentonville a ruse to tinker with Drewโs brain? Possible. But why would anyone want to bring Shiloh back after all this time? I canโt quite figure that part out.
Willow is no victim
It would be easy to paint Willow as a victim of Drewโs machinations, but I donโt see it that way. Willow is a grown woman who spent months engaging in an emotional affair even though she expected complete honesty and transparency from her husband. She refuses to take full accountability for that.
Willowโs talk with Chase was frustrating. Both Chase and Willow glossed over her cheating ways when they decided that she was drawn to savior types because sheโs in search of the family she never had. Baloney. Years of growing up in a cult has damaged Willow, and she will continue having unhealthy relationships until she gets herself into therapy and learns to take responsibility for her own poor choices.
Yes, Drew took advantage of the cracks in Willowโs marriage, but they were there because Willow held Michael to a higher standard than she held herself. She didnโt trust her husband. Not when she had cancer, and not after she started having feelings for another man. It was easier for her to act on those illicit feelings than to admit to Michael that their family and their life together didnโt fulfill her because she doesnโt know how to have healthy relationships.
To my knowledge, Willow has never addressed the damage that Shiloh, Harmony, and the years of living in cults have done to her. She is doomed to repeat the same damaging patterns until she gets help. Thatโs on her and no one else.
All is not fair in love and war — even on General Hospital
One day, Willow is going to have to answer to her children about her decision to use their critically injured father as a bargaining chip to force Sonny and Carlyโs hand.
I donโt care about Sonny and Carlyโs feelings. My issue with this stunt was how Willowโs actions might have hurt Michael. As Sasha pointed out to Willow, Michael is fighting for his life. He has a right to have his loved ones at his side in case the worst should happen. The idea that Willow would withhold that basic comfort from him — for any reason — shows just how cruel she can be.
Willow doesnโt get points for ultimately changing her mind. It was incredibly easy for Drew to talk her into taking that action.
I have no empathy for Willow mainly because she refused to see how her own actions led to Michael filing for full custody. She tried to blame it on her savior fixation, but Michael did what he did because Willow took Wiley on a trip with Drew without letting Michael know. She didnโt even have the decency to let Michael have Amelia while she was out of town.
After having sex with Drew, Willow remained mystified about Michael filing for divorce and seeking full custody. She had the temerity to sit up in bed, with the sheet wrapped around her nude body and say, โMy mind just keeps running in circles. I just keep asking myself how things got so bad so fast.โ I donโt know Willow — just spitballing here โ but maybe itโs because you are naked in bed with his uncle, while your young son is alone and asleep in another hotel room.
Bad writing or soapy goodness?
I see General Hospital viewers complaining about the โbad writingโ by the โhack writers.โ While I do hate the direction of the Drillow storyline, I canโt deny that it has viewers talking. Drew is utterly detestable, and Willow is completely delusional. I find myself rooting for anyone who calls them out for their horrid behavior. Heck, the writers even had me cheering Josslyn on during her confrontation with Willow.
Online, most viewers are united in their dislike for Drillow. I canโt remember the last time we were all so unified.
Itโs clear to me that the writers recognize that Drew and Willow are not sympathetic in any way, shape or form. Many of the characters have made the same observations and accusations that viewers have made online. Itโs not written as two likeable characters caught up in a sweet romance. It’s a torrid affair between two morally corrupt people.
The neon writing on the wall
Nina is just as manipulative as Drew, so she easily recognizes the signs. Even Nina had to admit that Willow had gone too far by blocking Michaelโs loved ones from visiting.
Nina could have nipped this disastrous dalliance in the bud long ago by telling Willow about her sexcapades with Drew. Iโm convinced that Willowโs view of Drew would be much different if Nina had been honest with her from the start. By keeping quiet, Nina chose self-preservation over her daughterโs best interests.
Nina was more than happy to see Willow leave Michael and take the kids with her. It didnโt matter to Nina that the kids would miss their dad and that they would bounce around from home to home. All she cared about was that she would finally have Willow and the kids to herself. Is Nina better than Drew. No.
However, in a battle between Nina and Drew, I will pick Nina every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Thatโs how much Iโve grown to despise Drew.
