Does it feel a bit like up is down in Port Charles lately? Why do the bad guys keep winning? Soapy drama is great but is it worth it when there’s no reckoning for dirty deeds? How long can Drew hide is true nature from Willow? Should Sonny sell to Sidwell or find another way out? What happens when Lois’ secret is finally exposed? Let’s discuss in a new General Hospital commentary for the week ending May 16, 2025.
Folks, soaps are my guilty pleasure. I love watching characters face challenges and navigate difficult situations — often poorly — because good ultimately prevails. Soap justice may take a bit, but karma comes for everyone eventually. Or at least, it used to.
War of the Corinthoses
Six months ago, Willow and Michael’s marriage blew up when he found out that Willow had done more than kiss Drew. She had sexual relations with his uncle on the nursery room floor. Worse, it was all caught on a nanny cam for him to see. Ouch. There’s no coming back from that, so off to divorce court they went.
From the start, Michael tried to do what was best for the kids. He didn’t want Wiley and Amelia to suffer the way that he and Morgan had whenever Carly and Sonny broke up. Michael hoped for an amicable divorce for the sake of the children. On the other hand, Willow has been her own worst enemy from the jump because she keeps taking bad advice from Drew.
Willow sees herself through the lens of victim. Her only sin? Falling in love, and she just can’t understand why she should be punished for that.
The blame game
Some are quick to defend Willow by pointing out that Michael slept with Sasha and got her pregnant, as if that somehow equates to a months-long emotional affair. Don’t get me wrong. Both are wrong, but a drunken ONS during moment of weakness isn’t the same as months of lying and betrayal. The latter is intentional and insidious.
Willow likes to further mitigate the damage and pain she caused her soon-to-be ex-husband by insisting that there had been problems in the marriage for a while. Yes, there had been problems. She had kept her cancer a secret and almost left Wiley without a mother and Michael a widower. She had decided — without any evidence — that Michael wouldn’t support her choices.
Michael also kept secrets. He threatened to expose Nina’s role in tipping off the SEC to Drew and Carly’s insider trading unless Nina kept her distance from Willow and the kids. Nina agreed, but she still found plenty of ways to work around that rule. However, Willow and Michael worked through all of that, and they seemed happy and in a good place until Willow smacked lips with Drew on the 4th of July.
That was the first sign of trouble that I saw.
Corinthos vs Corinthos
I used to love Willow, but this relationship with Drew has ruined her for me. For some reason, she has an all-or-nothing philosophy about the kids. She acknowledges that Michael is a good father, but she insists that the kids belong with her. No mention of shared custody these days, which I find disturbing. Even during her conversation with Isaiah, she seemed closed to the idea. She talked about what a great father Drew was and how they were building a new family together. She seemed to have this idea that she should be allowed to dole out visits to Michael when she deemed appropriate simply because she is the children’s mother.
Willow — and Drew — don’t seem to realize how ridiculous and unreasonable they sound. Michael was the wronged party. He’s also a sympathetic character because he’d been gravely injured and underwent extensive and painful medical treatments. Treatments that Willow and Drew intend to weaponize by accusing Michael of abandoning his children. What? Any decent judge would see right through that disgusting ploy and rule against them just on principle.
Michael didn’t move to Germany. He has lived in Port Charles his entire life and he has filed for custody, which a father who had abandoned his children wouldn’t do. Also, since when do video chats with the kids not count unless they go through Willow? Willow sounded like an idiot when she told Ric that Michael only talked to the kids when Kristina was around. Newsflash Willow, that’s not proof of Michael deserting his children; it’s his prerogative.
Karma is long overdue on General Hospital
I’m so tired of Drew and Willow winning. It’s been nearly a year since that first kiss and there haven’t been any real repercussions or a reckoning for either of them. Drew is a diabolical shell of the honorable man he once was, and Willow is straight up delusional.
More than anything, I want this madness to end. This is not entertaining. It’s painful and frustrating to watch. Willow comes off as weak, gullible and selfish. Her kindness is limited to those who agree with her and support her poor choices. She is doing to her children what Harmony did to her. Taking them away from their father and handing them to a man who doesn’t care about them.
