Is Trina’s stalker about to be revealed — or have we already met them? Britt turned the page on Jason, but her one-night stand has decided to stay put in Port Charles. Will Britt’s joy turn to misery when he seeks her out again? A General Hospital commentary for the week ending October 23, 2026.

It was a busy week on General Hospital as Molly received a tempting job offer, Brook Lynn and Chase flew to the Dominican Republic to end their marriage, Britt met a stranger at the Brown Dog Saloon, and Trina realized that she had an obsessed fan who had invaded her privacy. Let’s kick things off there.

I’m Your Number One Fan

During Monday’s show (October 19), we learned that things were not as they seemed with Quinn (Jequan Jackson). He did take Trina to a place that was obviously staged for a romantic night, but he did it for his good old pal, Kai. Kai was supposed to have been waiting there, but he’d been running late. Did the writers pull a fast one on us? I don’t know. Just because it turned out that Quinn was giving Kai an assist doesn’t rule Quinn out as the stalker. It could still be him, but it probably isn’t. While Quinn found Trina stranded and ferried her to Kai’s romantic rendezvous, the stalker was jamming to Trina’s latest song and admiring their murder board of Trina. Unless Quinn has special powers that we don’t know of, he can’t be in two places at once.

Heather Enters The Chat

Even though I still think something is up with Quinn, there are a few other suspects who have moved up the list. Simon (Grady Eldridge) is one of them, but that seems too obvious and a bit cliché. It’s always the creepy photographer, manager, boss, etc.

We know that Alley Mills is set to reprise her role on General Hospital as Heather Webber in the coming weeks, which makes her a darn good prime suspect. Heather not only has a history of obsessive attachment, like when Franco was a famous artist by day and a serial killer by night, but she also has a connection to Trina that is mired in murder and mayhem… thanks to Heather, Ryan Chamberlain, and their demon-seed Esme Prince.

I’ve never bought the poisoned artificial hip excuse that earned Heather a get-out-of-jail-free card. She was unhinged and homicidal well before she had a hip replacement. Just ask Diana Taylor.

A Longshot and a Twist

There’s also the possibility that Trina’s stalker isn’t as unstable as the writers would have us believe. This week, we learned that someone had bought Wyndemere and Spoon Island out from under Valentin. My first thought was that it was Spencer. I don’t know why, but that is who immediately popped into my head. Once that idea took root, I began to wonder if perhaps Spencer was the one who sent Trina roses and the message that he was her biggest fan. It would certainly put a whole different spin things, wouldn’t it? But wait, what if Spencer was behind Simon’s offer of a recording contract? It would explain that phone call Simon made after he met with Trina and Gio in the beginning and why Simon was so keen to push Kai into the background.

Trina did mention Spencer during a conversation with Emma recently, so there’s that too. We all know what that means on a soap opera. If Spencer is back, does that mean Esme is too? I could definitely see her creating that unsettling shrine and going old-school Heather on Trina.

Misery Loves Company

Meanwhile, Britt has been a bitter Britch for weeks. She’s been mean, short-tempered, and an all-around unpleasant person. Despite that, she was invited for a night out with the General Hospital gang. Unfortunately, Britt and her baggage showed up and promptly ran into Jason. Then she added alcohol to the fuse that had been lit. After Britt chased off the few friends she has with an ugly scene (that had me howling with laughter), she met a handsome stranger (Wil Traval). Mr. Stranger had a sexy Australian accent and an indecent proposal. A night of passion with no strings. Britt happily accepted and the two returned to Metro Court where “Cracker Jack” kept his promise. Four times. Britt walked out of that suite the next morning a new woman.

It was exactly what Britt needed. She stopped off at Eckert’s Bakery on the way to work, bought dozens of assorted donuts, and shared them with the staff at General Hospital to make up for the horrible way she had been treating them since… well, getting her job back for the umpteenth time. Poor Stella was completely unnerved by the change in Britt. But will it last? No. It never does.