I have no illusions about Nina. She doesn’t want what is best for Willow and the kids. She wants whatโs best for Nina. But — for now — the enemy of my enemy is my ally. Drew is a diabolical swine and needs to be exposed.
Cheers to Tracy too
Tracy proved to be a force to be reckoned with. I loved each moment. She is the only person who is protecting the kids, and I feel like Michael would approve of the move. Michael would want Wiley and Amelia to be safeguarded from Drew. Drewโs soul grows blacker by the day.
Iโm fine with the idea of Monica keeping Wiley and Amelia close, especially now that weโve lost our beloved Leslie Charleson. Her death rocked me, and itโs been hard this week hearing Tracy talk about her sister-in-law with such raw emotion and genuine affection. I wrote a tribute to the amazing Leslie Charleson, which you can check out here.
I will applaud Alexis too — if she decides to file for custody of Scout. We’ve seen Drew exploit Scoutโs grief to get his way with Willow. It’s reprehensible. He doesnโt deserve that child.
Scene of the week goes to Jane Elliot and Steve Burton when Tracy implored Jason to pick the Quartermaines over Sonny and Carly. To my surprise, Jason did. I felt that hug between Tracy and Jason to my core. What a beautiful and powerful scene.
My second favorite moment was when Drew showed up with Martin, police officers, and a court order to take the children only for Tracy to inform everyone that Wiley and Amelia werenโt there. Well played Tracy!
We all know that Drew was hoping to score points with Willow by bringing those kids to her, but shame on Martin for not even discussing that legal maneuver with his client first. What gives Drew the right to make decisions for Willow and the children?
General Hospitalโs Demon of Death
Speaking of legal woes. I see several wrongful death lawsuits in General Hospital’s future.
Folks, how in the world did anyone review the security footage of Michaelโs hospital room — even if it was quick glance — and not see the same masked doctor who entered both Dex and Samโs hospital rooms minutes before they each coded from an overdose of Digitalis? It defies logic unless the person is on Cyrusโ payroll. Oh, who am I kidding? That would be equally preposterous. No one in their right mind would work for Cyrus.
Iโd smooch an angry viper before Iโd trust a man like Cyrus.
For a moment, it looked like Michael might die. Fortunately, Isaiah and Lucas managed to save him. I just canโt understand how Cyrus has been able to get away with his dastardly deeds. Did Cyrus steal the Cloak of Invisibility from Harry Potter?
Even in the broadest sense, these are not mercy killings. As Lucky reminded Elizabeth and Lucas, both Sam and Dex were healthy. Cyrus is evil, but there has to be a personal reason that heโs killing people. Iโm certain it all leads back to Lulu and the explosion at the Floating Rib four years ago.
Itโs why Cyrus was so desperate to spirit Lulu away before she woke up from her coma.
Jackโs new protรฉgรฉ
That brings me to Jack Brennan. Jack knows that Cyrus stabbed Dex, but rather than share the evidence of the attempted murder with Anna, he encouraged Josslyn to keep digging into the attempt on Dexโs life. He even gave Josslyn a list of suspects to question.
Is Jack testing Josslynโs investigative skills to see if she might make a good WSB agent? Iโm almost certain of it.
I wouldnโt mind seeing Josslyn go in that direction. The idea of Josslyn becoming a doctor never felt right. Iโve completely forgotten what sheโs studying in college now, but I do know that the action and adventure of being a WSB agent might be right up her alley.
Unfortunately, we know that Josslyn has Dexโs gun. That doesnโt bode well for Cyrus when Josslyn figures out exactly what Cyrus has been up to in recent months. After all, Josslyn is her motherโs daughter, and Carly is infamous for acting before she thinks.

General Hospital’s revisionist history
Soaps are notorious for tampering with the showโs history when it suits their purpose. General Hospital is no exception. I hate it because itโs seldom for the better.
The latest revision was to Dante and Brook Lynnโs past. For years weโve heard how Dante always viewed Brook Lynn as a little sister, and that there was never anything romantic between them despite Brook Lynnโs childhood crush. He swore this to Lulu — repeatedly. That turned out to be a lie. A great big fat lie.