It’s long past time for Drew to pay for his sins. If Willow wants to stand by her man, then she can do it without Wiley and Amelia. They shouldn’t be pawns in Drew’s treacherous plan. More than ever, I’m convinced that Drew doesn’t love Willow. She’s merely a means to an end.
Time for Kristina to pay for her sins too
I’m adding the General Hospital writers to the list of people who coddle Kristina.
I don’t care how regretful Kristina is about cutting the brake lines of Ric’s car. It means nothing if she doesn’t go to the police and own up to what she did. All the heart-to-heart talks with her loved ones and proclamations that she’s ready to move forward means nothing. Talk is cheap, especially with Kristina. I’m not fooled one bit. Kristina remains a ticking time bomb.
This is a pattern with Kristina. She does something terrible, gets busted, expresses remorse, and then moves on as if everything is better. It usually is because Sonny and Alexis clean up the mess and make excuses for her destructive choices. Kristina has never taken full responsibility for the damage she causes, so ends up repeating history.
What happens when she learns that Ric and Ava have been blackmailing Alexis? Nothing good, that’s what.
General Hospital’s Liars Club
Poor Elizabeth. Both of her exes are liars. With Ric, it’s to be expected, but with Lucky…it’s the last straw.
This week, Lucky tracked down Ric’s car to the same storage unit that Spinelli pointed Alexis to. Too bad for them, Ava and Ric were one step ahead. All that was left was a puddle of brake fluid and a note. With a little prodding, Alexis spilled the beans to Lucky about Ric and Ava’s blackmail.
I’m pissed. Elizabeth deserves better, and frankly so does Aiden. Lucky is choosing to protect Kristina over being honest with Elizabeth. The woman he claims to love. Why? It’s such a betrayal of trust and makes zero sense.
My only consolation was the conversation that Elizabeth had with Lucas. She seemed to recognize that she and Lucky are two fundamentally different people. He likes to ride off into the sunset in search of adventure (hence Luke gave Lucky the nickname “Cowboy”) while Elizabeth prefers being settled in Port Charles surrounded by cherished friends and family. Elizabeth will be hurt, but her heart won’t be broken and for that I’m glad.
Now that Isaiah is single again, maybe sparks will fly between him and Elizabeth at work.
The intern war
Meanwhile, at Port Charles University, things are heating up with Professor Dalton. After handing in a corrupted file, Dalton decided to pass on Emma and offer Josslyn the summer internship. Emma did not take the news well. She was livid and felt betrayed by Josslyn. All justified, but the devastation seemed a bit misplaced. I know that Emma wanted to get evidence to prove that Dalton is engaged in animal testing on cats and dogs, but why not just try to enlist Josslyn to help?
Emma acted like the class itself, and therefore the position, was important to her personally. It’s not. At least, that was the impression I had when Emma told Joss why she needed to land the internship. I’ll give Emma a pass on being a drama queen though. She’s young and a passionate activist. Emma is one of the bright spots on General Hospital right now.
Same dance, different partner
My hope is that Gio will help put things in perspective for Emma, and that Emma and Joss will join forces to take down Dalton. Until then, Joss will be stuck two-stepping with Vaughn to the soap trope, “I hate you, but I’m also attracted to you.” Boring and predictable. We saw this same dance with Dex, whom Vaughn bears a striking resemblance to. Joss definitely has a type.
General Hospital desperately needs some romance. The only relationships that seem to last these days are the toxic ones — with one or two exceptions. I want the writers to wow me. To hook me with an unexpected romance between two characters I can root for and who make each other better people. I had high hopes for Lucky and Elizabeth, but we clearly can’t have nice things.
Happy birthday, Gio
During Friday’s episode, Brook Lynn mentioned that it was her son’s birthday. However, Gio told Donna that his birthday was June 4, which begs the question, why the deception? Was the lie about Gio’s birthday another way to keep Brook Lynn from figuring out that Lois had kept Gio in the family?
