Will Sidwell make his move against Sonny before the truth about Cullum comes out? It’s a very soapy General Hospital commentary for the week ending April 3, 2026.

If you are a soap fan, General Hospital was the show to watch this week. There was romance, action, shifting alliances, and even an evil twin twist. Let’s kick things off with the revelation that “Nathan” is in fact Cassius Faison, the long-lost brother of Nathan, Britt, and Peter.

Rise Of The Evil Twin on General Hospital

Many of us have long suspected that the man claiming to be Nathan was an imposter. It turns out we were right! This week, General Hospital casually dropped that bombshell at the end of Tuesday’s episode when “Nathan” paid Sidwell a visit.

I love when General Hospital catches us by surprise like that. Most soaps reserve big moments like that for Friday’s, but we are lucky to get cliffhangers on random days in the middle of the week, which is always a treat.

Cassius Clues

If you paid close attention, General Hospital has been giving us subtle clues that “Nathan” was not Nathan from the beginning. When he first appeared in town, he didn’t seem to show any interest in visiting the love of his life who was lingering in a coma. He also claimed not to have any memory of the past seven years yet he seemingly had no interest in finding out where he’d been. Very unlike Nathan.

As time went on, “Nathan” was shown to have forgotten a basic police procedure when he accidentally broke the chain of custody with a piece of evidence in an investigation. Curious, but quickly explained away. We also saw Britt bristle over the idea of James meeting his dad. Strange, but easily dismissed. Another clue dropped during a winter storm when Lulu and “Nathan” shared shots and secrets. “Nathan” confided that, as a child, his father would make him recite the periodic table as punishment. Nathan was raised by real estate investor Dan Reeves who was all about numbers. However, Faison dabbled in science.

Recently, we saw that “Nathan” had lost his skill swinging a baseball bat to the degree that he couldn’t even hit a ball. Very odd indeed. But the biggest clue came during a conversation with Agent <s>99</s> Jacks when Britt let it slip that Faison had “four” children. Josslyn didn’t catch the slip, but viewers did.

The Love of a Lifetime

For me, the real tell that “Nathan” was an imposter was his romance with Lulu. The real Nathan wouldn’t have fallen for Maxie’s best friend. Nathan would have insisted on visiting Maxie’s bedside, and he would have waited far more than a measly six months before even thinking about moving on. Maxie was his true love. He would have fought for their marriage. He also would have insisted on taking custody of his son. Maybe not right away, but certainly long before Maxie woke up. Nothing against Spinelli, but Nathan wouldn’t have let another man raise his son.

Back to Lulu. Nathan was too honorable of a man to have found comfort in Maxie’s best friend’s arms. He would have known how much that would have hurt Maxie, so he would have pulled away from Lulu long before knocking back shots and kissing her. I truly believe in my heart of hearts that Nathan would never have fallen for Lulu, even if they had bonded over their shared traumas.

The Twin Twist

General Hospital’s writers could have taken this storyline in several directions: memory mapping, latex mask, clone, etc. However, they opted to go old school by having it revealed that Cassius is Nathan’s identical twin. I applaud that decision because it is the most realistic. Sure, we have had a large number of identical evil twins pop up in Port Charles over the years, but so what? It’s far more believable than a latex mask or someone getting plastic surgery to look exactly like another.

Identical twins share nearly the same DNA, so it makes sense that Cassius’ DNA matched Nathan’s. I don’t recall if they checked Cassius’ fingerprints, but with Cullum in play that test result could have easily been altered. Perhaps Cullum had Cassius’ fingerprints exchanged with Nathan’s in the system before Cassius appeared in town. No one would have noticed because Nathan had been long dead.

Good Versus Evil

Now, the big question is just where on the spectrum between good and evil Cassius lands. It doesn’t look good. Through conversations with Sidwell, it was revealed that Cassius and Sidwell are old acquaintances. It was Cassius’ idea to infiltrate the police department by assuming his twin’s identity. We also learned that Cassius was in on the plot to frame Laura – and by lucky happenstance Sonny – for Dalton’s murder. I have to assume that Cassius is also fully aware of how Britt is being forced to cooperate by using that serum to ensure compliance.

But there’s no denying that Cassius is protecting Rocco too. Cassius hasn’t told Sidwell or Cullum about the teen being on the docks and firing the gun at Cullum. Despite his deception, Cassius seems to have genuine feelings for Lulu. Will he betray his side and earn redemption by doing the right thing in the end? I don’t know, but I suspect that his relationship with Lulu won’t survive regardless.

Then again, Lulu grew up worshiping Luke, who had done more than his fair share of dirty deeds.

Does Mutter Know?