We recently learned through conversations between Dante and Cody as well as Lois and Brook Lynn that not only was Dante sweet for Brook Lynn, but they had sex at summer camp, and she got pregnant. Of course, Dante doesnโt know about the pregnancy or that Brook Lynn gave their baby up for adoption. But that will soon change.
It doesnโt take Sherlock Holmes to figure out that Gio is Dante and Brook Lynnโs long lost son.
So many questions, so few answers
I havenโt seen any recognition on Brook Lynnโs part that Gio is her son, so I donโt think she was in on the plot to introduce Gio as the orphaned son of a cousin. Lois is a different story. Whenever Gio’s parentage is mentioned, a cloud of guilt crosses her expression. I had even suspected that Gio might be Lois and Sonnyโs secret love child.
I just canโt figure out how Sonny got involved in all of this. Gio was born before Sonny learned that Dante was his son. Are we to believe that Sonny financially supported Gio simply because Lois asked him to? Why would Lois even need Sonnyโs financial help with Gio if she had her own thriving career and both the Cerullo and Falconeri families were raising him?
I also canโt figure out why Brook Lynn kept this from Dante. Clearly, Dante cared about Brook Lynn when she got pregnant. Sure, it would have been a difficult conversation to have, but Dante had a right to know.
Luluโs mission of love
A motherโs love is a powerful thing. I have two children, so I know the feeling. Thereโs nothing that I wouldnโt do to keep my children safe. I fully understand Luluโs desire to find Charlotte and bring her home, but I canโt understand how she thinks sheโs going to accomplish that, especially when she’s still recovering from a liver transplant.
A liver transplant is not something that you can simply bounce back from in a week or two. Patients require frequent bloodwork to monitor for possible organ rejection. You wouldn’t know that from the way Lulu bounces around town. It’s such a disservice to what transplant patients really go through.
I’m annoyed by Lulu’s attitude. She acts like getting Charlotte back is the only thing that matters. What about her other child?
Rocco needs his mother as much as Charlotte does. Maybe more because heโs younger and grew up with Lulu — minus that first year when Britt had him. Charlotte is nearly an adult, and she has chosen to be with Valentin whether Lulu agrees with that decision or not. Even if Lulu finds Charlotte again, sheโs not going to convince Charlotte to change her mind. Itโs magical thinking on Luluโs part to believe that Charlotte would go with her.
General Hospital Quick Takes
Why is Sidwell taking up residence on Spoon Island, living his best life as if he doesnโt have a care in the world, and parading around town with Lucy? He even stopped in at the Jerome Gallery and bought some art for his new castle. Isnโt he wanted for crimes by several international and national agencies?
How can Avaโs divorce settlement be revoked in another country and enforced in the USA without a court hearing? More importantly, how was Sidwell able to buy Spoon Island and Wyndemere if everything reverted back to the Cassadines?
I love unlikely allies, so Portia teaming up with Brad to find out who is killing patients at General Hospital with Digitalis has the makings of an interesting friendship.
Welcome back Lydia Look! I was wondering what Selina Wu has been up to.
Until next time, dear readers, happy viewing!
Liz Masters
Liz, what do you think of some people saying that what drew and willow are doing to Michael is karma for what he did to Morgan with Kiki and then chase with willow? Personally, I donโt think itโs the same thing.
I think it’s a desperate attempt to excuse the inexcusable. Why is Michael the only one who deserves karma? Didn’t Willow marry Chase under false pretenses? Wasn’t she the one who made vows and commitments to him? Yet Michael deserves karma for that mess? Please.
As for Morgan and Kiki — that was long ago, and Morgan wasn’t without sin. His affair with Ava was more than enough payback for Kiki’s wrongs. Morgan loved his brother and had let all of that go.
I couldnโt agree more.
Whatever happened to the WSB recruiting Curtis. They were setting up something interesting but then he got shot and we had her another paralysis storyline. I guess now it will be Joss
They decided Curtis would be better as CEO of Aurora Media. Another wasted opportunity. I think Curtis would have been great as a WSB agent taking down baddies. Maybe then Sidwell wouldn’t be living large right under Jack and Anna’s noses.