I feel terrible for Gio. Everything about his life has been a lie right down to his birthday. It’s wrong, and I’m getting to the point that I don’t care how the secret comes out. I just want it out. Not for Dante, but for Gio. Love doesn’t change. Camille will always be the mother who raised him for the first10 years of his life, but he deserves to know who he is. He’s not a child.
I thought Cody’s conversation with Lulu was particularly poignant because Cody spoke as someone who has stood in Gio’s shoes. I found myself agreeing with everything Cody said.
Father doesn’t always know best
I know that Dante is hurting, but I really hate how pigheaded he’s being about Gio. What I hate more than that is the likelihood that Dante will only have a change of heart once he learns Gio is his son. Poor kid. It shouldn’t take that for Dante to accept that Rocco and Rocco alone is responsible for making poor choices that night. I love that Rocco recognizes that at least. Gio will have Rocco to talk to and of course Emma. ๐
An end of an era for General Hospital?
To my surprise, Sonny actually considered Sidwell’s offer to buy the piers. Sonny thought it might his off ramp to retirement and a great way to get his good friend Laura out of hot water with her constituents. Jason immediately raised concerns, including the fact that Sidwell is still a very bad guy. Laura had similar objections and implored Sonny to save Port Charles from Sidwell’s evil ways.
As much as I would love to see Sonny and Jason retire, I do not want to see the rise of Sidwell. If the mob storylines must continue, then I would rather see a new generation of mobsters with a heart of gold be ushered in. Honestly, Brennan would make a perfect successor. He’s a wonderful mix of bad and good.
General Hospital Quick Takes
I cracked up when Josslyn locked Dalton’s office door and slid on a pair of gloves to search his office. Girl, you’re his intern. That’s unnecessary. Equally lame was the way both Joss and Vaughn swept the office with their little spy devices. A passing glance would have been more thorough.
Lulu could save herself a lot of time and energy by simply getting a DNA sample from Gio and Dante to run a paternity test. She needs to talk to Felicia. Stat.
Why is Willow still wearing Lila’s ring? Shouldn’t she take it off now that she’s shacked up with Drew? I doubt Lila would want her wearing it.
Last week, news broke that Denise Alexander had passed away. I felt a bit blindsided. My first thought, “It’s too soon.” We’d just lost Leslie Charleson (Monica Quartermaine), and now this. It broke my heart. We have some sad days ahead of us on General Hospital. I expect a proper tribute to Lesley after we say goodbye to Monica. Until then, my dear friend Dan J Kroll wrote a beautiful tribute to Denise, which included a podcast that both Denise and her television daughter Genie Francis appeared on. Godspeed Denise! We love you.
What General Hospital viewers are saying
I always love getting to read what viewers think of not only the column but also the show. So please join in the discussion in the Comments section below the column. Since I am also active on quite a few social media platforms, I also share viewer feedback and comments from there.
Has Kristina seen the error of her ways?
“…Kristina has a serious mental health problem: she is a sociopath. That she could stand there so calmly and made herself the victim while lying shows IMHO that she has more than impulsiveness โ she has serious issues. Alexis is conning herself that Krissy has changed โ she just put her chameleon suit of victimhood on and Alexis fell for it.” — Humor me
Portia’s predicament with Drew
Carly’s romance with Brennan
Until next week, happy viewing! If you are a soap hopper and watch Beyond the Gates, be sure to check out Dan J Kroll’s latest My View From Beyond the Gates commentary, Bill and Ted’s Sexcellent Adventure.

I really hate it when the writers ignore obvious reactions from characters. You pointed out that Lulu could simply do a DNA test to find out if Gio Dante and or Brooklyn’s son. She would have easy access to DNA and it’s common thing that happens on general hospital. But here’s another one. Exactly 1 minute after Jason found out that Michael refused to see Willow….
Jason calls a Michael Jason asks Michael why he refused to see Willow. Michael says Willow never came to see me. Jason says Willow came to see you and was told that you refused to see her. Michael replies no one ever told me she was here I would have seen her. Jason goes to Willow and says Willow you lied about saying Michael wouldn’t meet with. Willow says no that’s what the lady at the clinic said. Jason said well nobody told Michael we need to get to the bottom of this. Jason flies to Germany scarce the crap out of the lady at the clinic and the lady admits that she was called and paid off by Drew Cain to tell Willow Michael didn’t want to see her.