Now, the question on everyone’s mind is what Liesl Obrecht knew. Was she aware of Cassius’ existence or did she unknowingly give birth to twins? If she knew, did she willingly give up Cassius to Faison or was she told Cassius had died?

My theory is that Liesl knew of the twins, and that she knew she couldn’t save both, so she gave Cassius to Faison and hid Nathan with her sister Madeline. Faison only learned of Nathan seven years ago, so that fits with General Hospital’s history. Who knows what lies Faison spun to Liesl about Cassius. For all we know, he told her that their son had died.

Liesl can’t get back from her trip fast enough. I need answers!

Evildoers Doing Evil

Meanwhile, evildoers do what evildoers do best.

Marco’s death has rocked Sidwell. He immediately blamed Sonny with absolutely zero evidence, and he’s determined to make Sonny pay sooner rather than later. Usually, super villains are smarter than an average kindergartner, but not Sidwell. From the start he’s been written as someone who is corrupt to his core and doesn’t much care about things like boundaries and collateral damage. If innocent people are hurt — or die — that is the price that Sidwell is willing to pay.

It’s not about avenging Marco. Sidwell wants to kill and Sonny is the biggest threat.

The problem with Sidwell is that he likes to target the children of his enemies, which is why Ace is living in Ireland, Michael was caught in an explosion, and Kristina nearly died in a fire. I’m worried because Sidwell isn’t interested in learning the truth. He’s going to act because he’s not exactly a patient man.

Danger on Spoon Island

If Sidwell wanted to know what happened to Marco, he would start by questioning Pascal. A good villain would be suspicious if his son was murdered on the same night that his partner-in-crime was gunned down. He would wonder what Cullum had been doing on the piers with Jason and Britt at the time of the shooting. Has he even visited the wicked WSB director? Called him on their burner phones? No, he’s too busy plotting Sonny’s punishment.

At General Hospital, Lucas and Britt quickly figured out that Cullum murdered Marco. However, when Lucas showed up at Wyndemere instead of setting Sidwell straight about the identity of Marco’s killer, Lucas decided to take Sidwell up on the offer to continue residing in the castle. I was surprised. It was definitely not what I had expected. But it does makes sense.

Lucas is determined that Marco’s death is not in vain. He’s going to finish what Marco started by stealing more vials of serum for Britt. That might be easier said than done now that drunken Pascal is grieving the love that got away. I might have felt sorry for the guy if I just didn’t despise him so much.

The Blame Game

A boozy Pascal is a messy, messy man. Pascal tried to blame Lucas for Marco’s death. The way Pascal sees it, Lucas led Marco astray by enlisting Marco’s help to steal the serum that keeps Britt’s Huntington’s disease symptoms at bay. (Side note: I think her tremors are a result of withdrawals from the medication that Cullum has been supplying her)

Let’s set aside the fact that Marco was up to his eyeballs in illegal activity including the kidnapping of a WSB agent. Marco courted danger every day because of he was fully submersed in his father ‘s world. No one forced Marco to do anything. He chose to throw his lot in with Sidwell in exchange for Sidwell’s promise to kill Sonny. Marco – wrongly – blamed Sonny for Natalia’s accidental overdose. In the end, Lucas helped Marco to see the error of Marco’s ways. Marco wanted to do the right thing, so he chose to help Britt. Marco knew the risks and the consequences if he was caught, but he did it despite the danger.

It was Pascal who sealed Marco’s fate with one ill-advised phone call to Cullum. Pascal needs to take a long hard look in the mirror if he wants to see the person responsible for Marco’s death. Then he needs to look at Cullum and finally at Sidwell. These are the men who put Marco in an early grave, not Lucas.

What’s Next?

Will Sidwell make a move against Sonny before he learns the truth about Cullum? I don’t know. I hope not because my gut tells me that Sidwell will attempt an eye-for-an-eye kind of punishment, which puts a target on all of Sonny’s children – possibly his grandchildren. Marco wasn’t innocent, but Sonny’s kids and grandkids are.

General Hospital has never shied away from mob violence or making the innocent pay. Michael was shot in the head because of Sonny’s lifestyle, and Michael was violently raped in prison because Sonny and Jason covered up a perfectly justified homicide. Through the years, Sonny’s children have been kidnapped (by Faith Roscoe and A.J. Quartermaine), they’ve had bullets fly over their heads and gone into hiding on Sonny’s island when his enemies have gotten too close. They shouldn’t have to die because their father’s enemy is an idiot.

License To Kill

Josslyn knows a thing or two about growing up Corinthos. Is that why she’s turning out to be an awful lot like Sonny when it comes to dealing with her enemies?

