Ridge and Brooke’s journey on The Bold and the Beautiful has never been easy. But now, their melody of love has hit a few blue notes. Can they work things out or will Brooke end up simply red with anger?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Last week on The Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge Forrester proved yet again why he doesn\u2019t deserve his Logan. One would think that, after all the times he has misjudged Brooke Logan and her intentions, he\u2019d finally understand where her loyalties lie and what she\u2019s truly capable of\u2014even when the evidence appears to say otherwise. Instead, it\u2019s Taylor whom he claims to know better than anyone, anticipating that she\u2019ll always be his doormat anytime Brooke seems to disappoint him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I watched Ridge rant and rave about Brooke\u2019s so-called betrayal, I heard tiny violins playing in my mind. The tune was familiar, and I could hear the lyrics that define Brooke and Ridge\u2019s current dilemma. If it were Brooke speaking to Ridge, it might go something like this<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNow all the things that we\u2019ve been through,
You should understand me like I understand you.
I know the difference between right and wrong,
And I ain\u2019t gonna do nothing to break up our happy home\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You don’t understand me, Ridge<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The truth is, Ridge doesn\u2019t understand Brooke at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke has spent her life understanding Ridge, looking out for him, and taking care of him and his family. Ridge, on the other hand, seizes every opportunity to see the worst in Brooke and run away from her. I won\u2019t recount every single time he\u2019s done this, but there are a few highlights serve as reminders of Ridge\u2019s patterns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you remember when Ridge walked out on Brooke because his son swore they\u2019d gotten busy on Berry Island? Where did he go? Straight into Taylor\u2019s arms. Then there was the time that Ridge left Brooke over the Thomas and Hope entanglement. Where did he land? In Shauna\u2019s arms. Most recently, when Ridge believed the CPS call lie, he hiked up Taylor\u2019s skirt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seeing a pattern here? It\u2019s as if Ridge wants to see the worst in Brooke just so he can sample another woman. Nine times out of ten, he ends up at the altar with one of these women until the truth drags him back to his so-called \u201cdestiny.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But there\u2019s another pattern at play\u2014Taylor\u2019s compulsive need to become the tissue Ridge blows his nose with whenever he misjudges Brooke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s time for Brooke to stop forgiving Ridge and taking him back. Instead, she needs to realize that if Ridge doesn\u2019t know her by now, he never will. Quite frankly, Taylor might actually be a better fit for Ridge than Brooke. Ridge needs to ask himself why he chooses, time and time again, to believe the worst about Brooke, even though she\u2019s consistently vindicated. He also needs to figure out how he so easily “destiny-hops” at the slightest hint of Brooke failing him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two sides of the same Taylor made coin<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ridge and Taylor are two sides of the same The Bold and the Beautiful coin. They both jump to the worst conclusions with the flimsiest evidence. Taylor didn\u2019t even get a second opinion about her supposed terminal illness, and Ridge immediately assumed \u201cpower-hungry\u201d Brooke betrayed him\u2014even though she was the one who warned him about the takeover in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea that Brooke is out for power is nonsensical. It\u2019s laughable how Ridge soaked up Steffy\u2019s words about Brooke accepting the takeover because she got to be CEO. This, despite the fact that Brooke refused an executive position months ago to avoid threatening Steffy. At the very least, Ridge owed Brooke a conversation\u2014an opportunity to explain if there was more to her announcement. But Ridge didn\u2019t ask because he didn\u2019t want to know. He wanted just enough information to justify stringing Taylor along\u2014again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this point, Ridge might as well be charged with mental abuse. He knows Taylor is as obsessed with him as Thomas is with Hope, and Ridge is as guilty of using Taylor as he claims Hope is of using Thomas. Remember when Taylor thought she was dying of a broken heart\u2014a heart shattered by Ridge? And what did Ridge do? He “shocked her chakras” and went right back to playing with her newly mended heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, Brooke was running on no cylinders if she really thought her press announcement would not reach Ridge at SnapChat speed, I will also add that her plan to convince Carter to relinquish power is a little bit naive. She might also be taking advantage just a little bit by making sure Hope got her failing line back, but she still has Ridge\u2019s best interests at heart. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is it time to throw destiny off a #Bridge?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Personally, I\u2019ve had enough of Brooke fighting for a man and a family that always believes the worst in her. Brooke and Ridge once had a love song with the lyrics, \u201cmaking destiny appear.\u201d For the first time in my history with this show, I wish destiny would disappear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