This is way too obvious and logical for the writers of GH these days.
I absolutely agree with you, but the way they’re writing Willow these days, there is no way she would be allowed to believe Jason. The only thing she’ll believe bad about that man will be something she sees with her own eyes he can’t explain away, like the video spilling Nina and Drew’s secret. And maybe, maybe if Michael was the one to tell her that he had no idea she was there and he asked, say, Spinelli, to look into it and here is the proof Drew paid off the staff to lie.
What was really ridiculous is that Willow just left the clinic, no questions asked. If you flew all the way to Germany and were told that Michael didn’t want to see you, wouldn’t your first call be to Jason? Better yet, it makes no sense to fly there unannounced. Who does that? Wouldn’t any one with half a brain, let Michael know that they were coming?
Not to mention that had her visit to the clinic not just been a contrived plot point, Willow should have brought the kids to see Michael. If he’s been video chatting with them all along, then he can’t be too scary looking. Carly shouldn’t be keeping the court date secret from Michael. He’s got a legitimate reason to not be physically in court, but they can arrange tele-hearings now.
Braedyn Bruner looks so much like Jason Thompson when she’s in a fit! I have fully accepted her as the Emma recast, even though I think that she embodies some of her parents’ worst flaws. I am not loving the execution of this storyline. As a scientist, Emma’s behavior comes off as reactionary without context to Dalton’s research. Animal testing should be cruelty-free and regulated, but there are times when it’s incredibly necessary. They keep talking about cats and dogs, but those animals are less useful to an environmental scientist; unlike say worms, frogs, fish, mice/rats, etc. So, is this about cute & cuddly or the rights of living creatures? Public research funding is highly regulated, so is Dalton receiving private funding from dark money organizations? Is that why the WSB is interested?
I love your column and look forward to reading it every Saturday morning. I agree with you about Willow and Drew. You mentioned you hope Elizabeth and Isaiah get together. I think GH is testing the chemistry between Isaiah and WILLOW. She has been confiding in a sympathetic Isaiah at least twice now. When the truth finally does come out about Drew and she loses her kids, her relationship with Nina, and finally realizes how wrong she’s been, she’ll be looking for a new hero to save her. Enter Isaiah. Willow will batt those eyelashes and cry on his shoulder and he’ll fall for it hook, line and sinker. Off we go again.
Thank you so much! ๐
I really hope GH doesn’t saddle Isaiah with that succubus! She needs to be alone for a while and take responsibility for all the poor choices that led her to get involved with her husband’s uncle.
Willow is no victim. She saw with her own eyes how many people have cut ties with Drew because of the shoddy way he treated them, often betraying them. She saw how he weaponized his dead father and brother to claim a family name that he lost because he seduced his nephew’s wife. She saw how — when his inhibitions were lowered — he turned into a cheater. Remember, Drew invited Jacinda to join him BEFORE the ketamine kicked in. All she had to do was shower him with a few flattering words.
Why hasn’t Willow asked how he ended up partying with a prostitute in the first place?
You are right though. Willow is going to be looking for a hero to save her.
I have to agree with you LM that Drew doesn’t really love Willow. Drew loved Carly until he didn’t and decided that he hated her. Then there’s the hate for Sonny, jason, the Q’s. Where did all that come from?
At best, what Drew loves is having an acolyte. Those papers he had Willow sign re:the kids though do make me wonder if thereโs something more calculating involved. Is he planning to use them? If yes, how? I know this is a soap and not Chekov. Things come up on Gh & never go anywhere sometimes. But why introduce them if theyโre not coming into play somewhere.
I think Drewโs anger at Jason and his family is the same disease AJ hadโitโs driven him crazy that everyone likes Jason better than him. Billy Miller Drew might have had a case in that regard. He was a better family man than Jason. Current incarnation of Drew is too self serving to be a family man. And Jason has stepped up and returned to the fold
I donโt get the fixation on Sonny. I thought it was an indirect way to get at Jason, but Jason doesnโt care about the piers.