I have always looked forward to your columns as well as tamilu’s columns. So grateful you have both found a new Internet home and that I have found your columns. Always well thought out and such a great read each weekend. Thank you both for sharing your love of GH.
Thank you so much for those kind words! We are delighted that you have found us, and that you continue to enjoy our columns. ๐
The writers apparently are determined to make Gio the child of Dante and BLQ even though GH viewers hate this story line. It just doesn’t work. Every thing about it is wrong. The history for one. Suddenly, Dante, Cody and BLQ all went to summer camp at the same time even though there is at least a 5 year age gap? If BLQ was a counselor , she would have has to be at least 16 or older. That would have put Dante and Cody in their twenties. Can you picture a twenty something Cody any where near a summer camp for kids? The other problem that I have with this story line is that BLQ and Dante have not once acted towards each other in a way that reflects two people who once slept together. I don’t care how long ago it was, it has to affect the way two people interact with each other.
I agree. Everything about this feels wrong. However, it occurred to me that there might be another option. What if BLQ and Cody had sex — something happened, things went too far, and they regretted it the next morning — and that’s who the father of BLQ’s baby is?
I know it’s unlikely, but I would prefer Gio be Cody’s kid rather than Dante’s.
I like that idea, Liz!
Cody as the father is a really good idea if you decide halfway through this storyline was a mistake and want to lower the stakes. Because, really, do we care about whether or not Cody has a secret kid? I donโt. Dante, I care about. Plus, if Cody is the father, Gio is related to maybe 2-3 other characters on the canvas besides the Qs. Dante plus Brooklyn as the parents, the kid is related to like 70% of the town. And you can connect him to another 10-15% with just a few degrees of separationโlike heโs connected to Lulu via Rocco, Alexis via Kristina, etc.
I would prefer that as well. When you consider that Chase is Dante’s partner and good friend, making Dante the father would be rather sticky. One other thing that I thought of is how this would affect Lois and Olivia. They’re supposed to be best friends. I can’t imagine Olivia’s reaction if Lois kept this secret from her all these years.
My friend Vanessa pointed out the writers might throw Cody and Lulu together, which would be perfect if it does turn out that Cody and Brook Lynn — in a moment of weakness — slept together all those years ago. Kind of like history repeating itself.
I think Brooklyn is now supposed to be the same age as Dante and Cody. Yes, itโs fuzzy math. Thatโs obviously impossible because Sonny was in Port Charlesโnot Bensonhurst impregnating Oliviaโimmersed in the mob when Brooklyn was born. But there are at least half a dozen examples of these fluid ages with other characters on the canvas as well. Same thing with the never before mentioned children. There are a lot of them where it doesnโt make any sense that their existence never came up until, coincidentally!, they came to town. Viewers are usually irritated at first but get over it if they like the new character enough.
What I donโt like about this is the way it reflects on Loisโs character. There is a gradient going on. Arranging for a baby to be adopted, thatโs OK. Not telling Dante, Olivia or Nedโฆ.questionable, but in a difficult situation, I guess you can chalk that up to tough decisions getting made. Still keeping quiet when the kidโs adoptive mother dies and his biological parents are now adults, I donโt see any good defense for that. Moving the kid into the house where both biological parents and 3 of 4 grandparents live and continuing to keep quiet=bad, bad, bad. Loisโs assets have always been her honesty and straightforwardness. If the show is going to throw her under the bus like this, there had better be a really good storyline on the other side.
This is why I hate when they tamper with history and timelines. We watched Brook Lynn grow up over the years. Dante? Never heard of him until adult Brook Lynn showed up. We saw some of BLQ’s crushes during her teen years and Dante’s name was never mentioned.
They have already SORASED BLQ seven or eight years, well before Ned even met Lois. If they make her any closer to Dante’s and Cody’s age at least they will have a reason why she’s having problems getting pregnant.
If BLQ was a counselor at the camp, she would have to be a few years older than Dante and Cody, which she is/was not. They were campers and she was a counselor. It just is irrational given what we know about them and their history.
Loved your article and I agree wholeheartedly! The plot holes abound but some parts this week were excellent. I chalk that up to Jane Elliot! She was outstanding as usual. Drew, to me, is the new Peter. I pray he doesnโt stick around as long as that loser!