A Familiar Stranger Will Come Calling at General Hospital

Too bad for Britt — or maybe not — the man with a gun, which he had stashed in his nightstand, decided to extend his stay in Port Charles. Who is he? I have no idea. All I know is that he goes by the name of “Jude,” which means nothing. Remember when Drew arrived calling himself Jason Morgan? When Jerry Jacks showed up sporting a new face and calling himself James Craig? Jude could be a stranger or someone we know. Only time will tell. But Jax recently taking a solo sailing trip around the world, and the WSB wanting Josslyn at JJE’s helm does raise red flags. Many of us have been speculating that Jerry Jacks is in the wings. Is Jude linked to him? Could Jude be Jerry?

When I mentioned the possibility to Tamilu, she pointed out that Jerry is older than “Jude.” Wil is 46 years old, and Sebastian Roché is 62 years old. Soap kids get SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome) all the time, and they’ve gone the other way too. Both Sonny and Olivia’s had years shaved off their age when Dante was revealed to be their son. It’s less common, but not unheard of.

Hudson’s Secret Accomplice

Not only is Jerry known to keep a gun close at hand at all times, but he’s also Australian. Did he pop into town to meet up with Hudson? Don’t know, but I’m curious to see what Jude’s connection is to Port Charles. One thing is for certain, there are no coincidences on soaps.

Misery’s Child

Next, we have the dissolution of Brook Lynn and Chase’s marriage. The soon-to-be-exes proceeded with their plans to get a divorce. Both want to do what’s best for Phoebe, but their lawyers were more concerned about getting the best deal for their client — and beating their opponent. I don’t know what’s up with Monet, but she seems to always take the path of most resistance. If I were her client, that would give me pause. At every opportunity, Monet escalates things. Ric was only slightly less aggressive. He, at least, was open to reason. To my surprise, Chase and Brook Lynn decided to fly off to the Dominican Republic for a quickie uncomplicated divorce. As much as I applaud that move, I’m salty that it will give Chase a free pass when he ends up in bed with Willow.

To me, Chase will always be a cheater. He’s been having romantic feelings for Willow for months now, and he put her ahead of his wife.

Willow’s Lawsuit

Like I said, I don’t much like Monet’s tactics, but I am happy that she’s representing Willow in the lawsuit against Lulu. Discovery is going to be eye-opening for Monet because her client is guilty. So guilty. First, there are phone records that will connect Willow to Sidwell, the quid pro quos that started right after Drew had a stroke and ended the second he recovered. There’s also the matter of Kai and Trina who have already given Michael sworn affidavits that they were present when Willow shot Drew. If they are called to testify, they will have to tell the truth.

I want this to go to court, and I’m hoping it plays out just like that. Nothing would be sweeter than seeing Chase’s expression as Trina recounts hearing the gunshots and the ringtone on Willow’s phone when Wiley called her. Remember, there are phone records to corroborate that — and a missing tape of Willow on Drew’s street just a few short minutes before he was shot. Chase can’t deny Trina and Kai’s testimony, and the evidence — even if some of it has vanished. He saw that tape with his own eyes.

When that happens, I want Brook Lynn to be free of Chase and living her best life possible with Phoebe.

Daddy Drama

But there’s Hudson. I know that Tamillu thinks he might be misunderstood, but I’m far more skeptical. Women don’t go on the run and live in fear from the father of their unborn child if he’s a good guy. Ethan repeatedly said that Phoebe was better off without her father, and that Phoebe’s father was bad person. I know Ethan, so I believed him when he said those things. That beatdown that Hudson gave Ethan was vicious. A good man, an honorable man, might land a solid punch or two on Ethan to get his point across, but Hudson took it well beyond that.

I’m also uncomfortable with the way Hudson has wormed his way into Brook Lynn’s life. He’s manipulative and sneaky. And it’s downright creepy how he looks at Phoebe. I don’t see love. I see a man weighing his options. Plotting. Hudson is going to assert his parental rights at some point in the future. I pray Phoebe stays with Brook Lynn, but Chase is definitely going to be out of the picture because his marriage to Brook Lynn is over and Hudson doesn’t strike me as the type to care or share.