Those papers were significant. They are going to come back to haunt Willow.
Joss gets 2-3 weeks of training and is a WSB agent. She enrolls in Dalton’s class late in the semester , does all the course work and a project in 2-3 weeks and gets the summer assitant job. Oh yeah, that’s believable!
Did anyone else crack up whan Brennan called her ” Agent Jacks”?
So Sonny selling two piers is supposed to get him out of the “business”. For decades we’ve been told that Sonny has the biggest crime syndicate on the Eastern Seaboard, but sell the two piers.. yeah.. that’s the ticket.
Those of us who have been watching GH for years will remember that Sonny once sent Roy DeLuca down to Miami to run his “businesses” down in that part of the country. There’s also Sonny’s island, casino and Puerto Rico operations. The idea that the piers in PC are central to running a crime organization doesn’t hold up anymore. Plus, Port Charles has a large water front and there are plenty of piers that Sonny doesn’t own, not to mention that there is no shortage of water front property on the Great Lakes.
How exactly can Lulu access all of the birth records for San Francisco and Los Angeles from 20 plus years ago? Any records that old would be archived. Even if you were trying to access you’re own medical records it would not be that easy. Try it some time.
Pingback: My View From Beyond the Gates: Bill and Tedโs Sexcellent Adventure
What the hell was the point of bringing lucky back? I am a fan of lucky and Elizabeth together, so itโs disappointing that heโs choosing Kristina over Elizabeth.
Luckyโs return has been disappointing. JJ isnโt being used very well. The plot with Sidwell wasnโt compelling, the should I stay or should I go phase was irritating. I was never a Liz and Lucky fan, but I found their burgeoning romance surprisingly tolerable. Then this weird insertion of the Kristina thing. I canโt figure out how Elizabeth will react (or should react) when she finds out the truth, but I do know this: Lucky is doing what his father would do. Luke, Sonny, Jason, covering up is their thing. If Lucky is going to be imitating Luke at every turn, Elizabeth is not going to be getting the stable family man she wants.
You know who is prioritizing family now? Jason. I was never a Liason fan either (if you think the common denominator is I didnโt like Elizabeth, you would be correct. I like her better now). But if Iโm Elizabeth & looking at my old relationships for future romance, Jason would be looking pretty good right now. The two reasons that never worked out were Sam & the mob. Now, Sam is gone & Jason wants out of the mob
The Jason Sasha thing has stalled and I donโt think Jason has had a particularly good story since he got back either. So maybe the show should switch things up. Pair Jason with Elizabeth. Lucky can spend his time bonding with his son and riding to the rescue of whatever person happens to be in trouble
Kathie, totally agree that they are wasting JJ and Steve Burton who are capable of carrying much more riveting storylines!
I should add that Rebecca Herbst is also capable of much better storylines
Liz, everything you said about the drew/willow situation was spot on as usual. What do you think about ricโs involvement? I think itโs gross that he wants to take Michaelโs kids away from him just to stick it to Sonny. Iโm also pissed at Nina for enabling willow and Curtis for not pointing out that all of this could have been avoided if Nina had just told willow the truth.
The other extraordinarily stupid part of this story is how Nina hires Martin – and now Carly is directing Diane when the litigants are Willow and Michael. The only people who can direct the attorneys are the litigants. Unless they have a power of attorney, yada yada yada….which hasn’t happened. An attorney isn’t going to act on a mothers decision for her son. Or for her daughter. It is just so absurd I can’t even watch it.
I think it’s ridiculous that Willow thinks she has a leg to stand on in court when it comes to seeking sole custody of the kids when Michael is receiving treatment in Germany.
Nina and Carly are both acting like Willow and Michael are minor children instead of grown adults. It’s frustrating because in real life no lawyer would be talking to Carly about the case on Michael’s behalf without Michael’s permission.
Ric taking the case is about the only thing that makes sense. As he said, he has no love Michael because of Michael’s connection to both Sonny and Jason.
My Opinions, jotted down as I viewed.
Well it looks as if Agent Barbie will be fulfilling Droopy Dawg Brennan’s Mission to take down the Dastardly Professor Dalton.