Doesn’t it feel like the change in Drew is deliberate? No way the writers pen that stuff and say, “This will win viewers over to Drew.”
Instead, they’ve been leaning into Drew’s worst traits that the viewers have been pointing out about for months, and they even put our complaints/observations about Drew into the mouths of other characters. Everything Jordan said to Drew has been said by viewers online.
Not enjoying NotEmma at all. I just have a beef with recasting and fundamentally changing a character into someone we don’t recognize. If they want a totally different character , then add one, don’t change someone we know and love into someone we don’t know. I looked up Brooklyn Rae Silzer’s last appearance on GH and it was Nov.27, 2023, just 14 months ago. She was still our sweet Emma and she mentioned that she was “interning” at Berkley. That indicated that she was probably still in highschool and 17 years old. But 14 months later, she’s 21 and hanging out in bars , and picking pockets. A little respect for GH history, please.
Dear Liz –
It is like you read my mind weekly and masterfully put what I have been thinking in such a wonderful way.
I still find Drew’s revenge on Michael the most bizarre – just because he learned first who the tipster was and did not tell Drew? The parallel is Willow’s anger over Michael seeing the Nursery cam and keeping it quiet for weeks. There was a tipster – Drew fell on his sword willingly to save Carly and thought he would get a slap on the wrist. They – Drew/ Carly/ MIchael – broke the law. That has been established. What good would it do that Drew learns asap? And with Willow – you have lusted over your husband’s uncle for months, confessed to part of the problem, and then jumped his bones in the nursery. Willow – you initiated the sex and Drew was a willingly partner. And yet you are mad at your husband because he did not confront you as soon as he had notice of the video? It almost seems these two are looking for excuses.
The bottom line – Drew was out to punish NIna and he literally stumbled onto her Achillles Heel – her sex drive and being wanted sexually. Then he got to know Willow through the cover up as to how Drew/ NIna were actually being nice to each other, and found her Weakness – the Savior complex.
And he had his ability to punish Nina, cuckhold his nephew, and run circles around a man who has been nothing but a friend from Day 1.
Brain damages? Maybe. Hubris coming from the chance meeting with McCloskey – more likely. All of a sudden, Drew could do no wrong. He was teflon. And he is going for it.
Until Friday – when he crossed the wrong Quartermaine.
The fall from the heights for Drew will be epic.
And the damage will be all over the place – Hey! NIna!
While I love Tracy defending the Q family and protecting the 5th Generation of Q kids – who are we kidding? Chase was correct when he warned Tracy she was facing criminal charges: Tracy has no business in the Willow/ MIchael custody issues/ Divorce action. Her actions have made the situation worse between CarSon and Willow – and that is soapy and that is the reason. Equally soapy – Tracy’s revenge. I have the popcorn and cold Coca Cola at hand.
Jenz Sidwell, who, like Jack Brennan, is delicious eye candy and a hoot on the screen, has me asking – isn’t he a wanted international criminal? Wasn’t the WSB monitoring his activites? So he comes to PC, moves in and no one knows he is here and he has charmed Lucy and Ava? That small fact makes no sense. I like sense.
I am tired of conception watch, it’s a boy – 21 years late! and Lulu forgetting she has a son who adores her. To be honest, Lulu is rapidly entering my “do not like” list. The Gall of her approaching Maxie for a job – Lulu knows as soon as she gets a lead on Charlotte she will zoom out, dropping everything in her wake. That is not fair to Maxie (who has hired her) or BLQ, who will be her boss. And Speaking of not fair – Maxie knows better than to hire Lulu based on the animosity with BLQ.
Yes – this IS a soap.
So until Tuesday and a new show – everyone stay warm.
Aww thank you!
You know who hated Michael? Shiloh. Remember, Shiloh was always obsessed with Willow — and their son. Even though their son had died, he might have seen Wiley as Jonah’s replacement. Doubly so because Shiloh married Nelle right before he “died.”
Also, remember when Drew invited Willow to Washington? I thought it odd that he didn’t include Amelia. Didn’t even mention her. He only extended that invitation to Willow and Wiley.