I was a little taken aback when Josslyn casually suggested that Britt murder Cullum. Don’t get me wrong — Cullum should die — but I prefer someone like Jack or even Sidwell take him out than for Britt to do it. Was Josslyn going to give Britt a Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free card in the event that Britt was caught? When Britt (thankfully) failed to carry out the plot, Josslyn decided to take matters into her own hands. Did I miss the part where Josslyn got a license to kill with her WSB badge?

Justice or Revenge?

The more I watch Josslyn, the more I see shades of Sonny. She thinks just like him, except she is self-righteous because she is on the side of law and order. It’s not Josslyn’s call to make whether Cullum should live or die. Her job is to build a case against him and arrest him when there’s sufficient evidence to charge him. Her job is to report to Jack. She is supposed to be on the side of justice, but she behaves more like a DVX agent than a WSB agent.

I was willing to keep an open mind about Josslyn joining the WSB, but all I’ve seen since she’s become a spy is someone who constantly defies orders, couldn’t catch a clue if it fell on her head, and is quick to act as judge, jury, and executioner. Jerry Jacks would be proud of his niece.

The Jacks Connection

Speaking of Jerry, I’m still confused how Cullum can have absolutely no inkling about who Josslyn is. Not only did Jack’s previous assistant Colette Moreau know that Josslyn was a WSB agent, but she was in league with Pascal. She’s also locked up in prison where Cullum would have had easy access to her. Plus, by now Cullum must have Googled Josslyn’s name and discovered her connections to both Sonny Corinthos and Jasper Jacks, as well as Faison’s pal Jerry Jacks.

Why isn’t Cullum even the teensiest bit suspicious of Josslyn, especially after waking up to find her in his ICU room? I love General Hospital, but the writers have dropped the ball here. Cullum isn’t a very good WSB director if he is buying Josslyn’s lame act.

Killow Secrets

<s>Killow</s> Willow got an earful when she overheard Kai and Trina talking about Willow shooting Drew. She knows that they know, but they don’t know that she knows. Oh, what a tangled web.

I asked my brother (he’s in law enforcement) about Willow’s predicament. He explained that double jeopardy isn’t necessarily ironclad. A person can be retried for a crime they were acquitted of if credible new evidence surfaces. The cavate is that none of the evidence from the first trial can be used in the second trial. New charges could be filed against Willow if there was compelling new evidence. Two witnesses to her crime would certainly pose a threat to Willow.

Willow should be nervous. It’s why I also believe that she has no intention of letting Drew live. She made a full confession to him, which is not protected by spousal privilege since she continues to threaten his life.

Willow’s next move

If we’ve learned anything about Willow over the past several months, it’s that she isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty – and she isn’t afraid to kill. Willow is all about self-preservation and she’s capable of anything. I don’t think even Sidwell appreciates just how dangerous Willow is.

I shudder to think of what Willow will do if she feels cornered. She’s unstable and lethal which is a dangerous combination. It’s time for Willow’s house of cards to collapse because I really can’t stomach seeing Drew confined to the wheelchair and being made to look like a victim. He’s no victim. He’s an awful man who has done terrible things. It’s time for both Drew and Willow to go away and pay for their crimes.

Raising Phoebe

Folks, I hate the idea of Brook Lynn and Chase raising Phoebe or even getting temporary custody of her. Chase has become such a cartoonish character. He’s been positively horrible to Michael, accusing Michael of attempted murder and framing Willow, but when Brook Lynn and Chase needed help swaying the social worker, Michael put his feelings for Chase aside and wisely suggested they ask Congresswoman Willow to help.

Chase couldn’t get to Willow’s place fast enough, confident that she would put in a good word for Chase and Brook Lynn because Willow is just the best person in the whole wide world. 🙄🙄

The Truth Shall Set Brook Lynn Free

I want the truth to come out. Chase needs to know how wrong he was about Willow, about Michael, and most importantly, about his own judgement. He risked his marriage and career for a woman who lied to his face time and again. Not just about shooting Drew, but through the years including when she married Chase under false pretenses. It never made sense to me that he continued to give Willow pass after pass.

I have no desire to see Chase rewarded with a baby he doesn’t deserve and a happy wife he put second behind his ex. Both Brook Lynn and Phoebe are better off without him. Every time I even think about Chase and Phoebe, I’m reminded that Chase has put poor Wiley and Amelia back into the arms of a woman who believes murder is a viable option to her problems.

Chase needs ot stay far away from children. Has Lulu learned nothing from what happened with Michael when Michael killed Claudia? It’s always the coverup. Always.

I realize Rocco was recently on probation for breaking into Dalton’s lab, but Rocco acted in defense of both Jason and Britt. Britt was knocked unconscious by Cullum, and Cullum was about to do something dastardly with that lethal looking weapon he produced. A weapon that was recovered from the scene of the crime and would corroborate Rocco’s version of events. An arrest warrant didn’t give Cullum permission to murder Jason and Britt.