But the Anti-Emma wanted to do that!!
Gadzooks.
Say, what’s that “Device” that Barbie pulled out of her SuperSpy Bag?
And why doesn’t Agent Ken, I mean “NotJagger Jingelheimer Schmidt II the Sequel”, look like a Maintenance Dude?
Sure, he and Joss are doing “Maintenance” in Dalton’s Office.
I’m sure he’ll be checking Agent Barbie’s Oil and Rotating her Tires before June!

This whole thing with Sonny and Sidwell and The Docks Blah Blah Blah is Tedious.
Where’s Madame Wu when you need her??
Why are all the Interesting Characters in Hiding?

So it’s BLQ’s “Long Lost Son’s Birthday”.
Is it also Gio’s Birthday?
Suddenly he’s 22? Does that add up?
Does anyone care?
And why did Cooty look surprised when ShrewLu said to him , “BrookLynn gave Birth to Dante’s Baby. A Boy. And then she gave him up.”
This is News??
I thought EVERYONE (except Dante) knew this.
Is Lucky, the Ex- Cop, going to figure out that the Junkyard Dude was lying when he said Ric’s car was sent to the Compactor?
Of course.
He’ll continue to protect NutKrissy, though who knows why.
Now Lucky Knows that Alexis Knows and Ric Knows that Alexis Knows that NutKrissy Cut the Brakes.
Dante seems like he’s starting to question Krissy’s story in his mind.
Only NutKrissy thinks she’s Innocent and Not Krazy because she Feels Regret.
Not Remorse, mind you, just Regret.

Geez.
Well, other than feeling sorry for Rocco and Charlotte (wherever she may be) I’m now absolutely fine if Dante and Lulu get back together because they completely deserve each other. They are both smug, self-satisfied, hypocritical, and insufferable human beings. Lulu doesn’t want to expose “the secret” out of any real concern for Dante (and definitely not for Gio.) Her repeated sh*% eating grin expressions and gleeful eyes whenever she talks about how SURE she is that Brook Lynn is lying and how she will “decide” if and when to tell Dante make it clear that her only real motive is to put Brook Lyn through public humiliation and heartbreak. And she’s lied to Laura and Tracy’s faces that she would drop it and stop interfering and then 5 minutes later has roped town crier Cody into the whole thing, making it clear that she’ll do whatever she wants. Who’s the liar now Lulu?
Her son just nearly died and she spent about 5 minutes concerned about that. We haven’t seen or heard her speak about her daughter in ages, after all the hysteria and poor choices she insisted on making to get her back. How about she tend to her own kids and stop butting into Brook Lyn’s?
And Dante, ugh. Does Gio really need this irrational, hair-trigger tempered bully in his life? Gio is not Cody, who grew up abused and feeling like he never belonged or had a real family. This is someone who grew up not knowing he was adopted and ADORED and had a close bond with his mother AND the Cerullos who raised him after she died (whether or not that was a good choice by others, to not tell him he was adopted, it’s his reality.) He had strong male figures in his life through that family and Sonny, and is a happy, responsible, loving and beloved guy. He is whole, as is, and isn’t trying to fill some missing piece of himself.
It should give anyone, let alone someone who found out through criminal happenstance and is only acting out of spite like Lulu is, real pause to play God in Gio’s life and to blow up everything he knows like that.
Liz, in the theme of your column this week I’m adding Dante and Lulu to the bad guys who should stop winning!
Oops, didn’t mean to make my long post a reply! ๐
I Totally Agree with everything you wrote!!
I know most of you won’t agree with me.
I don’t see the problem with Lulu wanting Dante to know he has a child. BLQ has had 20+ years to tell him.
I don’t blame Lulu for wanting to tell Dante he has a child. He has a right to know, IMO. My problem is that it’s not Lulu’s business to be telling him, especially since a part of her motivation is spite. I am adopted, my birth mother is my mother’s youngest sister, and I’ve always known I was adopted, but not about my birth mother until I was in my 30s, so maybe that colours my opinions. ๐
BLQ is telling more people than Lulu. BLQ better tell Dante fast. lol
Haha, funny.