Liz, everything you said was spot on. Although I have to say that Nina really impressed me this week. When she said that Michael is a good guy, I almost fell out of my chair. Maybe seeing how horrible drew is and the fire has made her realize that Michael isnโt so bad.
Interesting idea regarding Drew. If the writers want to make him not responsible for his actions, mind control or something is a possibility. But thatโs only if you see a future for the character. I think theyโre done with him though and are going all in on making him as creepy and unlikable as they can. Which means thereโs a clock on how much time left he has on the show. My sympathy to the actorโs personal situation aside, I donโt have a problem with that. The show has tried several directions with recast Drew, and none of them have worked. In fact, even when Billy Miller was in the role and Drew was a likeable character, they really struggled with what to do with him as soon as Jason came back to town. Itโs probably time to throw in the towel.
I can see the similarities between Drew and Shiloh, but you know who else current Drew reminds me ofโFranco when he thought he was Drew. That guy was also self serving. He also claimed to care about a woman whoโif he really did care about herโher should have left alone so she could deal with her obvious issues. Instead he used her for his own gratification. So who was that guy? Was he Drew or was he a version of Drew influenced by the worst in Franco? We never actually met the original Drew Cain so we donโt know. You would think as a Navy Seal, he would be a decent guy. But maybe not.
Liz, what do you think of Martin at this point? I donโt like him. He seems to have no ethical standards when it comes to his clients and is always representing the wrong people. He also annoyed me yesterday when he was enabling drew by telling him that the heart wants what it wants.
I’m so disappointed in him. I guess he’s the town’s new ambulance chaser.
Yep. Itโs really sad and pathetic. I expect more from Lauraโs brother.
Martin first came on the show to represent Nelle. I donโt think his ethical standards for his clients have ever been high.
You make an excellent point. I guess it was just wishful thinking that Martin had some ethics.
Rest In Peace Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson)!
::Sigh::
Now, back to the Weekly Shenanigans.
Omg this BS with Willow claiming Sole Proxy and EwDrewQ encouraging this Foolish Behavior?
Where’s Diane when we need her?
Besides, Portia Don’t Care about Federal Laws and Hospital Rules!!
She makes her own!!!
~~~~
Meanwhile, back at the FoxGlove Mystery Theater…
Feeling for a Pulse on Mikey with Gloves on through about Nineteen Layers of Gauze???
What’s missing here?
A STETHOSCOPE!!!!
Friggin’ Idiots.
Speaking of Idiots, why can’t Drew Spontaneously Combust?
Standing behind Brillo like some sort of Svengali, barking orders?
I really wish Wile E. Coyote would appear and drop an Anvil on Drew’s Head.
I know, it never worked in the cartoon, either.
~~~~
Omg, Tracy mentioned Monica’s Ill Health and how she doesn’t want to leave her room.
Ironic?
Her whole discussion with Anti-Stella about Monica and her battles, how Monica holds the family together.
It’s as if they’re getting ready to say Good-Bye.
I guess TBTB knew LC was Not Long For This World??
Rest Well, Fair Leslie.
::Sigh::
~~~~
Speaking of Idiots.
Cody Bell.
Nuff Said.
Don’t listen to Tracy re: Drew’s $55K Bribe.
Why did he go to the Yoga Place, anyway?
He does Yoga?
Nope.
He was looking for Kai? Trina?
Nope.
He deserves to lose the money that EwDrewQ paid him.
Idiot.
Oh, now he’s gonna get Brad back into trouble as well.
Idiots!!
~~~
I really wish Nina would let Willow know the FULL TRUTH about Ninny and EwDrew.
Alas, Drew will likely “confess” to Willow, making it Ninny’s Fault.
Willow doesn’t have “Relationships”, she has “Hostage Situations”.
Over and Over and Over.
I thought Ninny was gonna Vomit after Brillo hugged EwDrewQ and said “I don’t know what I’d do Without You!”
Well, for one thing, you wouldn’t be getting a Divorce, you TWIT!!!!
Idiots.
~~~~
So how come Greasy, er, Lucky is in the Opening Credits and NuLulu STILL isn’t?
So, evidently Mikey is going to be sent away to the Clinic that Fixed Ava’s Face?
Or, rather, the Current Version in Germany.