A Miserable Choice

Molly faced a difficult decision. Move to Chicago and join a prestigious law firm that could eventually lead to a judgeship or remain in Port Charles where she is surrounded by family, friends and has a career as a prosecutor. Ultimately, at least for now, Molly decided to stay in Port Charles. What was the point of all of that? We get Kristina leaving town, although I still find it hilarious that she’s off to medical school despite having the IQ of a turnip, but why make it seem like Molly would be leaving too?

I like Molly and Cody’s relationship. It’s sweet, healthy, and offers a nice change from all the dysfunction of pretty much every other relationship on General Hospital.

But Lucy and Serena Can Go

Folks, if we have to cut two characters, I would rather it be Lucy and Serena. I was shocked to see how many people across my social media platforms agreed with me when I posted that. There were so many who weighed in with their frustration over casting Serena and then throwing her into this absurd storyline. What kind of mother schemes to use her daughter as a honeypot just so Mommy Dearest can get her greedy mitts on some company stock? Who throws their daughter under the bus with casual ease the way that Lucy did when her plot was discovered? I also don’t understand how Serena can love a woman who treats her like a possession.

Lucy is a truly awful person, and I don’t have much respect for Serena either. It feels a bit like Serena cares more about animals than her fellow human beings. It’s pretty obvious that General Hospital’s writers hope to make Jason and Serena a thing, but I just don’t see it. Jason looks at Serena the same way he looks at Josslyn when Josslyn amuses him. I don’t have an issue with age gap romances, but Jason is a retired hit man and mob enforcer. He’s got a teenage son, an older son studying art overseas, and so many big life experiences. Serena is vapid and immature, and a person who naïvely squandered a fortune through a series of poor choices.

Delusional Deception

Whenever I hear Lucy carry on about how she made Deception the success that it is, I want to reach through the screen and slap her. Lucy became a real estate agent because she bankrupted Deception. Maxie is the one who resurrected Deception and steered it to success. Lucy is the one who nearly bankrupted it again when she brought Sidwell onboard.

I’m so over Lucy’s antics. She hasn’t shown any growth in years. Actually, just the opposite. She regresses with each passing day, and every hairbrained scheme that she hatches.

Drew and Willow Need a Time Out Too

I’m all for a good soap villain. Helena Cassadine was one of my favorites. But even the best soap villains have to eventually pay for their shenanigans. Real life might not always work that way, but I could always count on my soaps balancing the scales of justice. Drew spent months locked inside his body. A horrible fate, but a perfect sudsy punishment. Unfortunately, it had no impact on his personality. Since regaining use of his limbs, he’s back to being a despicable person. Meanwhile, Willow has somehow always managed to wiggle out of facing any consequences for the awful things she’s done. And she has done quite a bit.

If General Hospital wants to clean house, there are plenty of unpopular characters who can step off the stage to regroup or rehabilitate. Leave Molly and Cody alone. Most of the feedback that I received about them was positive and echoed my sentiments.

Agent Misery

Now, let’s talk about Josslyn. She is such a miserable person. There’s no joy in her life. She’s all about revenge and throwing stones from her glass house. She rarely spends time with friends, she’s always angry, and she acts like she’s the smartest person in the room. Josslyn is so smug that I find myself rooting for someone — anyone — to knock her down a few dozen pegs.

Brothers In Arms

One of my favorite scenes this week was during Friday’s episode (October 23) when Jason asked Joss what so many of us have wondered over the years. Why does Josslyn hate Sonny but not Jason? Josslyn seemed shocked by the question, but she explained that it was because Jason had saved her life several times over the years, and he stood by Carly when Carly had to take over Sonny’s organization. But I take issue with Josslyn rewriting some of that history.

Josslyn talks as if Sonny had intentionally gone to Nixon Falls. The man had amnesia and Nina had kept the truth about his identity from him for months. Had he known in the beginning that he had a wife and children at home, he would have returned to Port Charles. For months, Sonny had had visions of Carly except he didn’t know it was her because Nina stood in the way. It sucked for Carly, but Sonny fell in love with Nina and he ended up choosing her over Carly and even Michael. But that’s between Carly and Sonny and Michael and Sonny. I also recall Sonny doing everything in his power to keep Josslyn safe from the enemies that came for him and for Jason since she was a baby.