But technically, Brooklyn told two people & Lulu told two people. Unless Iโm forgetting someone
Tracy, Chase, of course Lois and grandma already knew. Cody knew she was prego. Not sure about Maxie.
I think this is like when people didnโt like Robin spilling Carlyโs paternity secretsโitโs not that she told, itโs why & how she did it. If Lulu thinks she has an obligation to Dante & Rocco, thatโs one thing. If sheโs trying to ingratiate herself with Dante, well thatโs manipulative but maybe still OK. But if sheโs just trying to spite Brooklynโwho she is very hostile toโthatโs not a good reason to interfere. And I donโt think it will go the way she thinks it will. Basically, the truth is going to ensure that Dante & Brooklyn are always connected through Gio. She had better learn to get along with Brooklyn or she will find herself on the sidelines while Rocco, Dante, Gio and Brooklyn bond
As for the how part, if Lulu handles it in her typical reckless and thoughtless way, thatโs not going to go how she wants it to either
Good point about Lulu’s personality. She has always been so self righteous and thinks she’s special because she’s a “Spencer”, whatever that’s supposed to mean. I might feel differently about the whole thing if it was anyone else but Lulu who was doing this, but again I just don’t like anything about this story since it is an old, tired, soap trope and ignores or rewrites so much GH history.
I get why Jason doesn’t want Sonny to sell the piers to Sidwell. However, whenever Jason and Sonny talk about getting out of the life, they always stay in it because they can’t find anybody that they believe is suitable to take over, and that can prevent one of the other mob families or other bad elements from doing business in their town. At this point, if they can’t find anybody to take over, that clearly means they’re going to have to stay in it and are not serious about getting out. If they were truly serious about it, they would have to accept the fact that somebody is going to take over that they may not like. Their best bet is to choose the lesser evil out of all of the options. If that’s not Sidwell, fine. Figure out who it is and give them that control, so that they can prevent worse people like Sidwell and the other families from taking a foothold in Port Charles
Hey, a thought about the incredibly boring Kai surgery story…Dreeeww was so insistent about it being done, abd by his hand-picked (and never seen) surgeon…is this a weird end-around to Kai secretly having some mind-control done to him to turn him into a psychological and/or physical weapon against Curtis/Portia/Michael (with Trina as collateral damage?)
Straining to understand why they’re spending sooo much time on this yawn of a storyline while Trina is just treated as a bystander and she and other much more interesting characters get scant screen time!
Now, that would make an interesting story! Sadly, I don’t think that’s where it’s headed. I’m really not sure what is going on with the pairing. Safe, healthy relationships tend not to last on soaps unless the characters are being backburnered — ๐ Mac/Felicia, Maxie/Spinelli…
What is Portia doing? She has done so many stupid things that I can’t even keep up. I for one never understood why she thought her plan with Nina involving Jacinda was a good idea because it only helped Nina, it did not help her nor was it ever going to. And now as we see, it has put her in a worse position and Nina still has plausible deniability.
Earlier this year I thought Drew could care less about Willow and was just doing all this to somehow stick it to Nina, and probably didn’t think Willow would fold so easily. Although I think that might still be true, I don’t understand his gripe with everyone else. As a sidenote, did Drew or anyone else, ever find out that it was Cyrus who had him attacked in prison? I feel like if we are trying to figure when his behavior completely changed it was then even though some of his choices before then (ie going to prison for Carly) had already been questionable.
I have always been very neutral to the Lulu character. I have never hated or loved her, but I thought her and Dante have always had this self righteousness to them. Dante’s had gone away for the most part these past few years and I’m willing to let his go because they are just building unnecessary angst for when the truth comes out about Gio. Lulu is only doing this stick it to BLQ, but keeps hiding behind Dante needs to know the truth. Like everyone else has said, this will completely blow up in her face when she realizes that 1) Brook Lynn doesn’t know anything, and 2) so she is not going to get the pat on the back for exposing the truth that she seems to be expecting.
Steve Burton got married!!!!!!!!!
Good for him. Iโm glad heโs happy