Then Mikey will have a New Face several months down the road?
Even though his face wasn’t burnt, but, whatever.
Unless CD decides to return.
We’ll see.
~~~
Have I mentioned lately how much I adore Tracy?
Okay, so she’s causing trouble, again, but can you blame her?
I sure don’t.
Sure, Willow is wrong for having her head Firmly Inserted Up EwDrewQ’s Rectum, but Drew is the Master Manipulator.
Or is it Master Baiter (as in “Don’t Take The Bait!”)
When she told Sonny, “Drew is the ENEMY!!! Handle him ACCORDINGLY!!”
I shouted YES! at my screen.
~~~
Why DOES Smiley Cyrus still have a job at that “Fancy Restaurant”?
He’s so Well-Hated.
So now Liz is going to try to Charm Smiley into a confession?
Yeah, right, that’ll work.
Then Greasy can happen along and save her.
Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
~~~
Speaking of Well-Hated.
Every time Drew starts Pontificating to someone, be it Ninny, or Alexis or Whoever, I can’t help but picture him as one of those Wavy Tube Men at a Used Car Lot.
Thanks, Scrimmage, for pointing that out.
Now I can’t Unsee that, and it cracks me up.
::Off Topic::
Why has Becky Herbst never played Jackie Kennedy?
She really does bear a Striking Resemblance,
Especially when she does her hair in a Dark Bob.
Anyway.
~~~
Okay, keep Smiley Cyrus away from Kai!
And Trina, too!!
They’re not even dating, but you know she’s hot for him.
And if Smiley injects him with Digitalis while No One is Looking… (are they ever??)
I really can’t stand another round of Trina’s Wailing, Whining, and Gnashing of Teeth!!
I omitted “Weeping” because Trina Cannot Shed Real Tears.
Good thing Gio seems to like Emma.
I don’t particularly care for Emma II the Sequel myself, but, whatever.
The Writers Hate Us and We Can’t Have Nice Things.
So there’s that.
While I’m glad that Jason respected Tracy’s (and Monica’s) Wishes to leave the Kids at the Q’s, this whole thing with Brillo not allowing Mikey’s Family to be with him is Ridiculous.
And Ninny being the Voice of Reason??
That Maternal Saliva can be Very Healing.
There was a time that the show consulted with medical professionals to give the show some reality, but I think those days are long gone — along with the stethoscopes they had onset.
I’d love to see Becky cast as Jackie O!!!
I feel like I must be the only viewer who thinks that Tracy is acting ridiculous and selfish. Wiley and Amelia should be with their mother, not being little pawns who make Monica feel secure or Tracy get revenge or whatever. As a mother, I know that little children need their loving parents, not big houses or sick great grandmas. Children are people with big needs for love and consistency. How anyone can feel supportive of Tracy for her actions is beyond me.
She is acting ridiculous, but I don’t mind because Willow and Drew are so much worse. I don’t want to see kids put in that situation, even on a soap, so I will root for Tracy — and Alexis, if she tries to file for custody of Scout — as long as Willow and Drew put themselves first over the kids.
Iโm with Liz Masters on this one. Traci has no right to interfere in this custody issue & sheโs committed kidnapping by moving the children. If this were real life, I would think it was awful. But I find the idea of Willow having full custody of those kids while she continues her affair with Drew so repugnant, I donโt care. Willow was the one who disrupted their security by breaking up their home. She wasnโt thinking of their security when she woke them up to run off to her mothersโthat was all about getting a leg up in a custody fight. She wasnโt thinking about how disruptive it was for a child to be without a parent when she left Amelia at Ninaโs(with who I donโt know because Nina was at work with Curtis) to follow Drew to DC. I want there to be consequences for Willow. She shouldnโt get everything she wants
You know what I would loveโI would love for them to discover there was a paperwork error & Willowโs adoption of Wiley didnโt go through. Then they could give him back to Lucas (but not Brad). Ha!
Again, I would think thatโs terrible if it were a real kid. But a fictional one, Iโm ok with it
Tracy is acting ridiculous, but she is so entertaining!!
Isn’t that always the case?! It’s the characters we’ve loved for so long acting ridiculously that is always the most fun.