Ironically, the greatest danger that Josslyn faced during her childhood was from her own uncle Jerry Jacks when she was exposed to the deadly biotoxin he unleashed on Port Charles. Yeah, he made sure she got the antidote, but it was a dangerous game to play with her young life.

Collateral Damage

Again, Sonny and Carly’s relationship and failed marriages are between them. They were toxic together, but Carly wasn’t without blame. She did her fair share to contribute to the mess. Beyond that, what bothers me most about Joss’s plan to take down Sonny is how she downplays the impact that it will have on her sisters and her brother. On Gio, Rocco, Wiley, Amelia and yes, even her mother. Carly and Sonny are divorced, but they share a bond that can never be broken.

Josslyn only cares about what she wants, and I hate that. She’s becoming everything that she accuses Sonny of being.

Port Charles Potpourri

Some quick thoughts about other things going on in and around Port Charles.

Be My Valentin

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I do not want to see Anna and Valentin rekindle things. I love what he has with Carly. Both Valentin and Carly are better people together than they have ever been with anyone else. Anna doesn’t need a romance at this point in her life anyway. That woman needs to heal, which I don’t see happening any time soon, especially when she learns that Robert has passed away.

On a side note. I do not want some new stranger to own Spoon Island. The new buyer had better be a Cassadine. Earlier I mentioned Spencer buying it, but I would be perfectly fine if it was Nikolas. Isn’t it time for him to get out of soap jail yet?

Aimless Emma

I know that Emma volunteers at an animal shelter, but isn’t it time that she actually got a job? There hasn’t been any mention of her attending classes recently or any sign that she spends nights studying and doing homework. I would love for her to join the WSB, but that seems unlikely because she has such strong feelings about the agency. However, she needs something to do, especially if she plans to move in with Gio. They are going to have bills to pay.

Schloss and Spätzle

Michael and Jordan are in Baden-Baden, Germany taking in the sights before Jordan has the surgery to remove her scars. I loved that Michael loves spätzle. My absolute favorite German meal is schnitzel and spätzle with gravy. I also enjoyed the mention of both the Altes Schloss zu Hohenbaden and Schloss Lichtenstein. As a child, I recall many day trips to the Black Forest (we lived in Stuttgart) and exploring castles. It was always one of my favorite things to do, and where my love for history was born.

Suspicious Minds

Nothing screams, “I’m guilty” like developing amnesia over a conversation a few weeks earlier. I couldn’t believe that criminal savvy Ava panicked and claimed that she couldn’t remember what she and Brennan discussed before he vanished. It’s not like Brennan is in a position to deny anything that she would say. She could have told Joe that he was asking for decorating advice.

I don’t know what kind of deal Drew intends to strike with Willow, but it I’m certain that it will benefit him not necessarily Ava. Ava better start looking out for herself.

And Then There Were None

During Friday’s episode (October 23) we learned that Aiden recently turned 18, got his GED in secret, and applied to pastry school in France, all without his parents’ knowledge or permission. Naturally, he was accepted, so Liz has just four days to get the paperwork and travel arrangements squared away. As if it’s that easy. None of it makes sense. In the state of New York, you’re required to get consent from a parent or legal guardian to take the GED if you are under 19. You also can’t be enrolled in school, which means either Liz or Lucky would have had to take Aiden out of school before he could take the GED. Are we to believe all this happened without either parent noticing their son was not in school? Additionally, you have to take your GED in person after meeting all the requirements. How did he sneak off to do that?

The bigger issue I have with this is that they have written out all of Liz’s children and moved them out of state. Shame on the writers for this. Cam, Jake, and Aiden are all legacy characters.

What General Hospital Viewers Are Saying

We love reading what other fans have to say about the show, so please scroll down to the Comments section and share your thoughts. It’s at the bottom of this (and every) column.

The Good, The Bad, and The In-Between

I feel that the problem with this Serena character is the writing. It felt/feels so forced to get her to fit somewhere on the canvas. Starting from her first scene where she is calling Lucy mom. It is just so jarring. — Noelle

There are also two things that I’ve had it up to here over:
1.
